wow--- i slept
moxie has 8 pups--- all doing well i guess-- jack has managed
them overnight---and they all look very peaceful--   here we go again...8 black
pups with  descriptions like
" has 4 white hairs under chin."----  i will never keep it
straight
as witnessed yesterday when i got the names mixed  wisteria
and willow  -- one seems to be responding to med- and probably has lyme-- i know
exactly which dog it is--- but which name goes with that dog--- is another of
those binary problems that give me trouble.
-all is quiet with  chaos pups after the fiasco of  chaos
sitting on one and having it be blue when earlene and i grabbed it and started
resuscitation... which worked...  the whole thing was so upsetting i had to eat
2 klondike bars to recover.
i actually think gladys was the  one to notice.   but earline
and i flew into action  oblivious of the camera- so there were a raft of
comments to answer-- most were amazed at the speed with which we responded...
getting chaos off th e pup was not an easy matter.
blue tongue is  an indication that you better not go make
coffee and then deal.
they wanted reality--- we have reality...
i will be glad when we start solid foods and chaos can come
and go under supervision...  except we are at the start with the moxie
bunch.
pups   have survived for years without someone watching-- this
is true-- but normally you loose some-- and every one we loose could be a
person's ability to have a service dog...
so all of us are a little short on sleep--
i had to notice-----   after 36 hours  awake.....the 2 people
with the most stamina and look perfectly normal with their hair even combed are
earlene and blue gwen  neither of whom have an ounce of fat on them..----- makes
me wonder------
 make that 3 people and
add hilary--- our 98 pound wonder....  there has to be some
relationship--
i figure ----- i am 20 pounds overweight it amounts to
carrying around a 20 pound bag of dog food-- no wonder they can out work me--
and age has nothing to do with  that... it is  the klinedike bars... and the
addiction to  icecream parties.  and things like gravy , butter and even salad
is better with whipped cream on it.
i best away from that topic.-----

manny report
Manny is doing great! He has a soul all his own & it's a
privilege to watch him grow into himself with all his quirky ways. I'm thinking
like most Danes Manny, doesn't like the cold or rain. As far as the rain I'm
lucky he has been kind enough to hold on until he feels the rain won't rip
through him like razor blades instead of finding a corner in the house. As far
as the cold weather. I have purchased him a very nice coat for inclement weather
with fleece underneath as well as his service patches sewn on to it. He LOVES
his coats! My friend Megan that you met on our last visit has made Manny coats
for just hanging around the house out of sweatshirts & fleece. It really
takes the chill out of him & he enjoys the attention of being called extra
handsome & a pretty boy! ...Manny has truly helped me and continues to help
me physically & emotionally more than I ever imagined possible. ..As the
calendars become available would you please have 5 of them for
Manny.

from the explore .org  list
GOOOOOD MORNING---  IN PREPERATION FOR  ANOTHER DAY-- I HAVE EVEN CLEANED
MY GLASSES---- --THANKS TO  BLUE GWEN AND JACK I SLEPT A TOTAL OF10 HOURS (BLUE
GWEN HAS 2 BLUE DANES AS OPPOSED TO DAUGHTER GWEN )   BACK TO EXPLAINING THINGS
TO QUESTONS I SEE ON THIS  LIST.....
WHAT IS THAT SWINGING ROPE?
THE ROPE IS ESSENTIAL-- THERE IS A SHORT "FENCE"  IN REALITY IT IS WIRE
SHELVING FROM HOME DEPOT-- BUT AS PEOPLE STEP OVER IT   SEVERAL HAVE CAUGHT A
TOE AND FALLEN INTO TH EPEN OF PUPPIES...  MOTHER DOGS DO NOT LIKE PEOPLE MOVING
QUICKLY TOWARD THEIR PUPS AND GO INTO ATTACK MODE VERY QUICKLY--- AS CHAOS DID
YESTERDAY WHEN I BEGAN TO MOVE FAST AND  HANDLE HER PUP FASTER THAN SHE WAS
READY FOR ME TO DO...SO TO PREVENT ANYONE FROM FALLING TOWARD THE PUPS... I PUT
IN THAT LOVELY 1" COTTON ROPE- AND THE RULE IS  IF YOU ARE AROUND THAT FENCED AT
ALL YOU MUST HANG ONTO THE ROPE-- OR ENDURE MY WRATH.
THIS IS GOING TO BE A LONG  WHATEEVER IT IS... SINCE WE HAVE HAD THAT ROPE
UP (? 4 YEARS--)- I DO PUT IT IN THE WASHING MACHINE WHEN IT GETS GRUBBY.  HERE
IS THE INTERESTING PART-- AT LEAST I THITTNK SO.*****MY HUSBAND AT AGE 94 BEGAN
TO HAVE STABILITY PROBLEMS-- SO I HUNG A FEW MORE ROPES-- ONE IN FRONT OF HIS
CHAIR AND BESIDE HIS BED..  SCREWED INTO A BEAM WITH A HEAVY HOOK... THESE WORK
BEAUTIFULLY-- MOVING ALONG... WE HAVE ALOT OF PEOPLE WITH CANES AND CRUTCHES WHO
COME IN HERE-- THEY FIND THE ROPES ALLOW THEM TO MOVE MUCH EASIER THAN THE CANES
AND CRUTCHES..  SO WE ADDED A FEW MORE  TOTAL; OF  5 IN THE HOUSE,,, . MAKING
THE PLACE LOOK VERY STRANGE BUT PEOPLE GET USED TO THEM -- AND I FIND WHEN
PEOPLE STAND AROUND AND TALK-- EVEN THE PEOPLE WITHOUT A MOBILITY ISSUE  HANG
ONTO TH ESE ROPES. NOW TO THE VERY WIERD PART-  MY HUSBAND HAD ALTZHEIMERS AND
IT WAS HARD TO KEEP TRACK OF HIM SOMETIMES-- SOOOO BEING AN OLD DRAFT HORSE
OWNER, I HAD A STRING OFLOVELY BRASS  DRAFT HORSE SLEIGH BELLS  -- SO I TOOK THE
STRING APART AND ATTACHED 2 TO THE BOTTOM OF SOME OF THE ROPES-- AND I COULD
TELL WHERE HE WAS BY THE TONES OF THE DIFFERENT BELLS..
IT WORKED--- FOR A LONG TIME--
BY THE WAY --- THOSE BRASS BELLS ARE BEAUTIFUL AND NOT EXPENSIVE AT THE OLD AMISH HARNESS SHOP-- SMUCKERS HARNESS IN PENNA- LAST I KNEW THOSE BELLS WERE FROM $5 TO $25 EACH DEPENDING ON TH E SIZE
