USTABE, WHEN I WAS A TEENAGER, I THOUGHT HAVING "THE UNUSUAL" ... "DIFFERENT THAN THE REST OF TEH WORLD"   WAS TEH WAY TO GO---  THEN I FOUND OUT IF I HAD A ROLLS ROYCE AND A blown out  TAIL LIGHT I WOULD NOT BE ABLe TO DRIVE FOR MONTHS WHILE I SENT TO ENGLAND FOR A LIGHTBULB as opposed to getting a bulb from the  corner auto store....  for my generic vw bug...

---- soooooo  one of the volunteers took their car in to be inspected-- and she had a tiny dent but totally working tail light- so teh "guy" there said he would  have to give her  a rejection sticker because of that dented light......   -- and being a normal sort of person  she  was not familiar with rejection stickers so  she asked him to fix it--- which he did ..$1200 later... ..
it is bothereing me--- mostly because of my past, i know all about rejection stickers -- they give you a week to get stuff fixed.  the car i now have is about the first one i ever had to pass inspection the first time round.....   now i don't want to  have anyone think my car is a battered piece of junk-- but it has lead an active life.
and i think i have a dent near a tail light where a post hit me.  i don't need a sticker, but maybe i should play teh 80 year old- afraid of a dented tail light because my friend told me  i could be in trouble with teh police and get a rejuction sticker.   when you are expected to be confused.... be confused... you might learn amazing things.

could be-- with computerization of inspection and now photographing all problems  that dented lights can be rejected--- but that seems stretching it.  i wanna try....

hopefully she went to a place over 10 miles away-- because of my history with cars, i am well known with teh local mechanics who have duct taped me thru more than one inspecton.

chain link gate project is going well   between substituting the  rusted out corners with 1.25  pvc pipe and fittings  and bolstering  up teh not quite rusted out by covering with  with alot of screws and 1.50 pipe.. bud, skip and i got it down to a science..  having all kinds of  room to work inthe nice shaded g'tent made it an interesting job... not painful..
also teh camera person's suggestion of turning them upside down was a brilliant idea...

HERE'S A FIRST: I'M OUTSIDE WITH ASHER SO HE CAN DO HIS NIGHTLY ROUTINE AND I TAKE HIM DOWN OUR USUAL BACK ROAD ON THE SIDE OF OUR BUILDING. MY BACK IS TO THE ROAD AND ALL OF A SUDDEN I HEAR THIS LOUD, BOOMING VOICE LIKE IT WAS COMING FROM THE SKY: "WE LOVE YOUR DOG." I TURNED AROUND TO SEE A POLICE CAR TWO LANES OVER AND THE TWO OFFICERS WAVED, ONE WITH THE LITTLE MICROPHONE TO THE EXTERNAL SPEAKERS IN HIS HAND. ASHER'S GETTING PRETTY WELL KNOWN AROUND THE NYPD! 

Dear Carlene,
I had to have an emergency surgery yesterday to remove one of my ports. Pixie was once again amazing and took the hearts of all the staff at the ER. My dr said it was going to be awhile till they got me in --then he said let me call them back and tell them you have the best SD I’ve ever met to get things rolling and the right sedation cause I did have some breakfast. He just loved Pixie. Then we had all the staff keeping me occupied cause they where all talking about how they have never seen a dog love someone the way Pixie loves me and they had to see it for themselves. I finally went down for surgery at like 4:30 and Pixie wasn’t to pleased with having to be separated. She was practically pulling Jimmy so she come with me poor girl. She waited in the room with him impatiently watching out the glass door for me. Once I finally came back and the door opened she wasn’t letting them in she needed to check me over give me kisses and make sure I was ok. The staff was once again besides themselves. We finally got to go home at 7:30. I was waiting for a wheelchair and said let’s go. I walked with Pixie she kept me up and stayed tight all the staff stopped what they where doing each and every staff member this is and said “ I knew she was a special girl but this is amazing” so the girl with the wheelchair finally comes around cause it’s a long hallway down to the car and she says “ get in. I’m very winded cause of being put to sleep so I take it. Pixie is like hey I’m supposed to help you mom. So here’s my girl pulling me and the wheelchair walking Right along side. She is my sweet Pixie I’m so blessed.
