i draw a blank
mostly because frankie is a 3 sequence barker and will not stop--- i should go out there with my whiffle bat and bang his fence

everybody needs so much personal attention and shifting them around to keep enimies apart is limiting the number we have loose..-- to like 6 or 8 at the stew... but a lot of people were paying attention.

there is a concept here...
i think i finally figured out homer's actions--
homer was jim's service dog-
at home he was devoted to ann(jim's wife)-- and would on occasion grumble at jim. a (grumble is nearly a growl--- but more of a comment--)
put him in harness--- and he was jim's dog and would grumble at ann.
running loose homer was comfortable with ann- but put him in harness, and he knew his job and did it willingly... with a "leave me alone and don't confuse me" attitude..
i think many of our dogs do not have enough of the run-- call---cheese---run practice particularly with a man one of the callers. -- homer just didn't know what to do if he was not under some "training" order.
it may be a little of a stretch - a lot of things are a stretch in the beginning.
i think mannie is the same situation---
"i know this person and i know how to stay out of trouble with them" as opposed to "who on earth is this --- and what am i supposed to do?"
i know- out in the real world it is "why does this person stick out their hand like that instead of smelling my butt?"
never occored to me we should teach people manners--- like- "go sniff the hand"
so Sunday when we have a bunch here maybe we can do some of that-- if it rains... someone in each of the teepee's and the t-tent-
and in harness we should do more of "go say hi" when a hand is extended..
make it a learned motion. it sure isn;t a natural one for most of our dogs.

dakota-- the blue female from essex-- i was hopping she was only female dog aggressive-- which is ---- slightly --- normal
but yesterday she attacked fido for absolutely no reason-- so i have asked lynn to find her a new home- there are people who can deal with a dog aggressive dog-
and we could ---- if we had to--- but she is too "labor intensive"- and having here here will reduce the time others can be spent running loose with people..
lynn says she has someone ..
(lynn is nh dane rescue)
