from the cp research team....

"The gentleman you referred to who stood for Gabby Gifford is Khizr Kahn. His son who was KIA in Iraq was a graduate of the University of Virginia here in Charlottesville where I live.
He is an amazing man."

I love having the cameras and having people enjoy the animals we have here on crazy acres and all that it entails.

It's about that entailing part which makes life difficult at times. ----where one or two people will start some horrendous criticism of our

Operation Totally without knowledge or facts... That is very difficult to take.. but I am helped along by the number of people

who go out of their way to tell me to ignore these neggies  and keep on keeping  on.

it strikes me that in my whole life I don't think I have ever written a letter to a relative stranger telling them what a fantastic job they are doing. like that Mr. Khan the other day.. He has had to stand a lot of abuse for one reason or another.. and I have sat by and watched even though I know full well at the core that's a good man..... I hope he's had plenty of letters from people telling him that..  OK all of you out there if you find me his address I'll write to him because I was impressed... as I have been for the six or seven times I have seen him on camera for one reason or another.

I am guilty of mentally saying “somebody else”  will. Do it”.    It is kind of like voting...   there ain’t enough “somebodfy elses”’s who are motivated.

How about  thanking. the  surgeons who donate a few days a year on the mercy ship.  When they could be off  on a ski trip down thre rocky mountains..... If there was snow....

I am having a was/were problem here and in my news article for next Wednesday.    ? anne?????  As a foreign born person. to explain the English language????

Between providing animals for a business – animal episodes... for movies and commercials—and then service dogs...

I have had a unique exposure to the public eye....when I started animal episodes—the SPCA and Humane society were very  accurate in being on the set. Whenever an animal was due to be filmed..

I welcomed them- although to start with I cannot say they were friendly—they had heard too many stories of animal abuse on sets..  finally... they were on t he set when  the shot called for putting a dog down a 6’ hole—supposedly. Dead... they expected  the dog to be euthsnized or tranquilized... and I showed up with ellie... a huge harl dane—lovely dog--- only knew one command “whoa”. But she did that  super well... we had just come from a still. shot of ellie in a hammock filmed in danvers by DAH... where we had lowered the hammock – got her on it and said “whoa” while we lifted it into position... she never moved.

So I got her in the hole—the back hoe had left a ramp--  had her lie down with a “whoa”. – she idid fine.... and the directr asked “do you suppose she would let us shovel dirt?” I said as long as there are no rocks we could try”. With that... the bunch of ? gaffers? Picked over a few shovel fulls while I screamed “ellie whoa”

And after the initial handful of introduction  to  shoveling  She didn’t move.

With that ... the SPCA said they saw that  monitoring me was "a waste of time" ...  and I never saw them again... until;the banding of homing pigeons... another story.
