my rant of the day? 

  i could think of so many ways to solve problems  the efficient way..

*** like those guys robbing dallas zoo...... let it be known you would give them. $ 85,000 for a 10 foot allagator-and the problem would be self eliminating.

***wanna blow up baltimore to set up  a " more perfect social setting"   ?  let me donate1400  steel shovels and give you and your friends a ride to the middle of a huge desert and you can start by digging for water... and/or  kill each other with the shovels.

*** the ukraine is a stupid place to have a war.....it is a fertile food growing place-- so why screw that up--- go fight somewhere else.

***lets face it ... there are too many people, and mommy earth is bullshlt.....7.8 degrees bullshhlt----- and we may not have seen her full response yet.

so.....here we now have the marvels of 2023 technology being challanged by the  technology of  the 1700's--- balloons

 

now my panic of the day

what color are the rugs/flooring of cici's family in peabody? what difference does that make????? let me count the ways..

 

it was reported  that cici dripped a few red drips 4-5 days ago and  it stopped... a drip is about 1/4 inch diameter....

the usual heat cycle is ... on the female's agenda...

day  1  one drop  bright red 

day  2 thru 7 one red drip every 18 inches on the floor. neither she nor he is very interested in much of anything.

day  8 -12 the red turns to "a brown ish" color during which she is happy to talk to  a  man type dogand is fertile.... and he knows it. !

day  13 she will kill the sob who even consideers jumping on her rear end- she will change her mind in a specific 20 minutes...

day 14 go cool it for another 6 months.

 

try the math...5 days ago it was feb 2.... now if that was day 1 ---finding no further drips would be very unusual... so i have to assume it was not day 1

but perhaps it was actually day 7 when the red turned brown and is not easily seen in any. household---( even if a male dog could smell it for miles.)

if that was day 7.and that was 4 days ago, we are up to day 11 which is too. close to the finish line for my likeing....

to hell with the color of the carpets which could explain alot of this.....  we need to get the experts -------the male dog's concept -and the  female's opinion immediately ....if not sooner...

 like this morning.  because there is some point where cici will tell us to go fly a kite--- forget all the microscopes and slides-- we do not have time--and  all that is pure nonsense because regaredless of what a microscope says the dogs opinion is the only true opinion that matters. I have seen  too much time wasted on running around with toilet paper ,microscopes and slides.

Just get me the dogs....

how quickly we forget to give thanks for warm air and cold water--seems like eons ago i was concerned about negative temps- and then... virtual summertime happened somewhere between breakfast and lunch....

somewhere today i heard. "the. earth is in control of us--- and to doubt it for a minute is a mistake." ---7.8 earthquake--- with aftershocks in the 6's 

even before i heard about. that... i went out and purchased a box of matchbooks from the grocery store--- they are sooo out of date that they didn't even have many of those....i do worry about keeping things going... like water and fire........i have a long list of worries.... but with also a poor memory, life can be a mixed bag of half truths...or....- should i have said the half falsehoods????.....like the glass of water being half full or half empty-

i often write concepts to consider for the dd on. my yellow day cards.... i have a note "repelling a conclusion is often loudest". i am not sure what that means but i think we were talking about how far can a person detect a fresh pile of doggie do...i know darn well--- voice of great experience of living with hundreds of huge poo producers that standing even 5 feet from a new pile, the scent will not alert your footsteps to avoid the pile. is that not perfect proof?????

so ... in the ipswich news about someone wanting to start a training kennel.. which the town could use.... the loudest negative noise was about the odor-- i challange that person to. a nose test---because unfortunately reading that one person thought the smell would carry 300 feet to their patio another 1600 people will then believe it did do that. i hear that logic all the time... 

we need a profesional test...

warm morning   7 feet from fireplace. 

 i remember/// thinking. heated toilet seat was an extreme luxury

oh how teh mighty have fallen. !!

and this is short because out by the fireplace with the 4 dogs is muuuuch nnicer.

at. least the air quality is good, just don't breathe it... i get soooo worried about the heat in teh "outbuildings..." and the house--- sometimes these heat transfer units have trouble keeping up. .. pray for the gas unit in the barn... we may all end up there...

judy is back from vacation--- and even tho we had no place to go. we ended up entertaining 75 in adult care.. these people are starving for something... anything... so the bar is not too high... my 3 dogs were more than enough. in addition  15 special needs  kids got to pat a dog ( larkey)

our "goal" is 100 patters a week-- so we did that in one day ... in danvers..

identify a need and fill it-- is one of my "things" and is how i got into danes for  balance service dogs.... everything else was a short lab with a long handle...

now i am working on donkeys-- they are terriffic animals-- and can be pure fun.... of which there is a severe paucity ---

there is  so much .. so serious-- kids cant even have a backyard bunny without the complication of commpetition  of backyard bunnies... and when that happens you have one happy kid with a blue ribbon and 19 miserable because they were beaten-- that is why my  4h kids ended up trying to put together a circus every summer instead of a horse show....-- which was just plain fun. which progressed into t trip to the topsfield fair 4h horse show-- to be beaten usually...

----- in my case i had a 2 horse trailer- and more than 2 horses to transport to the fair which was a misery of electrical connections that never fit, and takeing out partitions and stuffing in more than 2 smaller horses... and   IN A HURRY TO MAKE THEIR CLASS . 

so the concept of having maybe a pack burro run sounds like a wonderful idea-- run with the donkeys???  has all sorts of posibilities...

couple things

1. i am now a member of the PBA___ pack burro association 

2. it sounds very similar to The GREAT RACE... which was always my favorite.  watertown to marblehead---  26 miles....was it faster by land or by sea-??  --personally  i  was 30 seconds ahead of a boston tv host--- i rode that high wheeler and he sailed a water bed.

3. sobriety was not a requirement starting at 4am...

some of the bicycle contraptions were astounding... i think it was the first 6 passenger beer keg ----6 people welded to a keg...--( they now sell 10 passenger "bikes"  in hammerschleker)-- i did that bike with the  off center hubs ---that we still have---- for that race and wobbled the 26 miles....

they always disqualified whoever came in first because they must have cheated...

it was my kind of thing.

judy returns today...... i have made a huge mess because i wanted to have her feel  her help was sorely needed.... starting with teh 4" monkey fist that totally disappeared under my bed...-- and the last one to sleep in my bed was wanda....otherwise there is a 4 foot circle around my chair of things i can reach with my 4' stainless steel rod with a hook at the end.

only other change is teh "project room clutter" has graqduated to the front of the wood burning stove-- where i intend to be with all this talk of minus any degrees...i fear our heaters can not keep up with ..minus.... bud has us loaded with wood......outside and in....

she can get us back on the routine  of "100 people a week enjoying  my 3 dogs-"- wait til i tell her i think we could manage to take a mini donkey with us..it would take just a bit of organization...like trailer---it has been a very long time since i had a donk in the car with me--- but i have.... many times,,,i do remember crossing the bridge- and paying the toll with the donkey's head over my right shoulder shocking the toll taker.--i did find pictures of mary in an assisted living place to the absolute delight of teh  people there... and perfectly behaved....... so i have been there .. done that

well i also remember having to push a mini donkey onto a tv set with dave maynard astride him...and then there is the tom bergeroune tv show with the animal mind reader talking about my stud donkey thinking of a green wagon--- and that certainly was not what that stud had on his mind....sideways to the audience even !! i am certain tom remembers that show-- he noticed... i noticed... the audience noticed... just not the mind reader.

so as we approach spring--- crazy acres should be in full swing.... with SDP using up about 98% of the place-- ERN has fixed up and manages 1% while judy has one file cabinet and i have two rooms and a bath for the other 1%

The cameras can't see all the white fencing which ERN managed to get donated and installed....  but you can see their  kitchen and the arena..so the place is looking up... after 20 years of   dogs... and little to no maintanence. how many people do you know with 4 entire kitchens  stored in their garage???? ( thanks to ERN's elizabeth)

i am terrified of the frigid coming.... i am pretty sure these heat exchangers we now have that do such a great job heat and airconditioning. do not work well in the  extreme cold... so i am laying in the wood for fireplace and wood stove.. that is where iwill be... right by the stove.

i have paperwork to do there anyway..

yesterdays hay trip was a failure.... the truck from canada was stuck in nh so i got only 5 bales... and i took all the loose hay from the floor of the truck...  i ain't proud...

shows that we should lay in some regular  hay trips in the next few weeks..  hay is going to be a problem until the next cutting ??june july/  with hopes that is better....

 this research program is lookin g for more subjects-- 

i have belonged to this research program for 3 years.... and they seem totally legitimate. if any of you would think it amusing to participate, i have done everything including go to mass general to be measured and spit----

they of course would like the biggest group from which to  sample  so far, i am british 96%----- 4% italian....i like cilantro----dont do well with bitter things---- i am not likely to be lachtose intolerant--- they keep you informed as to what they are doing....  i find it interesting....it certainly is legit...

the only bad part is that there is a movie about ".ll of us are dead"  so you have to look carefully for the  ALL OF US RESEARCH PROGRAM
