I CAN ALMOST BREATHE- AND I MAY JUST HAVE ENOUGH ENERGY TO PACK UP ALL THE EMPTY PLASTIC WATER BOTTLES THAT ARE KNEE DEEP JUST INSIDE MY DOOR-- I WAS LYING IN BED LISTENING TO THE TED LECTURES --- "PUSHING FLUIDS" AND PITCHING THE EMPTY BOTTLES AT THE DOOR.
I WONDER HOW MEGAn s doing... she has the quiet sick kind of thing-- mine is noisy.. she took a camera picture of her tonsils- and she was worse than when she started so was on her way to an md-- one of those "doc in a box" deals.

i am old enough to see the transition from a house call being paid for with a coffee can of home made beans (a preferred payment with my husband) or a 15 minute office call for $20-- to an insurance paid office call ( 80% of $20) to an insurance person standing with the receptionist saying you have to book patients 2 every 15 minutes . when he quit private practice the ins people had it down to the patient had a co-pay of $10 and tom got $6.83 per visit to runbetween exam rooms.. and teh ins company built a huge new office building in boston.... and hartford... and tom's nephew decided not to become an md.
and now i see the ins business sneaking in on the practice of vet medicine--- sounds so logical at the start.
take bankers-- please do-- another system which a bunch of paper pushers get someone else to do all the actual work-
heaven help the person who puts a vet bill on a credit card they can not immediately pay off--- and the credit card has a fancy name for charging 39% interest... i call them indentured servants.
should be criminal.
i get that from my father -- he always hated bankers.

i've been inside too long....

i have also noticed that when you don't do much... nothing happens that is amusing to anyone.
my amusement has been reduced to collecting dryer lint in a toilet paper tube because steve said to do that to start a fire.

the people at the school wheere steve works box up all the left overs on friday afternoon... so when he arrives here sat morning, he has 2 piles of tinfoil pans-- one for the chickens- they will eat anything-- and one for us people-- this week diced ham...
he has gone to see if the hens have any eggs-- we have been known to have the kind of omlet-- 2 eggs and 4 pounds of diced ham-- the egg just glues the ham into a lump.. but it tastes goooood.
