I have just heard about 10 different accounts of how impressed the staff here at CST is with your amazing work at the Service Dog Project - and how much fun they had in the process of helping!  

I heard that you guys might be wanting to put together FENCING  next week!  Is there anything that we can bring with us next week tool wize that would help you?  I am sure that we can borrow tools from our facilities shop if that helps.  Please keep that in mind!  

Thanks again for allowing us to take a peek into what you guys do to help people!  

Second question - would you guys be willing to come into CST some lunchtime in the future and give a talk about what you do.  I feel that this opportunity has really been an education for those that attended - and that the entire company would love to hear about your great work.

Yesterday is an example that people see with amazement how we work as one. 

My Shinning Star ⭐️ did it yet again. My legs started to give out as the elevator took off I wasn't ready. My baby braces tight and saved me from a nice fall in the elevator! She always knows how to keep me protected😍 Pixie is my hero my Star my love. She never has her eyes off me. She knows in a second what to do. It's amazing how she knows when she did an extra good job after I catch my balance she looks up at me to see if my facial expression is back to normal and gives me big kisses. I always praise her. 

People stood there saying wow "how did your dog ever know what to do without you saying anything" I took such pride knowing that Pixie knows my every need without asking because we are one! A match made in heaven and as I love to say we are 6 legs and 4 eyes. 

I want to thank you and all your amazing staff for my beautiful gift and my gift to life back.

RUBBER DUCKY HAS BEEN SAVED-- HE SUFFERED TERRIBLY DUE TO A SUBMARINE ATTACK  BY A HERD OF SNAPPING TURTLES...  BUT FLEX TAPE TO THE RESCUE- WITH OVER 20 BLACK PATCHES HE NEARLY LOOKS AS CHEERFUL AS BEFORE.. IN THEORY WE WERE TO TRY HAVING BENTLEY AND I RIDE ON DUCKY OVER IN HOOD POND FOR A CAMERA SHOT...-- WE BETTER TAKE THE FLEX TAPE, COMPRESSOR AND SHOP VAC WIT H US AS WE MAY NOT  HAVE FOUND EVERY SMALL PUNCTURE.. MOST OF TEH TEARS WERE A DEFINITE TRIANGLE. 

THAAT FLEX TAPE IS DIFFERENT-- HAVING MORE THAN THE TIP OF YOUR FINGER STUCK TO THE STUFF COULD BE A TERRIBLE PROBLEM.....THE SHARP BLADE OF MY KNIFE COLLECTED SO MUCH GOO, IT TOOK ME 20 MINUTES TO GET IT NEARLY CLEAR OF THE GOOP... EVEN AFTER WE GOOGLED AND READ THAT ACETONE WOULD REMOVE IT..  BOY ... NOT WILLINGLY...

 THE TAPE ITSELF IS NOT VERY STRONG.... AND IF YOU CAN GET A SMALL HOLE STARTED YOU CAN RIP OFF CHUNKS... I DON'T SEE HOW ANY LESS THAN 3 PEOPLE COULD MANAGE THE STUFF.. 1 HOLD TEH ROLL..2 HOLD TEH FLAP..3  RUN THE KNIFE.. BUT WHERE WE PUT IT DOES NOT LEAK AIR...

WE EVEN TRIED TO LOCATE  ADDITIONAL PINHOLES WITH SOAPY WATER.. I AM NOT SUER WE ARE DONE... BUT I THINK IT IS  "USEABLE"

I GAVE HER A CLUE ABOUT THE 5 GALLON WATER COOLER  IN THE HOUSE AND MAYBE THE PROBLEM WAS CLOSELY RELATED TO THE GARBAGE CAN LID PROBLEM...

THE ONLY OTHER REASON FOR THE 100% IS THT THE CHICKENS DRANK IT ALL????  WE DON'T HAVE THAT MANY CHICKENS

WE KEE[ HER WTER UP ON A TABLE BECAUSE DOGS LOVE A NEWLY FILLED WATER PAIL.. AND DOGS... FOR WHATEVER  CHEMICAL REASON ... CAN TURN AN ENTIRE PAIL TO SLIME IF THEY EVEN LAP UP  A SMALL DRINK FROM IT...  HORSES THEN WILL NOT DRINK IT... THE REVEARSE IS NOT TRUE  HORSES CAN DRINK FROM A PAIL ACCEPTABLE TO A DOG WITHOUT CONTAMINATING THE PAIL... 

HORSES HAVE A  VERY TIDY SUCTION PROCESS THAT ALLOWS THEM TO DRINK FROM 1/2  INCH BELOW THE SURFACE-- WHICH AVOIDS FLOATING OR SINKING CONTAMINATES..... UNLIKE DANES.

AH... NOTHING LIKE A CUPPA SUGAR WITH COFFEE TO START THE DAY.. NOW IT IS ABOUT WATER--- THE USE THEREOF -

I WAS TOLD THAT 15 MINUTES A DAY ON SOME TREADMILL CAUSED SOME PERSON TO LOSE 50 POUNDS-- OK...I HAVE GREAT HOPES AS MY TREADMILL TIME IS ALL THE WAY UP TO 3 MINUTES-- AND THAT IS JUST AFTER MY SIT UPS.... I DON'T KNOW HOW MANY I DID TODAY BECAUSE SOMEONE BORROWED MY MAGIC MARKER AND I CAN NOT MAKE A MARK ON THE PAPER BETWEEN MY TOES WITH A NORMAL PEN AS I SIT UP...MAYBE 15-- I DUNNO.

CAR;L PRICE COMPANY SOLD AND REPAIERD HEAVY EQUIPMENT-- FARM EQUIPMENT ETC .. 1940-50 AREA... MY POINT WAS... I DISTINCTLY REMEMBER HIM SAYING "I AM NOT SENDING THESE MEN HOME TO THIER WIVES SMELLING LIKE GREASE"-- SO IN THE "SHOP" THERE WAS A SHOWER... BLACK WITH SOLIDIFIED GREASE... I THOUGHT YOU MIGHT LIKE TO KNOW THAT. ---- PLUS SOMEONE CAME TO PICK UP THEIR RELATIVE IN A VERY TIRED TRUCK AND I PICKED UP THAT SMELL... EVEN OVER THE CIGARETTE SMELL FROM OUR SMOKING SHACK.

i had some absolutely brilliant concept to "air"  in the DD  -- however........it is gone 

 so you will have to put up with the overwhelming  manure pile problem.

historically , i/we trundeled it out beyod teh pond in a carved out spot where i could add lime and churn it to the left-- so that 3 years of left hand chruning the pile closest to "a" field was top soil... life was good...and  the grass was green...

then came the cameras and  spotless cleaning came into vogue and the quality of the manure pile went downhill.. problem ... more shavings than poo.-- so i started a secondary  depository out near the 3rd oparking lot... behind the arena.. where i figured i could eventually use teh shavings to cover the whole area...

problem was/is  water runs down hill-- i.e..... off the arena roof and into the level  path i was using to drive teh tractor.-- this provided a churning of any outside poo into lovely black mud.. deep dark  and slippery mud.. great for growing onions ( per my father)  however i am no longer  in any  onion growing phase- and would prefer a level driving path..  i have a great aversion to driving any vehicle in a  anything but 90 degrees of gravity...

for $5000 the drivewaya guy was to come solve the entire problem with his heavy equipment in about  20 minutes.. our tractor will take days..-- the wear and tear on it .. and me ... is probably a little less than $5000

yesterday i sat for hours ... in the sun not by  the sea--- but by the manure pile and studied what might be possible with our tractor.. it certainly would be an awful lot easier to have the $5000 guy do it  but he is in no hurry-- and as you all know... shlt happens...and piles up..

the level driving path is not the only complication..... the preg donks.. will have to lose 

"outdoor"  privileges-- and some other fence will have to  come down adn a gate to keep the rest of the herd out of the stall-- so teh complications are many--

 i have no problem driving the tractor and using the backhoe in heated and airconditioned comfort  because it  is still easier than using  a sewing machine -- but it is all the fence moving that slows me up...

i am left hoping some "fence lifting: type person comes along today  to help  get this project started..  if i fail... there is always teh $5000 guy.... when he gets around to it.

next to geroge winning the #1 serv dog in the country, i had another exhilarating experience yesterday...  a very nice couple came by-- they had heard of us..  wife had something... wobbly walker will do for a diagnosis to avoid any hyppa rules... with much care and less speed husband got her walker out of the trunk and positioned it nest to the passenger door... while thier child stood patiently  waiting..-- they came into the t tent while i was making leashes  and out of the blue i told her to walk to the barn minus that walker-- left hand in hubby's right back pocket and off they went....

when they returned the child said "i have not seem mommy walk like that in years"  -- and mommy could not believe she was standing up straight and moving  normally.

i realize i will have to fight the  cane and walker manufacturing lobby-- but pass the word along.... going out to dinner?  leave that walker home... and start standing up straingh again...  it is not anthing i could patent either...  not tht i want to go thru that again after the shee wee episode.

doctors doing the convential -- cane to  walker to wheelchair progression...  it is great fun to break that.!  ---- then to sit in  with the puppies...

they were soooo happy-- life changing afternoon for them...

 tehn we have  ADI  (assistance dogS international.org.)   they are at it agin..  trying to legislate common sense....sent me reems of paper on what is required to  declare a service dog a PTSD dog... it starts out  with all the gyrations necessary to protect the applicnat's  paperwork from prying eyes-- my solution to that is somewhere i have put "do not send me any information  you don't want public"   bcause i don't care what   latin name describes whatever you have... you have to come here for a look-see at which point  we can determine a wobbly walker when we see them.

ADI then goes on with having mental health  professionals on staff to consult  blah  blah  blah   -- so now anyong applying for a dog shold leave that off their application... as far as i can see  all these vets with massive wobbling problems all could put down ptsd also... well i am a dog trainer  and we can deal with the wobbles--- - for mental health you will have to go elsewhere..

 which brings up another problem in th e news.... govertment and disability/ medicaid   stuff...heaven knows what the gov't will do... that is not my area... but....i have a real problem with people who  basically are disabled because some doctor told them they have some problem which makes some people unable to function anywheres near normally...it becomes some badge of entitlement.      "because i am disabled......."

someone called  re an application for a dog for thier  brother...( i have forgotten the dx... but one i recognized...) we got to the part about coming here and living independently in the guest house with the dog for a few days...

teh sister remarked"  i don't know how we could manage that with his attendent"

me...what attendant? 

her    "he had someone from 8 to 5  m-friday to cook his meals.."  

me... "if he can not prepare his own meals he can not get a sd dog  from us  " 

her " oh,   his attendant would take care of the dog and he does cook on weekends..."

me " is cooking the only reason he has an attenddant?"

her "he hasn't yet.. but th e doctor said he might and medicaid would pay for the attendant"

me " i might fall too and i wear a thing  around my neck " 

that too is another problem  with the medical system in the usa.

MO SEEMS TO BE THE ONE THAT WANTS TO GO DOWN THE DRIVEWAY- PAST THE OFFICIAL GATE...  THAT WOULD BE  NOT A GOOD THING...  SHE IS SLOW MOVING ... BUT SHE IS HUGE AND WOULD TERRIFY  EVERYONE..

I DO GET A BIG KICK OUT OF WATCHING CITY  PEOPLE PAT HER - AND SHE SEEMS TO LOVE THE ATTENTION ..SOOOOOOO TODAY......

I DON'T KNOW WHAT HAPPENED BUT I STILL HAVE THEM-- SO TODAY WE CAN TEACH MO - AND POCKETS  TO ALLOW US TO SWISH FLYS-- AND MAYBE FIX ONT OF THIESE THINGS ON THEIR HALTERS SO IF THEY SHAKE THEIR HEADS IT WOULD CLEAR THE FLYS..  MO'S NOSE SEEMS TO BE PARTICULARLY ATTRACTIVE TO FLYS.

I REMEMBER...... I TRAINED A PIG ONCE NOT TO DESTROY OUR TRASH CAN ONCE--WE HAD A DISCUSSION... PIG STYLE....BY GOING TO THE TRASH CAN  WITH SOME ATTRACITVE SNACK AND THEN TELLING HER NOT TO TOUCH IT.... THE WAY I TOLD HER WAS TO STAND QUIETLY UNTIL SHE POKED HER NOSE IN THE TRASH CAN , THEN VIOLENTLY BANGED AWAY ON THE TRASH CAN WHILE SCREAMIN G  " NO "  AT HER... SHE RAN OFF A FEW FEET, THEN TURNED AND MADE NOISES AT ME... THEN SLOWLY APPROACHED THE TRASH CAN AGAIN AND JUST AS SHE TOUCHED IT I  YELLED AND HIT THE CAN WITH MY WHIFFLE BAT  -- SHE MADE NOISES AND WALKED AWAY AND NEVER TOUCHED IT AGAIN...    HAVING THAT SUCCESS.. A FEW DAYS LAGTER  - ANOTHER PROBLEM WAS GOING DOWN THE DRIVEWAY ( IN LYNNFIELD.. WE HAD NO GATE) ...  SO I WALKED 1/2 WAY DOWN THE DRIVE... SSHE FOLLOWED AS SHE USUALLY DID-  I STOPPED AND DREW A LINE  AS SHE APPROACHED THAT LINE I HIT THE GROUND WITH MY WHIFFLE BAT WHILE SCREAMING  "NO" .. SHE STOPPED.. BACKED UP.AND LOOKED FOR A FEW MINUTES-- THEN WALKED FORWARD AGAIN.. I BANGD THE GROUND AGAIN..  SHE TURNED AND  WENT BACK TO THE BARNYARD-- AFTER WHICH IF YOU SAW HER GOING DOWN THE DRIVEWAY YOU COULD YELL, AND SHE WOULD TURN,

SO I APPLIED THIS VAST KNOWLEDGE TO POCKETS AND GRACE'S PLANTS...  AND GOT TO THE POINT WHERE I CAN SIT IN THE T-TENT AND YELL AT POCKETS AND SHE WILL TURN AWAY FROM THE 4 DIFFERENT POTTED PLANTS... IBNTERESTING POINT IS... SHE KNOWS.. SHE WENT NEAR ONE OF THE PLANTS AND TRIMMED THE GRASS ALL AROUND THE BOTTOM-- I SAID NOTHING-- THEN SHE LIFTED HER HEAD TO GRAB A LEAF FROM THE POT-- AND I YELLED AT HER- SHE STOPPED AND TURNED AWAY... SORT OF THE "I GOT IT" 

I TELL YOU  DONKEYS ARE INTELLIGENT -- THEY  ARE ALSO MORE  CONNIVINGTHAN A DOG... MARY-- OUR OLD MAMOUTH DONKEY WAS JUST PLAIN SNEAKY- AND KNEW THE POWERS OF DISTRACTION BETER THAN ANY POLITICIAN I EVER KNEW...

 SO I DON'T THINK POCKETS  IS PERMANTLY TRAINED-- I WILL NEED TO EXPALIN TO HER THAT I AM SERIOUS TODAY-- AND SEE IF I CAN TEACH HER THAT GOING NEAR THOSE PLANTS IS JUST NOT SAFE.

THE SKUFFLE WAS HE STARTEDD TO PEE  -- THE CLOSEST THING  TO GRAB HAD BEEN MY NEW LLBEAN WINTER  JACKET UNTIL SOMEONE GOT A SCRAP BASKET UNDER THE DELUGE.  THE PERFORMANCE WE NEEDED TO DO  WENT OFF FINE.... BUT

Well I officially have a couple of 7th grades! Passing with honors to boot. Of course I also have a Junior which is a bit scary. But bella and George had a great last day of school. They came home with all his fluffys plus an extra bed. His bigger bed the custodian said that he will keep it in his office and then have it 

in his room next year. I have to say they are pretty amazing at this school! So after school we went and got a quick lunch with our little friend Bea who asked if she could please come pick up Bella and George at school. Then tonight we had a wonderful night. Had dinner as a family and then went to visit some

We are guilty!!! Princess Ruckus & I have been so busy this Spring we have not given updates. The big news is I'm going to be a grandma. My son Anthony & his wife who live in Boston will have a boy in November. Ruckus will be a great protector. We had a great school year with our 

 volunteer gig. when Ruckus first started she would hide under the table & watch the students feet. Now she is so comfortable & loves her ambassador job ( see pics.) Many special education teachers especially at the middle school level are amazed how calm students become when they 

 interact with Ruckus. One young man was so excited when his teacher projected the 3 week old "musicians" live on Explore in the classroom. He came running down the hall with lap top in hand to show us the pups & see Ruckus's first home. Yes, alway a smile 😊My older son graduated 

with his nursing degree (see pics). Ruckus was great during the ceremony, she is so well behaved. I was the one worried when I saw the 2 bomb sniffing shepherds. Ruckus only watched them learning how they do their jobs. Also, I've had several trips to the University of Rochester Strong 

 Research Hospital. I've now entered phase 2 of a drug trail for Ataxia. Ruckus has been fantastic in helping me navigate "everything". She is even in the videos with me walking. The doctors, nurses are great & very respectful of her job. We do end the sessions, which have been several 

 hours with "make a friend" which releases Ruckus to socialize with her new friends until it is back "with me". Again, I've always said that I'm the lucky one for having such a beautiful & well trained Service Dog to help me maintain my independence & function in society. Thank you to

Jana has been on the phone with the Red Sox all day coordinating everything. Janna is going to stop by tomorrow with food and finalize the details on whatever is going on. I will be attending the game with Charlie and my wife Michelle.

Hi Carlene,

Rocco and I have been away from the farm since June 7.  

Rocco and I are starting to work together pretty well. Some situations are still hard for him because of a lot of distractions. I am starting to be able to anticipate those situations and adjust so it is easier for both of us. My independence is greatly improved as well as my activity level. Before Rocco and I met my step count daily was 300-500 steps a day. Very limited and inactive. Since we have been together I’ve ranged from 1000 to 3200 steps per day. Amazing. Now I have to work on my conditioning so I have the energy to keep improving.  Having him with me takes a lot of the anxiety away from when I only had my cane or walker with me. I’ve gone to the grocery store, Home Depot, the Hospital, a nursing home and the Veterinarian just to name a few places. 

Rocco is always aware where I am and he is starting to anticipate when I might need him. This started yesterday. When I stand up he starts to come to me and goes to my left side by himself. He helps me up and down stairs and around the house.

Thanks for all you have done for Carol and me. This is a fantastic journey so far..

my absolutely brilliant/ possibly disasterous.. concept of the day ..( yesterday) is to  ( today)  take apart the tipi  and using 1/2 th e poles to make a frame on which i can  drape some of that shade material  to provide a shaded area for sitting along puppy hill  where we usually have teh "conversation group"   of granite benches-- but tht does not need all the poles... so  maybe use the other poles to set up a donkey watching area-- where yesterrday we  took delivery of a strange graneit bench which i found in the "seconds" area of a granite bench store..... we have 2 poles in addition to the normal temt poles.. plus we will not need the 2 smoke poles 

this will not be easy...

i know for  fact that  properly done - a tipi os a very secure year round residence that a good indian woman can set up in an hour....( and a good indian woman does not have any wrinkles in her tipi cover.)  fact !  .-- these tipi's seem to be the responsibility of the indian woman... there is one other fact i  have read about in the gladys lauben(sp?) book of tipi's.. if an indian woman wants a divorce all she has to do is throw him out of her tipi ..-- no lawyers, no arguing over possessions.. just out...    i think there is also a fact that the indian philosophy is that we only borrow things from the earth in our lifetime...-- which is a very intresting concept..  and fairly true-- problem is we are all over extended on some earth's  credit card system...  we have allowed ourselves ( humans) to  become in subservient   to artificial "needs"

i don't have to go far to see the problem... here on my desk  are plastic curlers left over from the last curlinmg episode...  having straight or curled hair does nothing for my internal being... somebody told me i needed them. and i believed.. in this system,,, i did need them.

i feel the same way about health insurance--  if we got rid of all the health insurance costs, just think of all the money that would be available to use for our health.. like buying baindaids or paying nurses or doctors to actually care for us instead of secretries to have to spen time looking up what insurance code would  make the ins compaly pay a small part of an office visit ....  i look at all those buildings which house teh health insurance companies and think... we would have no health problems if  the cost of those building was invested in research...

continuing to pound th square peg in to the round hole.......i did not have an electricution episode with that elevator  18 months ago... it is not on my record.. because there is no medicare code for what happened... so therefore.. it didn't happen?  meanwhile  don't make a buzing noise around bentley or his ptsd takes over and he runs to land in my lap  regardless of what else is already there.... like yesterday  i had a laap full of drill bits and screws.... they went flying... but i saved him from the frightening buzz of a fly...

 now with regard to the 84 danes in limbo ( actually in new hampshire)...  i had a discussion  with george last night- he thinks teh HSUS has everthing under control without my help because they are getting so many offers, i am just one more nut in the crowd...  which i am... 

i felt better when  someone told me yesterday that the dogs were still in the house... because getting  in there  and cleaning ( servepro style) and keeping them there is the only way i could see to handle  over 8000 pounds of dogs quickly...  george says with total conviction..the dogs are gone from the house.

 i have trouble with that because...even with  SOME pups ... 84 danes avg weight is  100 pounds or more..  84 x 100 = 8400  that is over 4 tons of dogs....  that one truck thy had ibn the video would have to make an awful lot of trips sopmewhere to take the dogs out of the house... 

 one reason i got into danes was the fact that an animal control person in danvers had picked up a dane, and her "dog pound" did not have a cage big enough to put him in. so she stuck him in my horse barn....---  so to decide all 84 are n the local pounds is highly unlikely.

plus the fact that many need vet care.... heck before vet care... all need a good bath....

george also said- probably most do not walk on a leash---- ok... how many people does it take to get one dane to go anywhere it does not want to go???  yesterday one pup into the bath here  took 3 people 20 minutes   - the whole thing just does not compute... 

then i heard " the HSUS "   is building a kennel to house them because they are  in a legal case WHICH WILL TAKE MONHTS...  ... well--- they must not  have to ask permission of teh local building inspector or those dogw will die of old age before they get any new kennel building up;. 

SO  there is a lot that just does not add up... and with all the rumors i have heard, not one deals witht he face that  faced with the immediate care of 84 huge dogs, the problem  might give you 1/2 hour in hot weather to get water to all  ( water buckets????swimming pools???what?)  and 4 hours  lead time before under the best situation, all would need lunch or dinner--raw chicken?? hot weather???

there is stuff here that does not add up...

geroge just called to say that brad is up and feeling well... so i have asked him to go and not take anyone's word for it...i need a visual that they got all those dog sout of there-- and then of course.. where did they go..

maybe i can learn how to transport and care for 65 dogs quickly ??

I wanted to send you this video of the absolutely wonderful Dolly. We are camping and just hanging out, when this little bird decided to come up and greet us. Reminded me of the Dr. Seuss book, Are You My Mother? The baby bird got so so close!

I am so proud of Dolly she did so good just leaving it. I just had to send it to you!

Thanks for all you guys do. I can't imagine going back to the way things were before Dolly. She has given me so much Independence and confidence to try new things.

#4 steve  and jeri are here from ohip  and have tackled teh mess behind teh g-tent...( white giraffe tent...)it is like  a "this is your life... pit" ...  THAT PIT IS SORT OF  MY LIFE IN FENCING... long long ago... when i started having to take things like horses or donkeys into improbable places--  like hotels.... th4 guy who supplied teh new england zoos etc had fencing..iron welded 5 pipes high 10 feet long and went together into a square  or circle with 2 pins.... and weighed a TON---  2 PEOPLE ON ONE SECTION....... UNTIL I FOUND SOME MADE THE SAME WAY WITH ELECTRICAL CONDUIT--- MUCH LIGHTER ONE PERSON TO CARRY-- OH THE CANS OF RED PAINT I WENT THRU KEEPING THOSE HOTEL TYPE ACCEPTABLE...WHAT A WONDERFUL DISCOVERY WAS HOG PANELS ( LATER CALLED HORSE PANELS AND A FEW OTHER THINGS)  THOSE WERE 6"SQUARES OF 1/4 INCH RODS...  ONE PERSON COULD CARRY 2 AT A TIME -A PIECE OF ELECTRICAL TYE WRAP AND IT WAS SIMPLE--- THEN IN JOB\S WHICH INVOLVED ****"THE BED****  WE COULD PUT ALL THE PANNELS ON THE BED AND IT WAS ONE TRIP-- PLUS YOU COULD STRING ALL THESE  PANELS IN ANY SHAPE AS LONG AS IT WAS NOT A STRAIGHT LINE..... 

 EVENTALLY THE DONKEYS GOT USED TO THE IDEA OF STAYING WHEREVER WE SPREAD HAY- AND WE LEFT FENCING HOME ENITRELY....   IT WAS ALL STORED (? STORED???? GIVE ME A BREAK.... TOSSED IS MORE THE WORD) BEHIND TEH G-TENT...

 ON TOP ORF THAT... AS MY INTEREST CHANGED FASTER THAN MY POCKETBOOK-- I ACCEPTED DONATIONS OF USED CHAIN LINK PANNELS MUCH IS STILL  IN USE AROUND HERE--MUCH OF THE TIME ON HILLS WHERE YOU CAN NOT HOOK RECTANGLES TOGETHER IN ANY TIDY FASHION.... PLUS JANIINE CAME HOME WITH A WHOLE HORSE TRAILER FULL OF ROLLED 8' CHAIN LINK ONLY-- WHICH WAS HEAVY, TANGLED AND TOOK FOREVER TO UNTANGLE AND UNLOAD TEH ROLLED STACK OF CHAIN...

 THE REASON WE WERE "SO LUCKY" TO BE GIVEN ALL THIS CHAIN LINK WAS... I AM TOLD..( AT LEAST AS OF 10 YEARS AGO) THAT IT WAS IMPOSSIBLE/ ILLEGAL  TO THROW CHAIN LINK AWAY IN ANY DUMP/TRANSFER STATION---  REASON BEING BECAUSE ALL THE TRANSFER STATIONS AROUND HERE TOOK STUFF TO MASSIVE GRINDING PLACES WHERE THEY TURNED IT INTO BURNABLE TRASH... SOMEWHERE  IN MAINE???  AND YOU CAN NOT GRIND UP CHAIN LINK--- I FINALLY FOUND A USE FOR THOSE ROLLS-- HOLDING DOWN THE ARENA'S   WHITE COVER...

BUT THE REST OF THE PIPES AND PANELS-- WELL--STEVE AND JERI HAVE THEM ALL ORGANIZED NOW... 

PROBLEM IZ... WELL THERE ARE ALOT OF PROBLEMS....IT ONCE WAS VALUABLE TO ME AND I HAVE TROUBLE  FORGETTING THAT NOW IT IS REALLY TRASH...  BECAUSE I CAN ALWAYS THINK OF WHERE I COULD USE IT....  LIKE..... 

 SINCE WE HAVE THE ICE BUILDING NEARLY 100%   I CAN MAYBE FINISH UP THE  "SHED" WHICH WILL BE IN THE FOOTPRINT OF THE "OLD ARENA"   FIRST THING WILL BE TO FENCE  OFF TEH DOGS  IN THE FLAT FIELD SO WE CAN WORK ON THE SHED AREA.. 

I ONCE HAD ALL TEH 4 X 6 X12' LUMBER R AND SHEETS OF PLYWOOD TO FINISH THE SHED... BUT THOSE HAVE WANDERED... AND TEH GRASS HAS GROWN--WHILE I GOT DISTRACTED WITH THE NEIGHBORS AND BUILDING INSPECTOR..

 BIGEST PROBLEM FOR PROGRESS NOW IS MASTERSON AND TEH MANURE PILE MOVING-- WE HAVE BEEN MOVING THE PILE BY DRIVING IN THE AREA OF TEH ARENA RUN OFF-- MAKING BLACK MUD 18 INCHES DEEP-- SO WE NEED TO BULLDOZE A "PATH" AWAY FROM THE WATER-- ALOT OF WATER COMES OFF THAT ARENA  AND RUNS STRAIGNT FOR BEHIND THE G-TENT.

Some fun on bikes! George didn't like that Gabi kept getting really close to Bella. He would push her arm with his head. I guess I have to feel like she will always be safe and no one will injure her with George around! Even family he can get protective. Such a good dog!

 YOU MUST ALLOW GEORGE HIS OPINION !  I HAVE SAID BEFORE  GEORGE IS CAPABLE OF STOPPING ANY FAMILY ROUGHHOUSING..

i think i  caught janine's appendix problem..  i need to get megan on deck for the company job today-- with judy..

on the topic of janine's green jello(dd a couple days ago) ...and how she felt she angered the nurse so she could only have green...

it really was an question of why did did the nurse not take 2 seconds to explain ---"why green" ....  it did not take grace and a few of the other nurses around here 2 seconds  to explain-- in case you throw up they need to identify what came up and   blood being red elimminates the use of red jello in most situationa... if you are lucky you might get yellow jello

well almost     in discussing these 84 dane being "recovered" by HSUS  geroge said in a disparaging way  many will be timid... like that is a death sentance.... because in the real world  of reegular dogs timid=fear=biting..... however... i have said  most danes are timid..  i said"  even goerge-- perfect dog george-- could be called timid..... and that is a big part of the bonding... they are  afraid so we are actually teacing them  to stay with their partner as the only safe place to be...i hope i can help maybe place  one or two timid ones...  they are under 10 days quarentine i was  told.

From Bella's Mom:

Today we had a nice relaxing day as a family. We took some time and went out on the boat. Ed did some fishing, gabi napped, bella and George played in the water and I sat and relaxed and even had time to color! Bella had a blast playing in the water and digging in the sand. There were so many other dogs  there that we have George a working break and let him play! 

He was a little timid (ed:   note that)   

and wasn't sure he really wanted to once he was given permission. We had fun just hanging together. Had a late lunch then came home for some bike riding before it was time to get ready for bed. Only one more week of  

school. Bella and George finish on Friday! So off to bed since I have 2 more early morning wake ups with Gabi then I don't have to get up at 5:30. Thank you for checking in and saying hi. Love Bella and George 👧🏼🐶💕

YESTERDAY OUT TOWN HAD A PETS IN THE CITY DAY. ALL DOGS WERE WELCOME INTO STORES AND ALL RESTAURANT PATIOS. WE DECIDED THIS WOULD BE A GOOD EXPERIENCE FOR TUMBLER. I HAD NO IDEA SHE WOULD BE SUCH A HIT. I KNOW SHE IS EXTRA SPECIAL BUT EVERYONE THOUGHT THE SAME. WE COULDNT WALK FOR BEING STOPPED AND BEING ASKED ABOUT HER. PEOPLE WERE EXTRA INTERESTED IN HER SIZE, LOOKS, AND OF COURSE HER MANNERS. I MENTIONED SDP AT LEAST FIFTY TIMES AND TOLD HER STORY ABOUT TRAINING TO BE A SERVICE DOG. EVERYONE FELL IN LOVE WITH HER. WE SAW A AMERICAN DANE ( BASKETBALL PLAYER) AND HAD PIC MADE TO SEE DIFFERENCE IN HOW THEY WERE BUILT. TOTALLY DIFFERENT BODY. NEEDLESS TO SAY, I AM A EXTRA PROUD MOMMA . I TOTALLY UNDERSTAND...ONCE YOU HAVE A DANE, YOUR ALWAYS HAVE A DANE. LOYALTY BEYOND ! WE LOVE HER SO MUCH! THANK YOU SO SO MUCH .

Hi Carlene,

Lisa (My Partner) and I were able to meet up with Service Dog Ava and her recipient Cindy (and husband Jim) in Newark, Delaware Tuesday June 13th. 

Meeting them was a dream come true, as we live in Nottingham, Maryland and don't know when we would get to SDP, so we drove an hour to meet them in Delaware.

We are so happy that Cindy wanted to meet up with CPs on their East Coast Tour (vacation).

Ava was great in the Shake Shack. She is such a beautiful, well-behaved dog. She does get a lot of attention. Cindy and Jim handle it well.  We were especially glad to meet Ava, as she is part of the Starlettes Litter, which was the FIRST litter Lisa and I saw!

Keep doing what you are doing. Cindy and Jim said Ava has really improved their lives and Cindy's health.

must have at least 2 dozen emails about the 84 danes   rescued...in NH

i am trying to get the  word thru that i am willing to help with training and management in general...

lets face it ... we have the most efficient  poo  management practices - and with 84 danes, that is going to be one of the biggest progblems-- can you imagine 84 danes with loose stool???

 i think at the moment -- a couple people are contacting "the authorities"  in my behalf.... john  golumb who is commissioner of something  in maybe portsmouth was first to call ( he and his wife were my first board of directors---owners of poco's restaureant in portsmouth) -- george myers  (dvm)who said he was well into it..and said ( in a little defeatest tone "they are all scared and  timid") --- right george--- we deal with that daily... even your namesake "george"  .. with bella..--- the perfect dog that he is......was once timid.. he probably still is on ocassion....    . i hate to have anyone put the label of "timid"  on a dane  -- because in the real dog world timid = fear= biter and with a 180 pound dog that can be a problem...  i would like to get involved in the re training... before they decide to euthanize a dog who is just scared.---- olivia apparently has a friend who is involved as tech and is dealing with some of the dogs...

they are under quarentins for a bit... and i did read that they will be up for adoption in 4 months...  that is alot of poo to pick before they let them go.

apparently many are impoirted... which means they will be chipped... with a chipper i am sure the HSUS has both readers..( we do)-- probably the hsus will require that they be spayed and neutered for placement.....  othrwise we might be interested in a female to save having to import one ourselves...  i bet they would not go for that....however....

they don't  train like "normal dogs"   so i would like to at least warn the people who are helping out fostering them... --  i bet they are tied in to tufts.. and dr. dodman  who wrote a book on dog behavior---on the cover of his book you will see all my dogs sitting around him...  ( thumper-- foundation stud-- somehow related tor nearly all the dogs we now have)

the only thing i can think of doing right now as a group is  get a few more poo pickers to me--and if i am asked- i wlll b e prepared to tackle at least that end of things....  at that i am pretty sure my expertise is unquestioned...

that is the biggest excitement of the day... after that... it is sunday.. and if we get a crowd.... i would like to  empty the area behind the  white g-tent and flatten it out and dress it up with a new gate to the path to the forest...

we had a very nice couple here yesterday- i hope they come back... aside from being nice the guy was big and strong looking-- i can use the strong part and the puppies could stand to have the big guy part... i think he had hair on his face too...  that is another puppy training thing we coujld use...

we got the new puppy bus thing  well along yesterday.. turns out the cheap golf umbrellas all have a handle that jams into pvc piping so we now have umbrellas ready to open in diagional corners of teh puppy wagon...

these pups are almost too big now.. but we have more coming????

Hi all.. 

I wanted to put an update out about the 84 Dane Seizure.

For those that don't know I am the president of Great Dane Rescue of New England, 2 years ago we were contacted by neighbors when Tina Fay first bought the home in NH... we were able to get in the home.. we took videos and photos submitted such to all the state agencies and ACO- according to the Dept of Ag sadly the state laws protected her there were no laws in NH that states she couldn't breed or have that many dogs.. when we were there we saw at least 50-60 dogs and puppies.  Her Kennel name is De Le Monde Sang Great Danes and I stay friends on FB to monitor her happenings.

What I know.. I know her vets, One is True North Veterinary Hospital in Bartlett NH , I know where she imports and exports to which I'm sure all sorts of laws are being broken and not being followed up on with health and quarantine requirements. Top Notch Danes in North Carolina seems to be one of the US kennels that breed with her. 

The woman in her kennel that sold these dogs on Craigs list is her kennel manager Jes Stinson-Merrill that conveniently quit a few weeks ago. And her husband Aaron Merrill.

Also Hope Carle, Kady Hoffman, Julia Smith were also kennel help that we know of.

What else I know, the dog Dexter that cost is 10k was one of her dogs that her kennel help dumped, one of 3 dogs we go into rescue the other two sold to families on NH Craigs list for $50 by her kennel help, she has that home the Bartlett home and a recent purchase by her daughter in Maine- with the similar set up as the one in Wolfboro.

Her dogs come from France, Brazil and Spain, Serbia and Croatia. I had gotten into a very heated discussion with her, her daughter and a kennel hand on April

Regarding these dogs- at which time I was told by her she had cancer and was  in the hospital and her daughter and one of the kennel hands took over.. is it true.. not sure.. but still no excuse for this.. 

we have left message for the ACO, police department and Human Society- with offer of help and vital information to help shut this whole operation down as it is much bigger than just Tina.. but we have yet to receive any response from

We know that HSUS is raising funds to care for the dogs and will in turn adopt them

Out themselves. - they will not work with anyone local as they would have called us ahead of time

All we hope the dogs get the care and love they deserve and find homes.. I hope this doesn't turn out to be like the Florida seizure where thousands were raised and no one has any idea what happened to any of the danes or where they are and how many were euthanized.. from my understanding it was quite a few,  not a single update was made to those that donated.

We hope they will listen to us this time and it stays closed for good

But honestly if they listened to us little rescue people and neighbors 2 years ago we wouldn't be here today.

i don't like it when  the  USHS  (US HUMAINE SOCIETY)  does not  allow the  whereabouts of  the dogs to be known...   i am sure many would  have to be euthanized--  but they should not have that be the easy way out.... 

i don't like the wording in that article " as of now we are told they don't need our help and have yet to give us any responses."  the 

 great dane  club of new england  is where i refer requests to...

 between george and john my willingness  to help should at least be acknowledged... if i get no response either...., i am not going to like it.

SARA TELLS ME 6 PUPS IN THE KITCHEN OVERNIGHT IS ALOT EASIER TO DEAL WIHT.... I CAN'T IMMAGINE WHY..-- I HEAR "WAIT WAIT"  AND THERE IS NO SCREAMING... THISIS A GOOD THING... ALSO SHE CAN NAME THE PUPS AS SHE SPOON FEEDS THEM AND LIFE IS SOOOO MUCH EASIER...OF COURSE THIS IS THE 6 WITH THE 3 NON BLACK... THE  OTHE SIX IN THE BARN  (ALL BLACK) DON'T GET CALLED BY NAME YET AT ALL.... THE MUSICIANS  HERE...---JAEGAR ELLA STING BOWIE BLAKE PRINCE

WE--SDP--- SENT 6 DOGS AND PEOPLE TO THE TECH FAIR IN BOSTON TO REPRESENT EBSCO-- AN IPSWICH COMPANY-- BIG COMPANY-- THAT DOES WIERD COMPUTER THINGS-- AND WANTED TO ATTRACT ANY TECH STUDENTS TO THEIR COMPANY-- 4 HARLS 2 BLACKS STOLE THE SHOW-- WALTER EXCELLED AS JUDGE FOR A PING PONG MATCH WATCHING EACH MOVEMENT OF THE BALL WITH GREAT ACCURACY..  CAUSING MEGAN AND I TO  WONDER IF WE HAD GOLDEN RETRIEVERS OR LABS THAT ALL LOOK ALIKE  IF WE WOULD  HAVE DRAWN THE  SAME ATTENTION-- I HAVE DONE THAT KIND OF THING FOR YEARS AS "ANIMAL EPISODES"--  TRADE SHOWS...WITH THAT FOOLISH BED... QUEEN SIZE BED ON THE WAGON ( WHO'S 4 WHEELS TURN SO IT FOLLOWS WHATEVER IS TOWING IT.)  THAT POOR BED IS IN TOUGH SHAPE-- BUT I AM SURE IT COULD BE USED CREATIVELY TO DO DRIVE BYS FOR CORPORATIONS TO BREAK THE  WORKDAY MONOTONY...

ONE OF THE FACTORS THAT HAS MADE SDP THE SUCCESS- HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH ANY SKILL OF MINE... IT IS IS THE ACCIDETNTAL FACT THAT THE DANVERS ANIMAL CONTROL OFFICER YEARS AGO   ?1982? PICKED UP A HARL DANE AND THE TOWN DID NOT HAVE A CAGE BIG ENOUGH FOR HIM... SO SHE STUCK HIM IN ONE OF MY HORSE STALLS-  I HAD SEEN DANES BEFORE-- BUT I HAD NEVER SEEN A SOPTTED ONE...- TEH A/C OFFICER SAID NO ONE WANTED HIM AND I COULD HAVE HIM... OUR FRIEND GOLDIE ( GHOST OF THE LEFTHAND DRAWER) WAS AT WORK.... SO  I KEPT  HIM ---  HE WAS SUCH A CHARACTER- COMIC RELIEF IN PERSON...-- AT THAT TIME I HAD NO NEIGHBORS, THERE WAS NO 'LAUNDRY BUILDING" - AND I ALREADY HAD A PIT BULL, YELLOW LAB, BEAGLE AND THE LEFT OVERS FROM POLLY'S LITTER (FEMALE BASSET HOUND BEING  BRED TO A BLACK LAB= BLACK BASSETS)-  IN THE COURSE OF THE NEXT FEW YEARS  THANKS TO THE SAME ANINAL CONTROL PERSON... I SEEMED TO AQUIRE 2 MORE DANES...  AND BY 1988 I WENT TO NEW YORK TO BUY ONE FROM  WHAT SEEMED TO BE THE LEADING DANE  KENNEL IN THE US "BMW KENNEL"   A BLACK FEMALE "TIFFANY" --   WHO HAD A LITTER OF 8  IN WHAT IS NOW THE OVERFLOW ROOM-- MABELINE,FEISTY,DOTTIE JACK, OK, POKER,ELLIE PEBBLES--  WHICH I KEPT---WE DID "JOBS"--- TRADE SHOWS,TOWN "FESTS" PARADES... WITH THE 8- PUT MY KDS THRU COLLEGE WITH THE BUNCH----AND THAT BED....

TECHNICALLY  OK WAS A MERLE - AND NOT KNOWING ANYTHING ABOUT DANES, THE OWNER OF THE STUD I USED TOLD ME TO GET RID OF HER---   IT WAS TECHNICALLY THE FIRST SERVICE DOG I PRODUCED... SOME GUY  FROM ?NH?  HAD A DAUGHTER IN A WHEELCHAIR WHO WANTED TO GO TO THE PIZZA PLACE WITH HER FRIENDS AND HE WANTED A  BIG DOG TO GO WITH HER.. SO I SOLD HER FOR $600.00- I WONDER IF THERE IS MORE TO THAT STORY NOW??? I NEVER HEARD ANYMORE FROM THEM...

DOTTIE LOOKED LIKE OPAL-- SHORT AND BROAD-- MABLEINE WAS  MORE  SVELT  -- I EVENTUALLY BRED THOSE TWO... AND I WAS OFF AND RUNNING.... WITH THE BED.... OFTEN PULLED BY MY HITCH OF 8 DONKEYS--  THE LAST PARADE I DID OF THAT WAS IN BEVERLY---IT WAS A HUGE EFFORT TO HARNESS ALL THOSE DONKEYS AND  KEEP 3 DOGS ON THE BED... SO I WENT  TO GOLF CART PULLING THE BED.. A LOT EASIER -- JUST ANOTHER LAYER OF GOLD PAINT AND WE WERE READY TO ROLL.

THAT MIGHT BE A FUN THING TO DO SOME DAY THIS SUMMER FOR EBSCO   -- ARRIVE IN THEIR PARKING LOT WITH A BED FULL OF DOGS.  IT WOULD TAKE VERY LITTLE PREP... GOLD PAINT AND A SUPPLY OF DISNEY BLANKETS TO COVER...  EBSCO HAS GREAT LUNCHES....

BUT THE PEOPLE  THEY INTERVIEW SEEM TO LACE THE CONVERSATION WITH  "YA KNOW"   OR "I MEAN"  AND "AAAAAAAAH" s ---  SO I HAVE BEGUN TO NOTICE HOW OFTEN SO MANY PEOPLE DO THAT RIGH HERE AT SDP ( INCLUDING ME) ...  SO MANY THAT WE AS LISTENERS TOTALLY ACCEPT IT. ( I THINK).. EXCEPT THE BRITISH---  MAYBE I HAV E NOT HIT THE RIGHT BRITS.... BUT I HAVE NOT SEEN/ HEARD ANY GENERIC BRITS  SAY "YA KNOW?"  

THEN I GOT TO WONDER WHAT IT IS THAT MAKES FOR THE  BRITISH ACCENT.. THEY USE THIER MOUTHS DIFFERENTLY..

IN THE STATES YOU SAY "I'VE BEEN THERE" AND IT SOUNDS LIKE " I'VE BIN THERE"  WHERE THE BRIT WOULD SAY "I'VE BEEEEEEN THERE" - WE SAY WE SPEAK ENGLISH IN THE USA... THEY  WONDER WHY WE SAY THAT.
