puppy progress

last night crimson would not be quiet-- and the rest were sleeping
she tried climbing the short fence- finally i let her out and she went over to the furnature moving mat-- which someone had previously christened--sniffed once and moved her bowels..  GOOD MOVE

i was not thinking of that communication yet...  wow

that mat is not where i would have chosen to start the sniff training-- it is soooo big to wash  but apparently a puppy pad with appropriate smear might be called for now

they are all around my feet--- having had breakfast--- and mom jumped  in the pen for some peace and quiet while the pups roam th e living room

******************

met with the dane for therapy testing-- nice dog--- not afraid to have people think it is ours.  I AM SURE IT WOULD PASS THE PUBLIC ACCESS TRAINING OF ADI
**************
megan and bud held manny and frankie while i walked around with the other dog.
manny is picking up the concept-- go somewhere - do somehting-get in the ambu- go home

now frankie is still woowooowowo  we are going somehwhere---  and for the first ime in my life i had a dane put the ambu in reverse-- i was driving slowly--- but reverse is not drive-- the good ole ambu didn't complain much and happily continued as we shoved it back in drive.

and frankie and manny are not best friends as they battled for attention in the door of the van--- and again in harness

unfortunately blood shows on a white dog-- it is only a couple tiny punctures-- but enough for everyone in public to mention.-
-"he was bickering with his brother" is the response-- otherwise some will assume the tiny hole was caused by him being beaten with a club.

****************

we also went to macco to see the bottom dollar for repainitng a van--- $350    that might =be the way to go with the counsil of aging van.  so for $351 we would have a decient looking vehicle--- that i still could not loose in the parking lot.
*************
and a trip to the home for the deaf--- for ,More elevator trAINING- FOR MANNY-----
THEY WERE VERY HAPPY TO SEE US--- AND I GOT IN A MINISCULE BIT OF SIGN LANGUAGE PRACTICE...

IT IS SO SIMPLE TO GET THERE--  MAYBE I SHOULD SHOW THE THERAPY DOG PERSON  THE ROPES THERE-- THEY WOULD LOVE HER TO GO

************************
I HAD AN EMAIL FROM BONNIE-- WHO HAS BEEN AMONG THE MISSING-- PROBABLY STRUGGLING WITH HORSE CARE IN THE WINTER-
AND REMINDED HER WE DO SUNDAY STEW- REGARDLESS OF THE EASTER FACTOR.

I PLAN TO GO TO COSTCO TODAY--- AND WILL BUY A HAM FOR SUNDAY  --- PRESLICED IF THEY HAVE THEM..
***********************************
JANINE SAID THE BLACK AND WHITE STUD LOOKED A LITTLE COLLICKY BUT WHEN I CHECKED LAST NIGHT IT WAS NIBBLING HAY-- HAD NOT TOUCHED THE GRAIN  BUT EATING HAY.-

PLAN IS TO TRY AND SEE IF WE CAN TELL IF HE IS TRAINED TO DRIVE-
THE USUAL WAY IS TO PUT ON THE HARNESS-- AND STAND BACK AS YOU PUT THE CRUPPER UNDER HIS TAIL-- AT WHICH POINT YOU MAY GET SOME INDICCATION  AS TO HIS TRAINING LEVEL...

WHICH YOU CAN ADDRESS AFTER YOU CATCH HIM FROM RUNNING AROUND BUCKING.
********************

AND FRANKIE GOT A RABIES SHOT-  WE COULD NOT WAIT ANY LONGER  FOR PAPERWORK--

BARBARA--- ARE YOU STILL CHASING HIS AKC PAPERS--- THEY WOULD BE NICE TO HAVE---
BUT WITH MY AVERSION TO AKC REGISTRATION  THEY ARE NOT NECESSARY.
IF ANYONE DOUBTS HE IS PUREBRED, I PROBABLY WOULDN'T SELL THEM A PUP ANYWAY  (ALONG WITH I REALLY DO NOT INTEND TO SELL PUPS-- UNLESS THE NESXT FEMALES WE BREED HAVE 13 PUPS EACH !!!!)

I HAVE SEEN THOSE "AKC PAPERS" GET SOLD  WITHOUT A DOG ATTched.
some ppeople buy a pup - and the breeder gicves them limited registration-- and then then decide they want to show-- so they find a breeder with "extra" papers--- and buy them.

more akc paper chasing

lynn-- try darlene--- or vinnie again for gigi's  and
can someone else try and keep track of dakota's

speaking of her---  dakota is close to jumping the fence--- and she is definitely dog aggressive--- that is why we were given her..  so if dogs are running loose she should be in kennel 9 or 10

*-******************
critical info
i saw someone yesterday in patting the puppies , pat them on top of their head--- and the puppy pulled back like manny does-
made me wonder
from the puppy standpoint is getting banged on top of the head a good thing?

i think maybe not-

so lets go for chin scratching and belly rubbing instead of head  hitting-- which is what they could think at this point.
***************

hillary is here today with dog duty--- with bumpy--- as olive is nearing  breeding stage

chaos should be showing heat also  soon.

schedule--  costco about 10am
if anyone wants to ride and save gas show up by then
