The 20th?? Why am I reminded of the expression too much month left at the end of the money it's only the 20th?? ohh well we are getting things done I shouldn't say we um Janine has organized the rehabilitation of crazy acres and it really does look lovely -it's getting there-- The concentration of the moment ---there's a roof on the chicken coop or what will be the chicken coop which is to the rear of what was the iced tea tent then there's now got a big sign on it that says donkey cafe whatever.
even now if a bus of daycare people came up the driveway there would be a place for them to sit and relax and watch the animals and eat whatever lunch they bring themselves. Hopefully the people who are the ones hired 2 organize the activities we'll find that crazy acres AKA goldies farm is an interesting place for them to bring people to enjoy the fresh air or the raining or whatever happens to be happening.. if I put myself in the place of these activities directors it's a pretty discouraging job to have 40 people of varying mental capabilities arrive on your doorstep every morning and expect to be entertained somehow till 5:00 in the afternoon and I can sympathize and see why very often they'll plop a piece of paper in front of them and a very disorganized box of crayons and say go ahead and color it.... then later on cheerfully say OK it's time for bingo like that's new? They don't have much to work with and usually they have no budget they've been hired and it is expected that they are of their own minds will create something to entertain all these people it cant happen ... Even the most creative and enthusiastic human cannot be creative five days a week 8 hours a day with usually no budget . I have seen,,, and as I sit here and type this I can think exactly who I mean---a woman in one of those tipped back recliner wheelchairs bed who's way in the back of the room nearly immobile I don't know what the reason is but she is smart as a whip and there she is with nothing to do 8 hours a day... And because she's really looking for some kind of mental stimulation the staff consider her a constantly annoying problem. And then there is the two or three people at New England home for the deaf who are also blind and require an attendant the constantly explaining things to them.. I can't tell you the joy the one of them had at patting Wanda--and when we went back with the bunnies she could barely contain herself---well we tried to contain the rabbit from nibbling on her arm. so many of these people have nothing. that makes us excitingly effective--sort of like the valedictorian in a class of 1--it's easy to beat the competition when there isn't any.
moving on to my amazing discovery of the day--there was outside of my door a small collection of towels both hand towels and bath towels an absolutely disgraceful condition they'd been used to wash the floor or anything else whatever they were big time dirty.. I hated to even pick them up and get them in the dumpster which was there destiny however. my little go Kart was parked right there so with one hand on the chain link fence I picked up one of those towels and stuck it into the chain link fence so it would hang by a corner.. that was pretty easy so I picked up the other 3 and stuck him into the chain link fence to hang by one corner.... and here I am 24 hours later and they look out the door and those towels look clean no I'm not saying they're going to be sterilized although I don't know what the sun does but they have flipped in the breezes to the point where they've shaken all the dirt out of them.. and now conceivably could be put in the normal laundry cycle with my clothing.. which in its original condition I never would have done—
so much for the day I get up with great designs of organizing something or cleaning up some mess or another and many times I end up sitting so this morning I've already done probably 4 1/2 minutes of exercising
