we had about 25 people here for the sh#TTING and #129 was the winner ---- which was lori--
we nearly made the month's feed bill--- a tremendous help--
we are on a roll--- headed for the first Sunday of november.. as soon as i can figure out how to open the next "wall"
memory is such a terrible thing to loose- the fact that i have opened 5 other "walls" has no effect on my ability to open the next.
****************
the nuthouse-- greg is a great insulation hanger--- he went thru 4 rolls in nothing flat-- all he needed was to be kept in deserts with whipped cream--
a simple matter since we had great variety of foods at the Sunday stew--
****
it was wonderful to have the open fire-- just takes the nip out of the weather... soon we will lower the "curtains" and be slightly more windproofed...
there are a bunch due here today from brooksby-- i hope they come regardless of the weather...
the weather is only going to get worse-
like you needed to be reminded
***********
also... reminding----- gigi plus 63 days equals thanksgiving day/weekend....
for the past 15 years i have avoided T-day with the family as they gathered in washington-- houston or denver--- this year they are coming to ipswich--- and i can't make the dinner 5 miles away if gigi is in labor?????
so all you folk who think having pups is fun--- there is the first challenge along with asking george where he is having t-day dinner.... i think he is around for major holidays -- unless he is in africa... but better check---
there are many people well versed in delivering puppies-- namely earlene-- who said she will be around...
these pups we have are progressing... the spoon feeding and coming when called is moving on toward a trained dog--
anD the little ones ( chaos bunch) HAVE LEARNED "BACK" AS YOU STAMP YOUR FEET SO THEY DON'T RUSH THE DOOR--- OR GATE...
we try never to use our muscles to control the pups---or dogs.
if you grab and push them back they learn to push harder--- if you say back and stamp your feet in their direction they lear that backing up is the safest thing to do... a valuable lesson.
THE BIGGER ONES--- YELLOW AND SIBLINGS--- HAVE ENJOYED THE RUN OF PUPPY HILL
NOW HOW OR WHY THEY HAVE COME ACROSS SOME CHICKEN WIRE IS BEYOND ME !! twice now a small 8" piece of torn wire has appeared-- i don't know where it is coming from but do be aware---
it may be hard to spot since the grass has got ahead of me - a very annoying thing since all kinds of stuff is hiding in the grass just waiting for an odd sneaker to step in it.
back to a fairly norMAL SCHEDULE--
NOEL NEEDS SOME HEAVY DUTY TRAINING... SHE IS SOOOOO HAPPY -- I THINK THAT WOULD BE "AN AIRHEAD" EVEN IF SHE IS A POSSIBLE BREEDING DOG - SHE HAS TO BEHAVE BETTER.
TRAINING TODAY
PROBABLY HOME DEPOT- TIL THE NUTHOUSE IS FINISHED WE WILL BE THERE ALMOST DAILY..
AND THE AMBU IS READY TO COME OFF THE ROAD AND BE A PORTABLE SHED--- WITH GENERATOR CAPABILITIES-- AND LIGHTING--- AND PA SYSTEM..
CURRENTLY IT IS FULL OF PLYWOOD FOR THE FLOOR.
ON WE GO
