APRIL 22 2017

THE LIFE CYCLE IF THE HAY STRING...STRONG STUFF-- STARTS OUT-- MANY TIMES IN CANADA... HOLDING 40 TO 50 POUND BALES OF HAY IN TIGHT WADS...IT LANDS IN THE BARN OF SOME HORSE OWNER-- WHERE IT IS DESTINED TO RELEASE THE FLAKES OF HAY  TO BE DISTRIBUTED TO EQUINE RESIDENTS. BY THE  "HORSE FEEDERS".-... THERE ARE USUALLY  TWO STRINGS  (3 STRING BALES WEIGH 75 POUNDS AND ARE TOO HEAVY FOR THE NORTH EASTAVG HORSE FEEDER- AND SOMETIME THOSE  ARE WIRE...)

ONCE IN THE STABLE, -AT THIS POINT BECOMES A CRITIQUE OF THE FEEDERS AND BARN IN GENERAL -----IT GETS EITHER CUT, OR WEDGED OFF ONE CORNER BY HOLDING THE BALE STILL WITH ONE KNEE  BY THE BARN FEEDED WHO HAS MORE ENERGY THAN ORGANIZATIONAL SKILLS-- THIS PRODUCES ABOUT A 3 FOOT STRING  LOOP.  WHICH CAN BE DEADLY, IF AROUND SOME HORSE OR PERSON'S ANKLE...  THE REASON IT DOES NOT GET CUT IS NO ONE HAS EVER USED A PIECE OF THE HAY STRING TO NAIL A PAIR OF SCISSORS TO THE WALL IN THE HAY STRING  CUTTIN G PLACE.   USUALLY A TEEN AGER TYPE PERSON... HOWEVER IF A PAIR OF SCISSORS CAN BE FOUND.. IT IS EASILY SEVERED. THIS IS WHERE THE SOPHISTICATION OF TEH FEEDER IS MOST OBVIOUS.... A TRUE PROFESSIONAL  HORSE FEEDER, WILL CUT THAT STRING NEXT TO THE KNOT AND END UP WITH A 7 OR 8 FOOR PIECE  OF VERY STRONG STUFF WHICH RIVALS DUCT TAPE FOR USEFULLNESS...  IF YOU DON'T CUT IT NEXT TO THE KNOT YOU END UP WITH2 PIECES OF 3.5 HEAVY STRING TIED TOGETHER BY A KNOT  WHICH HOWEVER YOU TRY AND USE IT WILL LAND THE KNOT IN EXACTLY THE WRONG PLACE. MANY A SOPHISTICATED STABLE IS HELD  TOGETHER WITH HAY STRING.... OURS IS CURRENTLY LIGHT BLUE....

ALL OF IT  SHOULD LAND IN THE HAY STRING COLLECTION  PLACE-- A CAN,   PILED IN A CORNER  OR TIED TO A RAFTER FOR FUTURE USE...
WHERE IT SHOULD NOT LAND IS IN THE MANURE PILE---BEGINNIERS OFTEN REFER TO THE MANURE PILE AS "THE TRASH"
PROPERLY MAINTAINED, NOTHING IS FURTHER FROM THE TRUTH- TOSSING HAY STRING IN WITH THE "USED HAY"  AN CAUSE A TALENTED MECHANIC 3 OR 4 HOURS OF  BACK BREAKING EFFORT AS THE MANURE PILE AGES INTO LOVELY TOP SOIL, THAT HAY STRING SURVIVES  THE 3 YEAR AGING TO LAND IN THE LAWN OR ANOTHER HAY FIELD WHERE IT WILL ATTACK A MOWER AND USE IT'S INCREDIBLE STREGNTH TO ADHERE ITSELF TO THE  CENTER OF TEH MOWER...  WHERE THE MOWER MOTOR WILL GIVE OUT BEFORE THE HAY STRING BURNS OR BREAKS.

COFFEE CUPS AND SODA CANS IN THE MANURE  PILE  DEMONSTRATE PURE IGNORANCE- BUT THE HAY STRING CAN BE AN EXEEDINGLY EXPENSIVE ERROR...

IN THE STUFF I SPREAD YESTERDAY I SAW 2 PIECES OF STRING-- I ALSO NOTED WE SHOULD HAVE MORE PEOPLE LEARN TO USE THE TRACTOR BY  MIXING LIME IN THE PILES MORE OFTEN..  IT IS AN EXCELLENT BACK HOE LEARNING PLACE

Dear Carlene,
I hope all is well. I'm happy to see that you received the donations from Logans MS Awareness day. He was so proud to have raised funds and to have to give back to the SDP.
I wanted to tell you a little about Pixie first vacation. She is a fabulous traveler and did wonderful on the plane. I was so proud of her.

Our vacation was fabulous and full of adventures and my sweet girl made it so much better for me so I could keep up with my boys and family with all the walking. She was my ⭐️ shinning star ⭐️ once again.
Then I was sitting outside waiting for the boys to get the luggage and a lady from the military came up to me and said " I have to you your dog was the talk of the plane. She was so well behaved and we have never seen a dog with such wonderful manners." We got to talking and I told her how I received Pixie and how she got me walking again and just pretty much all of of it. She walked away in tears. I said " don't walk away in tears Pixie is the best thing that ever happened to me and she forever changed my life and gave me so much back".

Hi Carlene!

We are heading home from our trip to Disney. Let's just say that we have some tired kiddos, Wendy included. We had a great time and Wendy did fantastic! We took her back to the hotel for a break most days and her cooling vest worked well in the parks. We heard many compliments on how well behaved she was. She had some firsts on the trip, first boat rides, amusement park rides (including a safari), and meeting Disney characters, even Chip and Dale, her nemesis the chipmunks.  We encountered some other service dogs, some barking at Wendy and needing to be restrained, others acknowledged her, but kept walking. Wendy kept her eye on them, but was well behaved.

We had lots of people asking about Wendy and handed out our cards with SDP on it. Many people, especially law enforcement/security, commented on Wendy and were impressed with her. We heard more "beautiful dog" than horse comments, especially about how nice she looked and her coat. Lots of Great Dane people chatted with us. We talked about SDP a lot and the 24he cameras and new puppies.

CP Ingrid was a huge help before and during our trip, making sure things ran smoothly and if we had any issues. Because of her, Hunter was given once in a lifetime experiences, that were made Wendy friendly, so she didn't get stepped on in large crowds.  The Disney cast members were great with Wendy. Ingrid also helped with the meet and greet in a cool spot with snacks. We had a great 2 and a half hour visit, who included Nancy, Etta & Zena, Dennis & Savvy and some of our family. Ingrid made it easier to navigate around Disney, and we are very grateful.

That's it for now!
