 DRUNK ANTS......many remarkable discoveries are accidental---penicillin being one of teh most remarkable--  blackberry brandy may b one of those..

with spring springing,  the ants HAVE moveD in -- different sizes  and colors-- they are very well organized-- and ... i am told talk to each other with a pattern of whiskers-- i do know they sometimes walk in a very straight row... which this morning was  along teh very edge of my bureau--- i could see every one... because my bureau is covered with that white polywhatever that is  made for milk rooms at dairy farms and car wash places..---we use  it all over here- like doggie doors and kennel walls-and my bureau...

i have studied ants before-- when we built the house, a 4 inch column of ants came out of teh flat field across the driveway and up th ehill into what was to be our cellar- i was a beginner then... i dropped a shovel full of dirt-- IT DID NOT deterred them--  dug a hole... built a little "a-frame" -- they went up and over... i went as far as kerosene - it burned out and they kept coming.  4 inch wide column... i went baCK TO THE SOURCE-- A TINY HOLE IN THE FIELD-- AND COVERED IT.. THAT ONLY DETERRED THEM FOR A FEW MINUTES AND TEHY CAME OUT SOMEWHERE ELSE... -- THEY WERE MEDIUM SIZE ANTS

 THESE ON MY BUREAU WERE TINY-- AND SINGLE FILE- WE DON'T HAVE ANYTHING LIKE ANT KILLER ON TEH PROPERTY--- THE ONLY LIQUID WITHIN MY REACH WAS..... BLACKBERRY BRANDY-- OF WHICH I AM VERY FOND... NOT TO EXCESS OF COURSE.... A SPOONFULL IN THEIR PATH DETERRED THEM BETTER THAN THE KEROSENE.. ASW I WATCHED THESE ANTS, A FEW TURNED AROUND AND WENT BACKWARDS-- SO I LET THEM-- HOPEFULLY THEY WOULD TELL THE REST OF THEM TO GO ELSEWHERE..

AS I PUT ON MY SOX... I NOTICED... I HAVE NO ANTS ON MY BUREAU.

 AT LEAST FOR TEH MOMENT... did i discover something???    i dunno

BUGS ARE GOING  TO TAKE OVER TEH WORLD---TEHRE ARE MANY MORE DEATHS DUE TO BUGS THAN WARS.. ( I JUST MADE THAT UP, BUT I BET IT IS TRUE) -

SOMEWHERE I READ--- TEH DNA OF ANTS IN SPAIN MATCHED THE DNA OF ANTS IN THE BACK REGIONS OF RUSSIA...

I DO KNOW AROUND HERE  THERE ARE MASSIVE SOURCES-- ONE IS RIGHT IN FRONT OF THE GENERATOR TO THE BARN...

WE LOOSE TREES CONSTANTLY--- BIG TREES  -- WHICH ARE HOLLOW-- AND FULL OF ANTS--  TEH EMERGENCY  TREE CUTTING HAD TO BE THE ONE CLOSEST TO THE GArage  30" diameter 100 feet tall...  mamouth pine tree-- totaly  hollow and finally dead---

TEH NEXT IS THE 12 " one  AT THE TOP OF THE POND---  FOR 2 YEARS NOW I HAVE WATCHED THE COLLECTION OF SAWDUST AT THE BASE OF THAT TREE.

i suppose that makes us a 12 acre "ant farm"

it is a constant fight against the wilderness....  that big tree next to the smokers hut-  had a rat hole at the bottom... with great difficulty i  got a piece of 4" rubber hose and attached it to the exhaust on my car and shoved the  other end in the hole.    with great anticipation ... i sat..  then i heard a chattering overhead-- looking up there was smoke and rats coming  out of a hole 30 feet  up that tree..  

add to that -- the squirrels and chipmonks that store their nuts in guest room beds.... i give up

I AM AMAZED AT THE SIZE OF POLICE - MEN--  THE POLICE-WOMEN SEEM OF A MORE NORMAL SORT....   LAST TIME I HAD OCCASION TO HAVE SOME  POLICE-MEN  IN THIS ROOM,.... 2 OF THEM FILLED TEH ROOM.... .- AND THEY WERE FIT-  I AM NOT SURE THEY WERE HIRED BECAUSE OF THERI SIZE - LIKE THOSE FOOTBALL  PLAYERS IN TEH FRONT LINE... THESE GUYS WERE HUGE.  VERY PLEASENT, SMILING -- BUT NOT THE  TYPE ANIMAL WITH WHICH ONE WOULD CHOOSE TO DISAGREE..

MADE ME REMEMBER THE  STORY OF MY ARREST- WHICH MOST OF YOU HAVE HEARD--INADVERTENT CONTEMPT OF COURT ON A LEASH LAW VIOLATION....,  REFUSING TO DRIVE TO TEH POLICE STATION AFTER COCKTAIL HOUR,MUG SHOT -- FINGERPRINT- BEHIND BARS---  SCROUNGING AROUND FOR  ANOTHER $6  TO MAKE BAIL...

I DID WRITE TO THE CHIEF AND TELL HIM WHAT A GOOD JOB HIS OFFICER HAD DONE WITH A MORE THAN SLIGHTLY TIPSY  "SUSPECT" .

WHAT I DO DISAGREE WITH IS THE SIZE THEY MAKE THE  POLICE OFFICER'S SHIRTS-- THEY SHOULD NOT MAKE SHIRTS TO ACCOMODATE TEH PENDULOUS  ABDOMEN OF SOME OF THESE GUYS- IT WOULD BE A WAY OF NOT HAVING TO HIRE A GUY WHO CAN NOT RUN MORE THAN 20 FEET.

 TEH FIRE DEPT GETS AROUND ALL THAT WITH THE  "CLIMB THE LADDER RULE... WHERE  HIRIES  FOR OPENERS, MUST BE ABLE TO CARRY  THE 85 POUNDS OF THEIR EQUIPPMENT  UP A LADDER-- I KNOW BECAUSE TEY PUT THE EQUIPMENT ON ME AND I HAD ALL I COULD DO TO STAND  IN ONE PLACE..

IT IS ALOT MORE REASSURING TO HAVE THOSE BIG FIT POLICE-PERSONS ON CALL-- I TRY AND STAY ON TEH GOOD SIDE OF THEM BY HANDING OUT ROLLS OF LIFE SAVORS TO THEM WHEN THEY ARE CONTROLLING TRAFFIC.

BUT NO ONE IN THE AD AGENCIES OR PHOTO STUDIOS WERE WILLING TO HANDLE THE MICE-- OR THE POO THEY PRODUCED.... FORTUNATELY... SO THEY CALLED  "ANIMAL EPISODES"  ...(ME) - I WOULD GO TO A PET STORE AND BUY 2 MICE FOR ABOUT $1.59- GATHER UP MY SCREENED "UMBRELLA" THING THAT WOULD KEEP FLYS OFF THE BBQ CHICKEN at a picnic..... - PICK UP ONE ROLL OF TOILET PAPER AND ARRIVE  AT THE STUDIO....  WHERE I WOULD PUT THE MOUSE ON THE SET.. CONTAined by the screened net til it was in teh right position... i would snatch up teh umbrella-- tehy woud take the shot-- i'd  maybe wipe away 2 or 3 pieces of  brown rice type poo with teh toilet paper--- collect $150.00 check-  and smile all the way home... many   many  times.

janine with a bucket full of carrots wandering around teh dining room of a first class boston hotel.  also wandering  there was a donkey.. the carrots were a ruse--- janine  is quick-- dump the carrots- and catch whatever  is happening.

MEASLES--- WHEN I WQS A KID-- MY MOTEHR TOOK ME TO PLAY WITH A FRIEND WHO HAD MEASLES-- I WAS VERY YOUNG-- SO YOUNG  THAT FOR A VERY LONG TIME I THOUGHT  IT HAD SOMETHING TO DO WITH  GETTING PREGNANT.----TOOOK ME A WHILE TO FIGURE OUT I MUST NOT GET TEH MEASLES WHILE  BEING PREGNANT -- SO MOTHER WAS JUST GETTING THAT ONE TIMER OUTOF THE WAY EARLY...  THAT WAS BEFORE VACINES--- consequentLoy  i don't know if i have any immunity,,,,

HERE.... i do have some definite thoughts on "vacines"   there is a significant population that  believes that vacines can cause a collection of problems-- which may be true--- but what is not discussed with that population is  teh devastating effect of teh diseases the vacines do prevent... i have  heard teh rumor the polio vacine causes adhd... well i was ( i am sure ) adhd long before there wasA POLIO VACCINE OR THE  title adhd.... -- in my youth....  people told you that you must not drink cold water or SWIM FOR AN HOUR  after you have eaten anything.... because that would cause polio.--  medicine has come a long way - and altho the companies CAN  make a reasonable  profit on selling vaccines... i think that  we should say thank you and pay it.

i did not know-- until today--- that measles is one of the  most   contagious  fo all human ills... at least so teh news  today said....  a  doctor--- md type  who seemed to know what she was talking abotu----  said if a person was in a room and coughed once-- then 2 hours later 10 people went in that room.. 9 of teh 10 would get measles.

i had all sorts of questions about suspended droplets, gravity -measle droplet  drones and things like that but quickly went to airplanes ... elevators...  and teh new york subway system....

what was once 3 states on teh "measle map"  of the us a week ago ,,, is now more than half the country with cases of measles...

i am not sure if there is any permant damage to having the measles, but ther is a devastating effect on unborn chldren.

with teh contageous element ---  it will far outweigh teh zeka VIRIUS== OR WHATEVER THAT MOSQUITO BORN PROBLEM EVERYONE GOT EXCITED ABOTU

W/R/T  WILDLIFE

We all have those days, things and projects to go awry. Until I moved from my trailer house to this apartment in which I have trapped one 🐁mouse which is nothing compared to my trailer house. There it was rats,feral cats,squirrels,mice along with other kinds of wildlife. It ranged from wolves to foxes, bears, wild turkey etc you name a critter native to North America we had all but the Grizzly bear. We had a huge bear that a friend and I was watching one night that he figured it weighed between 600-700 pounds which is a big black bear. The footprint measured at 11 inches and we just stood by his jeep watching it while it came to within 50 yards lol! It went back down to the woods after 20 minutes . Beautiful and a very big male. . Under state law I can shoot them under the castle doctrine law. It has never come to that and I hope it doesn't come to be. Do take care as it is coffee time and walk dog's and pick up poop in plastic bags and toss into a dumpster lol!

i  can understand why some scientists get teh reputation for being"nuts" -- i do watch teh science channel-- mostly fOr engineering disasters-- but of all teh things to worry about last night it was black holes and how if we get drawn into one teh gravity will distort our heads.- that is enough to give any science program a bad name. by the time my head gets distprted, i probably wouldn't notice-- do they make up this stuff on some government grant???? then there is teh bunch trying to keep the water out of venice with great slabs of concrete -- REMINDING ME OF ROBERT BURN'S TAM O'SHANTER  " NAE MAN CAN TETHER TIME NOR TIDE" ;  WHEN I WAS THERE...1957  AT A VERY HIGH TIDE TEHRE WAS ABOUT 1/4 INCH JUST BRUSHING OVER ST MARKS SQ-- WHEN GWEN WAS THERE IN  1983 IT WAS KNEE HIGH-- TEH PICTURES FROM 2018  LOOK LIKE IT IS MORE THAN "INSEAM HIGH"  36"  ON ALL TEH TOURISTS..   SO ..... THAT RISING SEAWATER , I WILL BELIEVE... WE HAD TO TEAR IT ALL DOWN AND NOT REPLACE IT-- IT WAas awful I WONDER IF ALL THOSE FANCY HOUSES NEXT DOOR KNOW WHAT IS PROBABLY LIVING IN THERI INSULATION???  YOU DON'T LIVE NEXT TO A FOREST WITHOUT SOME WILDLIFE PROBLEM OR ANOTHER... **** ADI WANTS SOME PICTURES OF SERVICE DOGS AND PEOPLE--- AND HE DID SAY HUMOR WOULD BE GOOD... Dear Carlene,

You are right! (Bet you don’t get too many emails that start that way).  Your concept of not letting a dog bond with a single person before they are matched really does make a big difference in the early stages of partnership.  Rizz came home with me a month ago and I have been reflecting on how much further along we are as partners than I was with my last service dog at the one month mark....in fact, Rizz and I are about where Max and I were at the six month mark.  Max was trained in the more traditional style of bonding with a single trainer.  I remember that for the first couple of months, every time we passed a man in a hat, he whined and tried to go to him (his trainer was a man that wore a ball cap).  It took about six months for Max to reliably trust me enough as a partner to be confident with new experiences.  On the other hand, with only one month together, Rizz is so bonded with me that she won’t let me go to the bathroom on my own, and she will do anything I ask of her.  

I am proud of the progress we have made as a team this month and I am grateful for you using a common sense approach to raising service dogs that has provided me with such a great start to our partnership!

When I was training with Charlotte the phrase I recall is that the trainers like Walmart because “anything can happen at Walmart “. Today Charlotte and I were shopping at our local Walmart when all of a sudden a German shepherd appeared in front of Charlotte checking her out. A few seconds later a guy shows up trying to catch his dog. The shepherd had a service dog vest for PTSD. A lesser trained dog could immediately feel threatened and get aggressive. Not Charlotte. She just stood still and made no reaction other than maybe a lean little closer to me. The guy was very apologetic and away they went. Charlotte looked up at me and waited to go back to our business. It still blows me away how her training changes things dealing with stuff like this.

BELIEVE IT OR NOT.... I WAS ONCE A 45 POUND LITTEL KID WITH RED PIGTAILS... AND PROBABLY  WHAT WOULD NOW BE CALLED ADHD...- BACK THEN WE WERE NOT GIVEN THE TITLES-- "BRAT"  COVERED A WHOLE LOT OF LATIN MEDICAL TERMS... WHATEVER MY BEHAVIOR WAS... IT CAUSED MY MOTHER TO GIVE ME A LECTURE- TO THIS DAY I CAN SEE HER TOWERING OVER ME WITH HER APRON, SHAKING HER FINGER AT ME SAYING "IF A POLICEMAN TELLS YOU TO STOP, YOU STOP AND  YOU DON'T MOVE TIL YOU ARE TOLD TO MOVE...  YOU DON'T MOVE YOUR FEET- YOU DON'T WAVE YOUR ARMS.. YOU JUST STAND STILL." -

 WHAT I NOW CALL TEH ULTIMATE  "WHOA.!" --AS I OBSERVE TEH ON GOINGS OF THE WORLD... SOME HAVE IT... SOME DON'T. AND THOSE WHO DON'T CAN BE A PROBLEM---especially around animals...

99% of teh time having an animal/PERSON  get injured is caused by movement.. not lack thereof..  any good drqaaft horse coming out of the fields of teh amish country will stop and stand if you yell "whoa"   "MO" DOES IT WELL...--   we had a team of black draft horses which were the lead teAm of the disnEy hitch in their youth-- you coudl say whoa- tehn go have a cup of coffee-- they would be standing there when you came back.. ANY COWBOY CAN GET OFF HIS HORSE INTHE MIDDLE OF TEH PRARIE, AND IT WILL  JUST STAND THERE- OTHERWISE IT WOULD BE A LONG WALK HOME...

 whoa is a command we do teach our dogs. WHOA-- DO NOT JUMP IN THE CAR TIL I GET THE CASE OF EGGS OFF THE SEAT...-- WHOA... DON'T RUSH THRU THE DOOR TIL  TEH CHILDREN GET OUT OF THE WAY... WHOA- THAT IS MY CUP OF HOT COFFEE.. LOTSA TIMES WE WANT THE DOG TO HALT WITHOUT HAVING TO GRAB  A LEASH AND  YANK AWAY..

IT NEEDS TO STAY TAUGHT-- WHICH MEANS SOMETIME TO PRACTICE IT WHEN IT IS NOT CRITICAL

WITH PEOPLE IT NEEDS  TO BE PART OF GENERIC CHILDHOOD TRAINING... 

THERE Are signs SOME MOTHERS TRY... --   the mom song......"if your friends jump off a cliff would you jump too??".

 I SEE IT AROUND HERE WITH KIDS WHO COME BY TEH BUSLOAD...KIDS ARE EXCITED AND WANT TO RUN TO THE KENNELS WHER THE DOGS ARE THRILLED TO SEE COMPANY-- I CAN YELL "WAIT"  AND 1/2 TEH GROUP WILL STOP-- TEH OTHERS RUN ON OBLIVIOUS TO WHAT COULD--  BE A DANGER-- BARKING DOGS THAT THEY DON'T KNOW ARE BEHIND FENCING...  

PERSONALLY I WANT TO GET THAT 1/2 AND PUT THEM BACK ON THE BUS-- AND LEAVE TEHM THERE.

THIS IS WHY  I SHOULD NOT GET INTO TEACHING.-

NOTHING WRONG WITH THAT KIND OF LESSON... IT STAYS WITH YOU.

TEHR E ARE ALOT OF REASONS I PREFER TO HIRE  KIDS WITH 4-H EXPERIENCE... SOMEHOW IT IS REAL.

AS SOMEONE WHO HAS HAD THE PRIVILEGE OF VOLUNTEERING AT SERVICE DOG PROJECT AND HELPING TAKE CARE OF THE PUPPIES IN THE NURSERY AS WELL AS INTERACT WITH THE OLDER DOGS IN THE KENNELS, IT IS ALWAYS SO GRATIFYING WHEN I AM WALKING AROUND TOWN AND SEE SOMEONE WITH A GREAT DANE WEARING THE VEST. SOMETIMES I WALK OVER, INTRODUCE MYSELF, AND ASK IF THAT IS ONE OF THE DOGS FROM SERVICE DOG PROJECT AND HAVE A NICE CHAT WITH THE PARTNER. OTHER TIMES, I JUST STAY WHERE I AM, PROBABLY WITH A VERY SILLY GRIN ON MY FACE, ADMIRING ONE OF MY BABIES AS THEY DO WHAT THEY DO SO PERFECTLY.

OVER THE PAST FEW DAYS WHILE I HAVE BEEN IN THE HOSPITAL, I HAVE BEEN ENJOYING LISTENING TO THE STORIES FROM SO MANY PEOPLE ABOUT ONE OF OUR DOGS WHO HAS MADE SUCH AN IMPRESSION ON THE ENTIRE STAFF HERE: ZEKE. (AND WHEN I SAY ENTIRE STAFF, I MEAN “ENTIRE STAFF.” FROM THE PEOPLE WHO DELIVER MY MEALS, TO THE NURSES, TO THE VARIOUS LAB TECHS, TO THE DOCTORS, TO THE LOVELY LADY WHO COMES IN TO CLEAN MY ROOM EVERY DAY!!)

MY ROOM IS ON THE SAME FLOOR THAT ZEKE AND HIS PARTNER WERE ON RECENTLY. THE PROFESSIONAL STAFF HERE ARE ASSIGNED BY FLOOR AND IT SEEMS TO BE QUITE AN HONOR TO HAVE ZEKE’S ROOM AS PART OF YOUR ROTATION! THAT BOY HAS REACHED A GOD-LEVEL STATUS IN THESE HALLWAYS. I DON’T THINK I HAVE EVER HEARD SO MANY PEOPLE OOH AND AAH OVER ANOTHER CREATURE ON THIS PLANET WITH THE POSSIBLE EXCEPTIONS OF TOM BRADY AND BTS!

ONCE THE WORD WAS OUT THAT I HAD PHOTOGRAPHS OF PUPPIES WITH ME, I HAD A NUMBER OF REQUESTS TO SEE WHAT A GREAT DANE PUPPY LOOKED LIKE WHEN IT WAS BORN. THEY WERE AMAZED AT HOW TINY ZEKE (AKA “THE HORSE”) WAS WHEN HE ARRIVED AND THE DIFFERENCE IN SIZE BETWEEN MAMA AND BABIES. A PHOTO I HAD OF THE STARLETS WAS A WINNER - “OMG, SO MANY!!” THE “PUPPY TRANSPORTATION DEVICE” WAS A WINNER, AS WAS ONE OF A PUPPY MEETING HIS FIRST BOWL OF GRUEL.

THE STAFF HERE HAD NOTHING BUT PRAISE AND ADMIRATION FOR SUCH A PERFECT DOG. I THINK THE TRAINERS NEED TO KNOW THAT THEIR WORK IS NOTICED. WELL DONE, EVERYONE!! THE WORD IS OUT - THE DOGS OF SERVICE DOG PROJECT ARE OUT THERE, MAKING A DIFFERENCE FOR THEIR PARTNERS TODAY AND ALL THE TEAMS THAT WILL FOLLOW.

why is it directions are soooooo hard to understand...? a foolish question-- i already know teh answer--  engineers with their logic put together a  lovely machine often with a few "but at the same time i could also make it.......xxxxx"   then they give it to the english department-- with their perfect spelling, paragraphing and semi colons-- often translated into french chinese and spanish depending on how you unfold the instruction sheet- then to save -- i am not sure what-- they include the instructions for  model numbers 736G284b  with 736G284a on the same paper-- teh difference is on  model " b" you turn lever 14 left-- and on model " a " you turn it right-  all teh safety instructions  about electrucution and  INJURING  child operators are the same for both. so you get out the manual and it helpfully informs you that the model number is on the back side underneath  a covering which can be easily removed with a star shaped screw driver.

i have owned a tractor for 100 years-- a big orange thing- turn the key, it starts, moves foraard, baCKWARD, MOVE THE LEVER AND IT PICKS UP ANYTHING HEAVY AND DUMPS IT WHEN TOLD TO DO SO. TRUN THE KEY OFF, DROP THE BUCKET AND YOU ARE DONE.  EASIER THAN ANY SEWING MACHINE I WAS EVER FORCED TO USE....

 THEN I BOUTGHT A SMALLER ORANGE THING-  WHICH WAS CHEAPER, PICKED UP SMALLER THINGS AND CUT TEH GRASS.- BUD DROVE IT .. MARK DROVE IT.. AND I GOT ON IT AND TURNED THE KEY--- IT ROARED INTO LIFE WITH ALL TEH  ENTHUSIASM OF A BRAND NEW BATTERY.  I WIGGELED THE FOOT THING WHICH MADE THE BIG TRACTOR GO FORWARD...AND IT DID-- ABOTU 2 INCHES.  CLUNK-- MUST BE THAT THE BUCKET IS DOWN AND STUCK... MOVE LEVER TO RAISE BUCKET... WIGGLE... CLUNK... NOTHING.

OK,,,, THINK.... ON THE BIG TRACTOR TEHR IS A LEVER AND HOOK  THAT PREVENTS THE BACKHOE FROM DOING UNEXPECTED THINGS LIKE  SWINGING SIDEWAYS  AND WIPING OUT PARKED CARS..  TEH CLUNK SOUNDED LIKE THAT.

THERE WERE 3 LEVERS WITH A CUTE PICTURE OF  A LOCK  OPEN AND  LOCK CLOSED  OK.. I COULD UNDERSTAND THAT..

NOW COMES THE HARD PART..  I KNOW THAT SOME OF THESE TRACTORS BRAG ABOUT HOW EASY IT IS TO PUT THINGS ON THEM AND TAKE THEM OFF... LIKE THE FRONT BUCKET... WHICH WAS THE ONLY THING ON THIS MACHINE AT THE MOMENT.

DID THE "LOCKED"  MEAN THAT THE BUCKET  WAS LOCKED IN PLACE READY TO  USE--- OR ONE OF THOSE "BUT WE CAN" EXTRAS WHERE LOCKED MEANS IT IS LOCKED TO PREVENT THE  UNINTENDED USE.

THE POSITION  OF THOSE LEVERS MEANT IT WOULD TRY  BUT WAS UNABLE TO MOVE- CAUSING ME TO MAKE  RANDOM DECISIONS-  IN MATH THAT WOU LD BE PERMUTATIONS AND COMBINATIONS OF TEH 3 LEVERS

1 AND 3 LOCKED..2 UNLOCKED--- OR 1 UNLOCKED QND 2 AND 3 LOCKED-

I FORGET TEH MATH FORMULA  BUT HTERE IS A BIG NUMBER OF COMBINATIONOF 3 THIGNS  EVEN WHEN ORDER DOES NOT COUNT

 UNLOCKING ALL 3 NEARLY MADE TEH LOADER FALL OFF- NEARLY--- WHICH MEANT IT WAS NOW NOT STRAIGHT -LUCKILY CHIP WAS HERE .....  WE GOT TEH MANUAL OUT-- IT DID NOT HELP  BECUASE IT NEVER DEFINED TEH PIECES THAT IT TALKED ABOUT...  HE STTRUGGELED AND GOT  THE BUCKET STRAIGHT AGAIN.. AND I WIGGLED LEVERS- ALL OF A SUDDEN IT DECIDED TO GO... AND WORKED PERFECTLY..  I STILL HAVE NO CLUE WHY-- SO WE NEED A SIGN ON ALL THOSE LOCK AND UNLOCK LEVERS "DO NOT LEVER"

BOY DID I GET CHEMICAL LEACHING +  GERMS STORIES--- REAACTING TO YESTERDAY'S DD ABOUT TRYING TO RECLAIM TEH PLAND SOPRINGS BOTTLES..... HOWEVER...ONE FDA REPORT NOTED THE NEGATIVE REUSE OF BOTTLES BASICALLY CAME FROM A STUDENT PAPER ? FROM IOWA? AND THE PAPER NEVER WENT THRU "PEER REVIEW"

THEN WENT ON TO SAY THRE HAVE BEEN CHANGES IN THE PLASTIC  WHERE THE Y HAVE FOUND NO LEACHING EVEN IN THE HEAT. THEY SUMMED IT UP WITH.....

The real culprits for the safety of reusing any water bottle are the bacteria and fungi that can grow in damp or partially full bottles once they have been opened. These bacteria generally come from your hands and mouth, or any dirt that comes in contact with the mouth of the bottle.

MY HANGING UPSIDE DOWN WITH AN ELASTIC GETS RID OF THAT   "REAL CULPRIT" ..  ALL THE ARSINIC PROBLEMS ARE FAR WORSE IN BOTTLE WATER IN GENERAL-- THERE ARE FEWER RESTRICTIONS ON BOTTLED THAN COMMERCIAL PUBLIC WATER OUT OF THE FAUCET.

 THOSE SNAPP TOPS OF POLAND SPRINGS ARE VERY GOOD... I HAVE NOT SEEN ANY BETTER EVEN IN THE  MILLION DOLLAR STAINLESS STEEL INDIVIDUAL SIPPERS... WHICH SUFFER THEIR OWN "DAMP" ISSUES UNLESS STERALIZED WITH ENTHUSIASM NIGHTLY.

 THEN------ SINCE I GOT GOING ON "DAMP"-- I ADDRESSED MY AVERSION TO ... THE KITCHEN SPONGE-- AN DSAW SOMEWHERE SOMEONE HAD CUT A BOTTLE IN HALF-- AND BY INVERTING THE TOP IN THE  BOTTOM THEY HAD A  MORE SANITARY SPONGE DRIP EPISODE GOING.

THAT CAUSED ME TO GO TO EBAY------ IN AN EFFORT TO REDUCE TEH GERM LADEN DAMP PROBLEM WITH JUST A LITTLE MORE CLASS THAN A CUT OFF WATER BOTTLE( WHICH WOUDL WORK)-- TURNS OUT THERE ARE ALL SORTS  OF FUN ANTI DRIP STRAINERS FOR BARS TO BATHTUBGS.... I SETTLED ON THE STAINLESS STEEL --DRAIN STRAINERS WHICH WILL FIT IN SEVERAL OF THE VERY NICE COFFEE MUGS WHILE HOLDING A KITCHEN SPONGE IN ONE AND A DIFFERENT 1 FOR THE BOTTLE TOPS .

Are there any SDP military greeter dogs near Syracuse?  There is a WWII Veteran Honor Flight on Saturday April 27^th where they fly the World War II vets to Washington to see all the memorials.  When they come back to the Syracuse airport there is a celebration honoring the vets along with the news media being there too.  I just thought it would be fun to have a greeter SDP dog if there are any  in the area?
