the only back and forth mails i had yesterday were between george and i- and some were pretty good
history of the case-- chaos has a lump--and since she is nursing-- it looks like it is a normal milk producing lump
well even if it is in the right location - and relatively size and shape- it had no nipple
her temp was slowly rising 102.5 so i started emailing george-- who is on vacation and floating about on some lake.
"count her nipples"
we all crawled around the floor with the girls counting nipples and found
olive had 12
bailey 7
and chaos 8
i emailed george
george said 10 is usual and to put her on amox and keep our eye on it.
well there is no dog on the property who gets more "watching" than earlene and paul's favorite dog chaos
and then it started to ozzz
"what color is the ooozz"
"clear drops "
"must be opening encourage it to drain with a needle"
"as soon as i go pick up pizza"
"what color?"
"slightly darker red than the pizza"
"keep going with the amox"
we have really great vet advice- altho unusual at times.

now after the nipple study...
it is about one facet of training
we went to dinner at the club- to use up our $300 before aug 1st--- and hillary handled bumpy perfectly-- and he looked terrific.
megan on the other hand handled fido much too loosely- fido being such a friendly trouble free dog can be turned loose anywheree- so megan has got in the habit of forgiving his wandering.. she knows how he is thinking so she adapts the "oh go ahead" --naturally he is taking it one step further.
it hit me tht we do a lot to define the difference between
harness on=working
harness off= do as you please
and she is loosing that with fido
time to sharpen up that distinction.

i took bailey with me for a quick run to home depot and put her vest on-- but had no leash--
with a couple verbal "damm it pay attention" commands she was on the button.. including stand and stay while i ran down a crowded aisle --- when i returned people were pushing carriages past her as she just stood--- bored... perfect !.
fido used to be like that.
we have a ways to go with these pups before we have any up to the level of fido and bailey

today... Sunday stew normally
but my goal is to get the deck/back room ready for a litter of pups
and we need a discussion about the size of the concrete pad on the deagle hill
jeff said they might have time to do that soon-- have a look at their other projects http://www.jmasterson.com/ i could not see on their web where they said "dead horses burried"
