moving on-- clearing up problems of wierd balances on th e 990 form that the accountant irene had done..
turns out there is an accountant rule SAFAS117 that if you are given a grant of 100,000 -- in 2 payments of 50,000 per year, the year that was awarded gets the whole $100000 even tho you MAY not have a penny yet.
that raises h3ll with my internal mental process..which is simply you get $20 in the mail-- it goes in the banK and Stays there til you spend it ---by check-- therefor the balance in th echeckbook should show a vague similarity to the money On the bank STATEMENTS.'

tho this eamil sounds a little harsh, the dogs love working and are very comfortable doing their jobs-- and getting all the benefits of doing a good job..

I have just learned a hard lesson and Emmett is paying for it. He was never the problem, it was me.There is a right way and a wrong way to treat these dogs. And my way was the wrong way.
I let him get away with things, not correcting bad behavior, worrying about hurting his feelings, not any more. You need to be consistent every time, don't take their training for granted, practice, practice, practice, talk to your dog, they are a tool that needs to be kept sharp. When they are working they need to keep 100% focus on you, no distractions what so ever. I have adopted a 100%, all the time,hands off policy while out of the house. He needs to know only me for the time being and get all his love and affection from me too. I've seen great changes in him. I am so thankful for this second chance. I am finally understanding how to use a service dog and how much more they will do for you. When things are not going as planned "stop the world....., take a breath" words to live by, thank you Steve and Megan. I will not fail him.
