Out of my 31,755 days (so far)_there was one night because of an airline schedule that I had to put my dog in a kennel and braved the storm alone it was the only time I've been in the house by myself and let me tell you I did not like it----because of all the things that dog provides from companionship to humor to safety.. all of a sudden I was minus all of it.. right at this moment I have stopped to wonder why people would want to be lacking such an animal .. I am positive that Mister Pelosi would have had plenty of time to call 911 and then sit down and have a cup of coffee before the guy with the hammer got anywhere near his head. I got to wondering why anyone could object to the security the dog provides. heaven knows they pay plenty of money for electronic devices and then have to worry about whether they've turned them on or off because there is no off button on a Jack Russell.. they are on duty 24 hours a day.
Granted you might have to spend a few minutes out of your day worrying about another “being”. like do they have water, and did ? I pick that up.?.. but that's a very small price to pay for not getting hit in the head with a hammer. and don't give me the bit about he travels a lot well Jack Russells fit in a carrier under the seat in front of you very nicely.
I can't tell you how many people with hammers Wanda has saved me from... because her attention is so acute that I am sure all of the hammer toting criminals would very quickly decide to go pick on somebody else's house because at 17 lbs she is all noise but she has friends---- our crowd of great Danes which average about 150 lbs each and she knows it's her job to wake them up. consequently I don't have to worry about criminals carrying hammers trying to break in to ransack. goldies farm -- or as someone just pointed out maybe they already have ransacked the place and I didn't notice--- it is a little bit in the process of getting tidied up..
