nothing interessting  to set me off on the overnight... except...  what on earth is the matter with  women's vocal cords... if i was on that plane with some guy who had nothing else to do, i can think of 1000 things i would have said very loudly- "-language that would make a sailor blush" is the line from  xxxx broadway musical???? why is the woman's natural reaction tempered by society who demands a woman be "well behaved"
that is well behaved until you get old enough to have some fun with "being old" ---

reese is in heat--( parents  bentley x scarlott. ) thank heavens.....  we have 5 days to figure out who she could be bred to.... and please.... don't you all start in  with suggestions...  there are pros and con's for every male we have...
here's a few --reese is black /white markings -- a "mantle" .. mantle could be bred to any color... but would tentd to make black puppies we can't tell apart...

watson... harlequin pretty--  from denmark.. not related to wlater/scarlet-- juat a year old-- would probably manage to breed-- we have not looked over his hips  and would have to get an prelim xray in the next few days... even tho hips are xrayed after 2 years, we might get some idea...
cole-- black.. jasper x lainie-- has some very big brothers--nicholas maybe the biggest on the property..  jasper is great bloodiline...thumper-canada an dlucy- deagle/belgium... with lainei netherlands
wilbur- also black   is jasper x mischa-- mischa being cousin.. not terrible , but.....if we can  void...
tony- smaller  male- also bentley x scarlott reese's brother -- out...
grommet  walter x merlow  -- that merlow line is bobby ,hungarian very chunky....x   lilly, is thumper
bentley-- her fatehr and possibly out of commission since teh electrical accident......
walter reeses' uncle?
jasper .. maybe done???  thumper x luna  -- luna was bailey's sister by deagle---
so put all that on paper and  then i will figure ot something....

my instincts--#1.. get watson down  for a critical look and then  for hip xrays for george and i to look over.... to do an official ofa exam .. they need to be 2 years old... #2 call and see the state of jasper?  he had some prostate problem and i know neutering was discussed.... otherwise last litter??  #3. jasper's son  wilbur might work -- for black pups... judy has him... #4 cole.. black.. another jasper son..... and big dog  genes? laniie europe? ... a little unknown this would be first litter???
that is where i am...
****
people are telling lynn watson is a beautiful dog...
****
maybe megan can bring him down tomorrow  they live "up there somewere?"  n.h.???
she would have to leave walter home....
*****
we  have a lunch visit thing to do today-- just talking and   taking calendars to a big company in ipswich.....

calendar reports  EXTREMELY POPULAR..( AGAIN)
COMMENTS TO REMEMBER FOR NEXT YEAR
MOST COMMENT CONCEPTS
"EACH PICTURE GIVES ME A 30 DAY SMILE .."
"THAT GUY WITH THE CAMERA KNOWS WHAT HE IS DOING" (THAT WOULD BE WILLIAM HUBER)
 "HUMOR IN ART"
A FEW " NO WONDER IT TOOK YOU A YEAR TO GET IT TO THE PRINTER..."

WELL WE CAN REST UP TIL JAN 2ND AND START AGAIN-- LIKE WE DID LAST YEAR (AND STILL HAD TROUBLE FINISHING BEFORE THANKSGIVING DAY.)
****
MR AND MRS CUMMINGS HAVE SOME WONDERFUL IDEAS... LIKE CONTRIBUTING MONEY TO CHARITIES.... AND ALSO EACH  CUMMINGS EMPLOYEE CAN NOMINATE A CHARITY THAT THEY WILL DONATE $1000 TO- AND WE HAVE HAD AT LEAST 2 OF THOSE THAT I KNOW OF...
****
KARI JUST DELIVERED A STRANGE EGG SAUSAGE CHEESE BIT  WHICH IS EVEN BETTER THAN THE FRIED EGGS SHE HAS BEEN DELIVERING FOR THE PAST 3 DAYS...
****
REMEMBER, AROUND HERE YOU ARE ONLY ALLOWED TO MENTION ONE AILMENT A DAY....--- WELL  ALONG ABOUT THANKSGIVING I FOUND OUT THAT  NOT BEING ABLE TO STAND FOR 23 SECONDS MEANS I COULD NO LONGER  MAKE GRAVY-- NOR COULD I MAKE THE SWEETROLLS I USED TO MAKE ON T'DAY..  NOT THAT GRAVY MAKING WAS EVER A SPECIALITY OF THE HOUES... SPECIALLY SINCE I THREW  OUT THE HOUSE "STOVE..
IT DOES MAKE ME  START TO UNDERSTAND THE FRUSTRATIONS OF PEOPLE WHO STRUGGLE TO BE ABLE INSTEAD OF DISABLED...  THE WOMAN WHO BURST INTO TEARS BECAUSE THE DOG  MEANT SHE COULD GET UP THE ONE STEP OF CURB INTO THE SUPERMARKET... SO NEXT TIME YOU STEP UP A CURB,  THINK OF ALL THOSE WHO CAN'T ( AND THEN GO BUY A CHICKEN BRICK SO WE CAN HELP MORE WITH THE MONUMENTAL  CHORE  OF CURB CLIMBING.)
****
LET ME MAKE THIS QUITE CLEAR.... I HAVE NO DESIRE TO GO BACK TO GRAVY STIRRING-  AND THOSE SWEET ROLLS WITH THE KARO, BUTTER AND BROWN SUGAR  ARE DETRIMENTAL TO MY LOSS OF WEIGHT.
WHAT IS HAPPENING... WITH MY BLESSING... IS THAT  CAMERA PEOPLE ARE SIGNING UP TO MAKE/PROVICED NORMAL SORT OF  COOKED MEAL THAT IS NOT CHINESE OR PIZZA.... THERE ARE SEVERAL VOLUNTEERS WHO ARRIVE WITH A BAG FULL OF  THE MAKING  OF A MEAL...  THIS IS A GOOD THING... MADE SPECTACULAR BY THE  ACTUA L CHEF WHO SPENT THE DAY  VOLUNTEERING AROUND, WHILE HE SUPERVISED THE COOKING OF A PORK BUTT ROAST THAT WAS THE BEST WE EVER HAD !!- THIS CONCEPT IS A GOOD THING.... IT IS A KNOW FACT THAT ITALIAN WOMEN LOVE TO FEED PEOPLE TOO MUCH...  WE HAVE A FEW... COULD USE ABOUT 3 MORE ITALIAN WOMEN....-- JUST THINK...  WHEN I MEET PEOPLE AT COSTCO.. WHO SAY "I WOULD LOVE TO  VOLUNTEER BUT ?WHAT COULD I DO?"  LET ME TELL YOU ...---- COOK---....  ON AN AVERAGE NIGHT WE MUST FEED 6 TO 8 PEOPLE... AND SINCE I AM NOW UNABLE TO MAKE GRAVY,, IF I CAN NOT ADD MUSHROOM SOUP FOR THE  GOOP THAT  HOLDS IT ALL TOGETEHER, I AM OUT OF IT... DARN SHAME....
*****
ANNE IS COMING TODAY TO DIDDLE WITH SOME GRANT APPLICATIONS-- SOMEHOW WE (THAT IS AN CORPORATE WE) HAVE TO FIGURE OUT HOW TO MAKE SLIGHTLY OVER A 1/2 MILLION A YEAR--  WE CAN NOT  "TAKE A PERSONAL DAY OFF"  FROM THAT CHORE.... WE NEED THAT TO EVEN MEET THE PAYROLL OF STAFF WHO ARE CERTAINLY NOT OVERPAID... THOS E CHICKEN BRICKS ARE A HUGE PART OF THAT...  AND THE CAMERAS ARE A HUGE PART OF THE CHICKEN BRICK FUND RAISING... WHEN WE STARTED-- I DEVISED PAPER "TICKETS" AND ON  GOOD MONTH WE SOLD $1400.  THEN JANINE CAME UP WITH THE ONLINE GUY AND MEMSAIC PROGRAM-- I THOUGHT SHE WAS NUTS... BUT HERE WE AE...
--- I ALSO TOLD MY COLLEGE ROOMATE SHE WAS NUTS TO  TELL ME WE WOULD NOT  BE USING DOLLAR BILLS BUT SQUARES OF PLAASTIC INSTEAD..  PROVING ONCE AGAIN  MY THOUGHT PROCESS IS VERY SLOW..
***
PAM HAS SLOWED THE PATTER OF LITTLE MOUSE FEET IN THE OVERFLOW ROOM... MY RITZ  CRACKER  BAIT REMAINED UNTOUCHED LAST NIGHT... AND WHEN LOOKING FOR ONE OF THOSE YASSO  YOGURT POPS, I DID NOTICE A PAUCITY OF AFTERDINNER  POPCYCLES... AND PLETHORA OF LITTLE PLASTIC  BAGS OF THE OWL'S FAST FOOD DINNERS READY TO BE DELIVERED BY OUR  FROZEN RODENT DELIVERY COMPANY....
******
WATSON ( STUD PUP FROM DENMARK) HAS A DR APT THIS MORNING.. APPARENTLY HE HAS A SWOLLEN LUMP ON HIS JAW LYN WANTS TO HAVE LLOOKED AT..-- IF I GOT A CHANCE TO PICK A DIAGNOSIS OUT OF THE WIND.... I WHOLD HOPE IT IS SOMETHING TO DO WITH ADULT TEETH  COMING IN... HE IS ? NOT QUITE A YEAR???

OTHER THAN THAT.......

DEC 5 2017

one of my hugest problems is expecting things to work... yesterday it started with the post office...-- again i had 7 boxes of claendars-- having been that road on saturday WITH 5, i knew they were about 1/2 hour per box... for this zip code /street address process.  so i went prepared..  2 dogs.. 2 wonderful saddle blankets someone sent las week for thier beds... my transfer chair to use l to transport boxes.. then a chair for me...  and they gave me my own attendent.. while 2 other Attendants  waited on the ever growing line...

then....... they invited me to move to the back room where they had another scale thing... so i gathered up my belongings ,2 dogs and went "out back"---- well that printer quit immediately... so i gathered up my belongings a, 2 dogs and transfer chair and went back to th efront... and we were only on the 2nd box.... we got thru the 2nd box and the supervisor said they got the other machine working.. so i gathered up my belongings, 2 dogs and chair and went out back... where they got thru the rest of teh 7 cartons-- by now we are all old friends...-- i gave them sdp credit card and anticipated the 8 foot long printout when  i heard someone say " rejected input.... and it started...-- the superintendednt said he coudl "run to another post office and get another black box thing....whatever....it would only take a few minutes..like 15..  he was still holdng our card because the bill was over$400 and if i took off without this machine processing it, he would be liable for the $400... so he had the e card... he got back and they rebooted and still got rejected input-- and it wouoldnt spit out the 8'long tape and record the purchase. so they called..... tech support... 8 minutes... not bad...-- with difficulty they got it "going"  swipped the card and all i had to do to complete the transactio is scribble my name on the lttle box...-- welllll... the cord attched to the black box which usually kept the special isgning stylus attached... was empty--the various 4 people now standing around looked all over .... emptied thier pockets and we tried over a dozen pen like things  and they did not let me scribble the CW mark that meant i could go home.--  they couldnt take them off the front desk because they were eoectronically attached to the  desks out there and cord cutting was not allowed...-- so i gathered up my belondgings . 2 ddogs and chair and went out to th e lobby to await the missing stylus...
it was nt long before the  woman who had been dealing with me for hours,  came and gave me on  8' long tape and said " go home... if they ever get it working i will sign it."

i had no problem with all that... i was prepared, the 2 dogs.. bentey and sizzle slept thur the whole thing...    but.....  places of business shouljd never leave me  in view of their inner workings with nothing to do... because i amuse myself with watching.....   the place was clean... no dust on the floor ot bits of paper or anythng else... however... you know all those little polished brass  slots you poke letters thru-- well ALL of them  direct  everything into a miserably worn out laundry basket- i could not begn to estimate the age of the  thing.  1929 maybe??? then the passport window--being christmas the super had pulled in extra help  and teh extra guy did not have the uspo  uniform-- he had the random  look of a teenage great dane... all  he knew was that one form and what was needed for the passport-- namely a picture- which one group did not have...  but he was game  to help....so he hung a piece of wrapping paper in ht lobby and got down on his knees to photograph a couple and their 2 kids with --his own? -camera-- that poor superviserr-- nice guy... working hard... smiling at impossible questions-- also had to deal with a truck that would not start-- and it had to get somewhere to keep the chain of delivery on schedule...  i told him i had a jumper battery in my car... but he called a truck fixer.. and they got it going...
the other thing that amazed me was the connection to fedex.... i never understood- but it looked possible that when you send something overnight.. or whatever... they just give it to fedex...  i coudl see no reasson to have a bin for fedex behind the sceenes in the p.o....
***
a tiring day-- so i hopped in the  shower and soaped up... only to have the water pressure go to a  .03 drip...-- so my day ended with trying to get the soap off me with bottled water out of the overflow room... which is unheated....
***
we are going to miss kari whenshe goes back to tenn.... she i s addicted to the fried egg sandwiches  from our diner... and she brings tem back to us..!!

i think i have today off... so far at least...

IT WAS A GOOD START TO THE WEEK FOR THESE 2. BELLA IS COUNTING DOWN HER DAYS LEFT AT SCHOOL BEFORE HER SURGERY. ONLY 9 MORE SCHOOL DAYS. 2 WEEKS FROM TODAY SHE WILL HAVE A HALO ON AND BE STARTING HER 3 WEEKS OF TRACTION. I THINK SHE IS LOOKING FORWARD TO GOING IN. SHE SAYS HER BACK, SHOULDER AND NEXT HURT HER A LOT AND HER KNEE. SO I THINK SHE IS HOPING THAT ONCE SHE IS IN AND HEALED EVERYTHING WILL START TO FEEL BETTER. SHE KNOWS THE PROCESS THAT IT WILL BE UNCOMFORTABLE FOR A WHILE BUT THEN SHE WILL FEEL BETTER ONCE SHE’S HEALED. WE DID HEAR POSSIBLE 1-3 INCHES OF SNOW THIS WEEKEND. THAT WILL JUST MAKE BELLA’S LAST 2 WEEKS PERFECT IF SHE GETS SOME SNOW. EVEN THOUGH I WOULD RATHER NOT HAVE SNOW! BUT OTHERWISE WE ARE TAKING IT ONE DAY AT A TIME. THANK YOU FOR CHECKING IN. MUCH LOVE BELLA AND GEORGE

DEC 4 2017

YESTERDAY'S SHATTING WENT BEAUTIFULLY   THERE IS SOOOOO MUCH THAT NEEDS DOING, BUT EVERYONE WAS DOING SOMETHING AND IT WENT VERY WELL.. CAUSING ME TO WONDER WHY I NEED TO TRY AND MICROMANAGE THE STUFF THAT IS NOT MICROMANAGEABLE..  LIKE  THE SIGN AT THE GATE SAYS.."THIS IS A FARM, USE COMMON SENSE..." WHEN I KNOW FULL WELL SENSE IS NOT COMMON.
WE HAVE A FANTASTIC GROUP-- MY EXAMPLE IS ... HOW MANY VOLUNTEERS HERE WOULD NOTICE A BOLT  ON THE DRIVEWAY AND STOP TO  PICK IT UP--- AND THEN HAVE TH E COMMON SENSE TO WONDER WHERE IT CAME FROM AND TELL ME ABOUT IT---( AN D I WOULD TELL BUD)...
5 YEARS AGO  WE DID NOT HAVE MANY WHO COULD DO THAT... NOW I BET 50% OF OUR VOLUNTEERS HAVE THAT CAPABILITY... WHICH IS AN OUTSTANDING...
IMPROVEMENT....THE DETAILS OF SHATTING DAY I NO LONGER WORRY ABOUT... ***DID SOMEONE BOIL 2 EGGS IN PURPLE  DYE  FOR 1 MIN 30 SECONDS SO WHEN IT BREAKS THE YOLK WILL RUN TO THE WINNER????---
*** OR DID ANYONE MOVE THE PARKING BARRIER SO TANNER CAN MOVE THE MANURE PILE FROM THE SHOP TO THE PARKING "PIT" --
**** AND ARE THERE ENOUGH FRYING PANS AROUND SO PEOPLE WILL NOT FEEED MO AND THE DONKEYS BY HAND.... SO THEY DON'T LEARN TO REACH FOR TINY FINGERS THAT LOOK LIKE SMALL CARROTS TO BE BITTEN OFF...
THE LIST IS UNENDING-- WHICH DID NOT STOP ME FROM TRYNG TO LIST THE JOB DESCRIPTIONS  NEEDED BY ASSISTANCE DOGS INTERNATIONAL.ORG  TO MAINTAIN OUR ACCREDITATION.??  LIKE WRITING THE DESCRIPTION OF  HOW TO TIE YOUR SHOES..
SO IN THE PROCESS HERE IS WHAT I STARTED WITH...KEEPING IN MIND THE BASICS.ARE
SAFE---WATER--- HEAT-- HEALTHY-- FOOD--EXERCISE-- CLEAN IN  6 DIFFERENT BUILDINGS... WITH 14 PAID EMPLOYEES AND 105 VOUNTEERS-- WHILE 70 OR SO VISITORS WANDER AROUND   EATING FOOD, ASKING   QUESTIONS... AND SOME WANTING  SERVICE DOGS.....
AND IT ALL WENT SMOOTHLY.-- ANOTHER $20,000 IN CHICKEN BRICKS    TO HELP WITH THE PAYROLL THAT MAKE IT ALL HAPPEN...
FORTUNATELY  KARI IS HERE FROM TENNASSEE FOR 3 DAYS -- SHE IS A CAMERA PERSON WHO'S BEEN AROND FOR A WHILE-- LOTS OF SENSEE AND ENERGY... FURTHERMORE SHE LOVES TO HAVE BREAKFAST AT THE LOCAL DINER- SO SHE BRINGS BACK FRIED EGG SAMDWICHES FOR THE REST OF US  SO WE DON'T HAVE TO EAT OLD CHINESE FOOD FOR BREAKFAST.
HERE IS A LIST OF WHAT I AM TRYING TO ORGANIZE--.. KEEP IN MIND... IT CHANGES DAILY !!! THANKS TO PAM'S EFFORTS OF ASSIGNING  TASKS I DOES WORK SOMEHOW........ WHILE I NEED TO BE  ABLE TO ASK "WHO IS THE ONE PERSON  IN CHARGE OF FEEDING TODAY?"

THAT IS A PARTIAL LIST TO SOMEHOW FIT IN A CALENDAR WITHOUT HAVING TO TYPE IT ALL EVERY DAY??

Good morning hope all is well. I just wanted to say this year has been absolutely amazing I am so grateful for what you and your staff have done for me by giving me Pixie to help me with my abilities to do all the things I lost out on. We have grown so much and with Pixie I have confidence, and conquered so many milestones. My heart is filled with so much gratitude for your kind act to help so many people just like me.
Thank you so very much I shed tears each day with how thankful I am.
I just wanted to send you a quick little thank you.

CALENdar report.... i spent  3 hours yesterday sitting in the post office while they typed in $1483.50 worth of postage--- i was delighted to hear ---they would (probably)  all be delivered monday east of the mississippi and tuesday beyond- but when i got home  there were 2 cartons left in the overflow room that did not fit in my car ( with also 2 dogs and a "transfer chair" ( a wheelchair sort of thing without the handwheel pushers).. linda was shocked to think i went  alone but i assured her chivalary was not totally dead, and by the time i caused enough attention as  the old lady with  wheelchair , 2 huge dogs, and about 7  heavy cartons,  somebody would help me... and it worked.... the supervisor of this  big central post office gave me one of the 3 "windows" all to myself, and i just sat in the transfer chair-- i set out a calendar for the other people in line to look at- and i managed to give way 48 pokerchips-- and met 3 people who knew of us--- one knew haley...

by the time i finally got home.. there was another 2 cartonsfull of calendars to go...  statistics??? one carton takes 30 minutes to 'process'. ------   it works like "siri " in teh gps  deal ---where  they put in the zip-- then start in with the street address and before they get too far the computer list 4 or 5 possible which they ehen just tap... and the bar code is porinted... with the $4.53  postage label for one.......  the reciept then has a tracking code and all the info on it... but don't anyone dare ask for that--- the reciept is 16 feet long-- with small print- it will have to be an emergency to  look thru all that ... which we coudl do.... but.... i  still have the 2 voerflow boxes plus another 2 which happened while i was not even here so that is another 2 hours on monday... sitting around giving poker chips to anyone who will talk to me while in line waiting for the other 2  clerks ...
it is not  terribley painfull...  i had a good time...i love talking to people wh o for one reason or another are forced to do nothing except maybe have fun thinking... like standing in some line or another.....

it is such a beautiful calendar.... another job well done-- mostly william and kitty... if any of you know of a photographic job that needs the artistic touch you can certainly give them william huber's name-- he does travel -- i think world wide... he is good. --- i wish purina  would hire  him to  do a dog calendar for them.... we  certainly would contruite  any of our danes ---  we could do that--- i spent 30 years as animal episodes doing just that with all kinds of  animals...
we could even use animals other than danes... if we really had to.... and we should start in january... like we did last year... HA !!    --  i wonder how we could do that- like submit a bunch of conceptual proofs for them to pick from ... hmmmmmmm.

Dear Carlene,
I've always been into theater, and one of my favorite things to do since moving to Rhode Island is to go see a show at the Providence Performing Arts Center. It's one of my favorite venues because it's beautiful and not overwhelmingly big, but since being matched with Asher, I've been worried that the large, pushy crowds at the start and end of the show, the loud noise, and the lack of leg room would keep us from being able to enjoy going to see a musical.
I had talked to several other recipients to find out if they had taken their dogs to see a show and how it went (and to ask, was I crazy for expecting Asher to not mind the crowds, the noise, and the scary applause after every song?), and got several great tips. I called the box office ahead to ask about where I should sit since Asher takes up quite a bit of space, and they gave him his own seat (which they removed as they would for a patron in a wheelchair so he could sprawl out) and I would have the seat next to him.
We saw the matinee showing of Finding Neverland this afternoon and we were definitely given white glove service - they let us into the lobby before the rest of the public and set us up away from the crowds until the theater doors opened. An usher led the way to our spot and we had one house manager and one usher making sure we had everything we needed before the show started. The manager explained that the show had two instances with loud noise - a cannon would be fired a few times near the end of the first act and again at the end of the second, people would be "flying" above the audience, and there was a large dog cast in the show. Well, I sure picked a great first show to get Asher acquainted to the theater, didn't I? She told us that there was a service dog there last night that got startled by the cannon and wouldn't settle down after, that it kept panting and pacing around. I couldn't tell her we'd be fine since I've never put Asher in this kind of situation before, but I told her he'd always been so good with noise and other unfamiliar things so I had no reason to think he'd have a problem.
As soon as the show started, Asher got comfy and fell asleep like he would anywhere else. The frequent applause woke him just enough that he'd open his eyes, look at me, stretch, and go back to sleep, but he stopped reacting at all after a few songs. I kept an eye on him close to intermission and finally, we heard the first shot of the cannon and it seemed like the whole theater shook. It fired a few times, but Asher stayed right where he was and looked through the gap in the seats to see what was going on. He didn't seem worried at all, just interested. I got him up for a little stretch during intermission, and then he was content to finish his nap during act two.

The ushers were so amazed at Asher's indifference to everything going on, but I expected nothing less from my superstar! He started to get up when I did during the curtain call, but stayed down when I pointed to his blanket and told him to stay. We took our time heading out, and never had a single issue during the whole experience. I'm so grateful to the knowledgeable trainers at SDP who make sure these dogs are ready for just about anything. We're frequently complimented on Asher's perfect behavior, and today was no exception. I'm so glad that Asher and I can continue to enjoy going to the occasional show together!

THE CALENDARS ARE LOADED IN ENVELOPES AND IN MY CAR.... TO DRIVE AROUND TODAY AND FIND FRIENDLY POST OFFICES T WHICH I CAN DROP ONE VOLUNTEER AND ONE BOX..  ACTUALLY TOPSFIELD IS VERY ACCOMODATING.. MY CAR IS SO FULL I DON'T THINK I CAN GET ANOTHER PERSON AND DOG IN THERE...  BUT WE WILL TRY...

JANINE SWAPPED DONKEYS AROUND YESTERDAY AMID OVER 90 COMMENTS ON FACEBOOK... LUCKILY I DON'T READ FACEBOOK...  BUT APPARENTLY EVERYONE WAS UPSET ONE WAY OR ANOTHER... IN THE PROCESS SHE BOUGHT A NEW 'FENCE/BARRIER FOR THE MIDDLE OF THE STALL...I AM ASHAMED I NEVER THOUGH OF THAT---I AM SO USED TO MAKING DO WITH WHAT WE CAN PUT TOGETHER AROND HERE THAT  I DIDN'T THINK........ LUCKILY SHE DID.... I KNEW ABOUT THOSE FENCES/GATES  TOO...  TRACTOR SUPPLY HAS A BUNCH.... AND I SEE THEM EVERY TIME I GO THERE...  WHICH IS OFTEN..... AND IS  ANOTHER TOPIC... I AM CHANGING FEED STORES  TO AVOID  AN UNPLEASENT  EMPLOYEE...
***
THE OLD FEED STORE IS   "THE CO-OP"  BEEN THERE FOR 100 YEARS (PROBABLY LITERALLY...) AND IT HAS BEEN WHERE I HAVE BOUGHT GRAIN AND HAY FOR YEARS...  HOWEVER.....  I WAS JUST TOLD YESTERDAY THAT 2 OF OUR TRAINERS WILL NO LONGER GO IN THE  CO-OP  BECAUSE OF ONE WOMAN WHO JUST DOES NOT APPROVE OF ME/US--WE SHOULD NOT BE BREEDING DOGS UNLESS WE HAVE A CHAMPIONSHIP TITLE ON THEM...  TO DO THAT  IS ABOTU $60,000 IF DRIVING AROUND TO DOG SHOWS CHASING  THE JUDGE THAT  LIKES YOUR KIND OF DOG-- AND WORRYING ABOUT WHICH SPOT IS WHERE ON THE HARLS....  JUST NOT MY BAG....  I JUST PREFER TO  BE CONVINCED MY DOGS ARE BETTER THAN ANYONE ELSE'S -- AN D LET IT GO AT THAT.  SAVES ALOT OF GRIEF AND AGGRAVATION.... I AM TIRED OF LISTENING TO HOW BAD I AM... SO I WILL GO TO TRACTOR SUPPLY
WHERE BECAUSE THEY ARE NEW HAVE A BUNCH OF NEW PROBLEMS......... LIKE

FYI..... THERE IS TAX FREE AND THEN THERE IS FREE OF TAXES
IF I BUY SOME CRACKED CORN FOR THE CHICKENS, IT  IS TAX FREE  BECAUSE IT IS A FOOD PRODUCING ITEM... IF I BUY THE SAME CRACKED CORN PACKAGED FOR HORSES- THERE IS A TAX ON IT. -- AND THE TRACTOR WSUPPLY STORE, BEING NEW ONLY KNEW OF THE FOOD PRODUCING TYPE-- AND THEY HAVE A HUGE PRINTOUT OF  NON TAXABLE ITEMS..  AND THEN I CAME IN WITH MY ST-2 FORM-- BECAUSE WE ARE A CHARITY WE DO NOT PAY TAXES ON ANYTHING RELATE TO OUR CHARITY. ( AND I TRY AND BE PRETTY EXACT ON THAT)
TRACTOR SUPPLY - HAD NO IDEA OF WHAT I WAS TALKING ABOUT AND THE CASHIER KEPT SHOWING ME THIS HUGE LIST OF WHY I HAD TO PAY $.83 TAX ON  A SOCKET WRENCH I NEEDED TO DEAL WITH THE CHAIN LINK PANNELS..  I WAS IN NO HURRY... SO I RODE IT OUT  FOR NEARLY 45 MINUTES OF STORE MANAGERS AND CALLS TO CHICAGO...  WITH ME SAYING .. I DON'T PAY TAXES ON SUPPLIES FOR SDP.. AND THE MANAGER SAYING  "YOU CANT EAT THE PLIERS"   IT WAS A VERY STRANGE 45 MINUTES...
I FINALLY GAVE UP AND LEFT SAYING "PLEASE ;LOOK INTO IT"  AND 2 HOUR LATER TEH MGR CALLED BACK AND SAID "OOOHHHHH"

***'
WE DID FIND A GREAT HOME FOR THE 2 GIRLS--- SOMEONE WITH 3 ACRES   5 KIDS AND FENCED ---- WHAT MORE COULD THEY WANT...LATEST REPORT WAS THAT THE DOGS TRAVELED VERY WELL AND WERE DOING "SUPER"     THEY ARE NICE DOGS...  SEALY IS A BIT TIMID, BUT WILL WORK OUT OF IT  I AM PRETTY SURE... THEY WILL  STAY TOGETHER.

I HAVEV NONT HAD TIME TO READ THE ENTIRE.. AND  I HOPE THIS BAND OF  DAILY DOGGERS WILL  LOOK INTO THE CONGRESSIONAL BIT OF HOW TO REPORT  "IMPROPER BEHAVIOR IN CONGRESS.."  A ?CANADIAN READER GAVE ME THIS...

GOOD MORNING, CARLENE,

NOT SURE IF ANY OF THE "LAWYER TYPES" FOLLOWED UP ON YOUR DD QUERY ABOUT WHO IN THEIR RIGHT MIND IN CONGRESS VOTED FOR THE ORIGINAL RIDICULOUS ANTI-HARASSMENT POLICY.

WHILE NOT AN AMERICAN, I DID LOCATE THAT SENATOR CHUCK GRASSLEY SPONSORED THE ORIGINAL 1995 CONGRESSIONAL ACCOUNTABILITY LEGISLATION THAT CREATED THE "OFFICE OF COMPLIANCE" AND THE ORIGINAL CONVOLUTED PROCESS AND DEADLINES INVOLVED IN MAKING HARASSMENT COMPLAINTS IMBEDDED IN IT.

THE FIRST LINK GIVES A LIST OF INITIAL SENATE VOTES, WHICH LOOKS TO BE PRETTY EVENLY DISTRIBUTED BETWEEN DEMOCRATS AND CONSERVATIVES. BUT THE FINAL VOTE IN SENATE, WITH CHANGES, WAS BY UNANIMOUS CONSENT, SO NO RECORD OF VOTES WAS MADE. THE 2ND LINK GIVES GENERAL INFO ON THE OFFICE OF COMPLIANCE.

PERHAPS IT WAS PASSED ORIGINALLY WITH FULL SUPPORT BECAUSE EVEN HAVING AN OFFICE OF COMPLIANCE, NO MATTER HOW ARDUOUS AND DISCOURAGING THE COMPLAINTS PROCESS WAS, WAS DEEMED A STEP IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION? OR PERHAPS, AGAIN, IT WAS LIKE PUTTING LIPSTICK ON A PIG, TO COIN A RATHER APT EXPRESSION. 😊

 A SMALL SAMPLE

  • (a) FORMAL COMPLAINT AND REQUEST FOR HEARING- Not later than 30 days after receipt by the congressional employee of notice from the Office of the end of the mediation period under section 9, the congressional employee may file a formal complaint with the Office against the head of the employing office involved. No complaint may be filed unless the employee has made a timely request for counseling and has completed the( 30 DAY)  procedures set forth in sections 8 and 9.

HAVE AT IT !!!!

this aol is acting up again...
so to go with  25 words or less about today's concept.......

with all these people involved in the sexual harassment scandals...   i would like to identify the real criminals in  congress who voted in that  "way to report a problem" .. the  flow chart was briefly on  tv and not seen it since...  it was flow charted so carefully that  no intern could possibly go thru it- so any congressman who voted that into being is guilty of  the worst "obstruction of justice..."  i can't possibly remember it all  but it went somethign like this  ..  report the problem to   xxxx  then wait 3 months and they will  give you a report... which you then take to the committee and they will  do somethg 4 months later... which then goes to   the justice department for 6 months and  they will give an opinion in 2 years.  whatever... you get the point....

i would love to have some of you  retired lawyers find that  document and then find out who signed it   - so we can give it the publicity it deserves....

rushing.... 3000 calendars are due to arrive today--- and the only place i can think of that is clean and dry.... is the  "greenhouse"   as clean and accessable by tractor..  linda said she needs 6 cartons here to start... - the rest need to be easily trasportable by bucket of the tractor--  and then there is  the  transportable  to the  post office ( where they hate to see us coming.)...  that will be in my car.... probably-- so on camera  you should expect to see the arrival  big truck.... -- and bunch up to be filled in the house.. on camera.... which  once filled, will go by tractor to my car ( by the greenhouse) and next bunch of boxes to th e house---
we got alot of them this year..

the other thing we have is all the photo's from previous years in "photo mats"   which we can talk about later... but they are here..$10+$3 will probably ship most-- the  other thing i am going to do next year is to do one of those composite circles of all the pictures in a chicken brick board...   but that is next year....  got to get these calendars sold first...

SEAGRAM & I HAVE BEEN BUSY THIS FALL. FOLLOWING MY SHOULDER SURGERY IN SEPTEMBER, WE TRAVELED FROM LONG ISLAND TO NYC ALMOST EVERY TWO WEEKS FOR PT. SHE MANAGED REMARKABLY WELL IN THE CITY, TOLERATING THE BUSTLE BETTER THAN I DID. SO MANY PEOPLE COMMENTED ON SEAGRAM’S GOOD LOOKS AND GOOD BEHAVIOR, INCLUDING STRANGERS ON THE STREET, THOSE AT PLACES WE VISITED SUCH AT THE MET (ART MUSEUM), AND HOSPITAL STAFF. ONE ENCOUNTER WAS ESPECIALLY MEMORABLE: AFTER CHATTING WITH A WOMAN AT PT, SHE SAID WE “MADE HER DAY” AND GAVE ME A BIG HUG - NOT TYPICAL NEW YORKER BEHAVIOR, BUT SEEING SEAGRAM SEEMS TO BRING OUT THE BEST IN PEOPLE.

THIS THANKSGIVING TRIP  WAS EXTRA SPECIAL BECAUSE TRAVELING HAS BEEN SO CHALLENGING FOR YEARS. IN FACT, I VISITED MY FAMILY IN 2010 AND HAD BEEN ABLE TO RETURN ON ONLY ONE OTHER OCCASION. I WAS ESPECIALLY HAPPY TO SEE MY GRANDMAS AGAIN!! WE VISITED ONE GRANDMA IN HER NURSING HOME ON THANKSGIVING, AND SO MANY RESIDENTS, THEIR FAMILY MEMBERS, AND STAFF WERE DELIGHTED TO SEE HER. SOME SIMPLY WATCHED SEAGRAM, AND SMILED, WHILE OTHER PEOPLE ASKED QUESTIONS ABOUT HER. WE WERE HAPPY TO SPREAD SOME HOLIDAY JOY ON THANKSGIVING...I AM THANKFUL FOR SEAGRAM, AROUND THANKSGIVING AND EVERY DAY. IT IS HARD TO BELIEVE THAT WE HAVE BEEN TOGETHER FOR JUST OVER A YEAR, BECAUSE SHE IS SO INTEGRAL TO MY LIFE THAT IT BECOMES DIFFICULT TO THINK BACK TO LIFE BEFORE OUR MATCH. AT THE SAME TIME, WE HAVE BEEN SO BUSY THAT OUR YEAR TOGETHER HAS FLOWN BY. SHE HAS HELPED ME TO WALK, AND KEPT ME FROM FALLING - BUT SHE HAS DONE SO MUCH MORE!! THANK YOU

paying it forward  by going to nursing homes......is a good thing... also ---- they are a  heated and airconditioned place to walk around....
