ustabeeeeee..... for alot of years--- i would stop by any adult day care-- or nursing home- on a drive by basis- nothing official... people seemed to like it.... especially the staff-- i totaLLY ENJOYED TEH FAct that my dogs were spectacularly big aND  perfectly behaved... made people either smile-- or at least be distracted from their grim details.  i never kept track---  and tehn we lost out on a grant from cummings  - one of the big reasons was we were  not local enough- the cummings grant was specifically for a few counties in  eastern mass.altho we are from teh area, the recipients of our dogs  are from too far afield...  bella is great--- but donating to  eve in wisconson  did us no favors with cummings. 

we blew teh wrong horn--  SDP' orchestra  has an entire brass section-  and tho teh service dogs may be teh trumpet section.... , our road trips are teh french horn division, which is  not quite as  flamboyant  but lend a quality of mellow tone to  the orchestra.

in jan  of 2019  we ( judy) started keeping traqck.. and listing the  current ones  plus those we could rememeber form 2018.  As we went around-- now judy  found  every one of these places had a director of  entertainment ( or some such title) these poor people were hard pressed to come up wih "things" -- TO ENTERTAIN THE  REALLY POOR PEOPLE IN THEIR CARE.

not to be outdone in teh creative department--- judy  GOT THE IDEA OF ENTERTAINING THE  ALTZEIMEER GROUPS  WITH DECORATING OUR POO PICKERS--  AND SHE HAS A PACKET OF POO DECORATION EQUIPMENT-- STAMPS CRAYONS -- LIGHT COLORED POO PICKERS SENT BY CP'S-- THIS IS A big success- and entertaining for thejm --- and me  -- to watch teh difference a few dogs and a simple chore can make in a dreary day,  also  judy is capabLe of aNIMALTED CONVERSATIONWITH ABSOLUTELY ANYONE.

SOMETIMES IT IS SHOCKING.... ONE MAN WHO RARELY SPEAKS AT ALL TOLD JUDY AS HE HANDED HER HIS DECORATED POO PICKER "MAKE SURE THEY KNOW THIS IS A FRED CONNER'S ORIGIONAL"

IN MY NOBLE OPINION, NOT ONE WAS BEING USED AS INTENDED-- TO RELIEVE BOREDOM OF TEH "INMATES."  USUALL BLANK-- NOT EVEN ON... SOME STATIC COMMERCIAL  LOGOS ----OUT OF 78 VISITS, ONE HAD A GAME SHOW WHICH I WAS TOLD WAS A REPLAY-- HOW BAD IS  THAT????REPLAYING A GAME SHOW???? 

I KNOW TEH GOLDFISH ON EXPLORE.ORG 'S UNDERWAter cameras  WOULD BE  1000% BETTER THAN WHAT IS THERE NOW.

teh shame of not being able to work my "smart tv"  finally got to me-- i bit the bullet and bought a small laptop and a hdmi cable-- now i can watch expore.org instead of the news channels.

how do we now say to bill cummings... ok -- it is your turn to help-- you must have an  IT department.... loan us teh personel to get these "smart tv's"  operational.... that would be financially more economical than to  alternately give us a grant to make this " road trip"  more than just an idea division of   SDP/.

i have just m,aDE an executive decision... which i hope is Not overridden.... there is a contingent of people  who really love putting up wedding tents---  and really want me to have onfe for dog fest--- however...  this is crazy acres---  if you want perfect living conditions, we should rent a hall ND DO THE THING INSIDE--  THE ARGUEMENT IS A 20 X 30  TENT WHICH WE COUDL RENT FOR ABOTU THE SAME MONEY IT WOULD COST TO BUY IT...- IT IS NOT TH E MONEY..... ***  WE ALREADY OWN A ?20 X 15 TENT WHICH I THINK A FEW CP'S SHOULD BE ABLE TO SET UP[-- AND CARRY IT AROUND ONIT'S 6 LEGS...-- WALKINBG THAT AROUND IS FAR MORE IN KEEPING WITH  CRAZY ACRES AND WOULD BE A FITTING  EDUCATIONAL CHALLANGE SO I SENT THIS EMAIL TO SANDY.... i do hate it because this DOGFEAST   is supposed to be  an outdoor experioence-  i can not believe a 20 X 30 AREA WILL HELP-- THAT  IS TEH AREA OF THE T TENT  shade can be had by the guest house...  pouring rain would put us in the arena.... a wedding tent will not help wioth the cold-  WHEREVER YOU PUT IT,  EVERYONE'S  PHOTOS WILL. MAKE IT LOOK LIKE SOME CHEAP WEDDING RECEPTION-- ruin teh atmosphere I WOULD MAKE THIS CONCESSION.... TO MAKE SURE WE HAVE ALL THE PIECES OF THAT 20 X 15  TENT WE ALREADY OWN - AND A TArp to fit--- then if they want another tent-- it would be a good project to have all teh cp's set it up and  carry it around on it's 6 legs... that woul.d be more in fitting than a company setup sorry can't do it. ****   COME PREPARED....I CAN'T PLAY TEH WHATIF GAME.... ***** I HAD A PHONE CALL.."I HAVE A GREAT DANE 6 MONTH OLD PUP AND NEED TO GO AWAY FOR 2 DAYS--  CAN NOT FIND A PLACE TO TAKE HIM"  I STARTED TO SAY "WE DON'T BOARD DOGS.. "  TURNS OUT--- SHE IS "KATHY"-- ACE BAILEY'S WIFE-- BOY DO WE HAVE ALOT OF HISTORY TO GO OVER !!  ACE WAS A MEMEBER OF THE STANELY  CUP TEAM-- BOBBY ORR, WAYNE CASHMAN,PHIL ESPOSITO GERRY CHEEVERS KEN HODGE---  ACE WAS IN ONE OF THE PLANES THAT HIT THE TWIN TOWERS IN NEW YORK...   I GOT TO KNOW THE  BRUINS BUNCH BECAUSE LYNN CASHMAN WAS A "NOTABLE " QUARTERHORSE OWNER AMIONG OTHER THINGSW LYNN AND WAYNE LIVED WITH US IN LYNNFIRLD FOR 2 WEEKS WHEN THIER HOUSE BURNED TO THE GROUND.... BOY--- TALKABLUT THINGS TOO HOT TO PUT IN THE DAILY DOGGIE-- THEM WAS A WILD 14 DAYS. I THIMNK I HAVE PUT ONE THING IN A PAST DD---  IT WAS DURING THSI TIME I DISCOVERED THAT GERRY CHEEVERS( BRUINS  GOALIE) WHEN SLEEPING ON THE COUCH, COULD CATCH A FLY IN MID AIR- TALK ABOUT REFLEXES-- AND DRIVING IN TEH CAR WITH WAYNE DRIVING WAS HAIR RAISNG FOR THE SAME REASON...  REFLEXES SUPER QUICK. UNFORTUNATELY  THERE IS ALOT I CAN NOT PUT IN PRINT....  KATHY AND I SHOLD HAVE FUN REMEMBVERING.  SHE SAID SHE'D COME OUT AFTER  NOON TODAY. P.S.. HER DANE'S BROWN

BENTLEY WENT THRU AN EXTENSIVE PHYSICAL YESTERDAY- AND WAS PRONOUNCED FINE-- WITH THE ONLY EXCEPTION IS THAT WHAT SHOULD BE 2 MATCHING  MALE APPENDAGES, THEY DO NOT MATCH.

TEH QUICK-- AND  USUAL ANSWER  THERE IS A "WELL REMOVE THEM" -- WHICH COULD BE DONE-- EXCEPT  THAT IS DEFINITELY THE END OF HIS  FATHERHOOD...  WHERE IF WE JUST TAke A FEW MOR MINUTES TO INVESTIGATE, HIS LACK OF PRODUCING PUPS COULD ALSO BE  A TESTOSTERONE DEFICIENCY AFTER THAT ELEVATOR ELECTROCUTION ACCIDENT-- WHICH MIGHT MEAN WE COULD EXPERIMENT WITH A PILL OR TWO-- SO WE ARE PURSUING THAT  INVESTIGATION  WITH BLOOD TESTS AND THINGS LIKE THAT-- WE MAY END UP NEUTERING HIM...  BUT NOT TIL WE HAVE JUST A FEW MORE ANSWERS---MEDICAL PEOPLE LOOK ONLY AT TEH 2 MISMATCHED APPENDAGES-- BUT I LOOK AT TH E  LONG LIST  WHICH INCLUDES  GEORGE, EMMET, WICKED,SIENNA, CLARKE SEAGRAM, PIXIE AND MERLE--AND 30 OR SO MORE.--- TEH CONCEPT OF ONE MORE LITTER OF HIS  DESERVES SERIOUS CONSIDERATION.

lots cookin today-- fence to come down, bentley to go for a second opinion feelie, and --- teh road scraper put ion teh tractor instead of the grass catcher... hole to dig for teh tree stump pounder outside  teh shop-- which was "rons world"  and is now a mini home depot suply closet- with out organization...

buds world--- what was previously referred to as teh giraffe tent was stripped of #$%^&*()  and organized by a great coupple from maine-- all teh good tables were removed to where good tables are  sat at... and teh rough  blue picnic tables we removed to a more rugged lifestyle. all this enabled the shatting to take place....

we have at least one chicken who seems to have the process down squat.-- she comes out of the crate... makes her choice and turns and goes back in the crate-- i would not have believed it if i had not seen it.  i have always wondered about teh bird brain expression...  humans can get these things all wrong-- like horse sense...  

horse sense is about the last kind of  sense i would want to have-- so back to bird brtain...

 there is a video around of a chicken playing teh stars spangled banner on a tiny piano at americans got talent???

 i think i could do that with any of our chickens---i think teh  way it was done is  chikens willl peck at most anything moving.. like a laser beam-- all the person had to do was recognize thatt( ifit was true).

this was the secret of my success at animal episodes- very eaqrly in the game i recognized that what  these people----- with teh big check books  from holywook  ----realy wanted was not a dog running across boston common-- they wanted a picture of a dog running across boston common-- and tehy really didn't care how it all happened... 

as life with animals in movies  went on-- animal rights got involved and would not let anyone use that approval stamp you all have become used to seeing :" no animals were harmed in the production if this movie"  -- this is a big deal with movie makers-- and my animal episodes had a 100%  aqpproval rate with animal rights.. maybe i shoudl say 99%-- because teh cockroaches i used for "the next karate kid"  movie were harmed--- i set fire to the shoe box full of them in the parking lot before i left the set..-- they ahd been drafted for teh performance from a local restaurant - and  were doomed anyway.

teh animal inspectors were on set in full force for the  _ i forget the movie name-- where a  dead dog gets burried deep-- like 6 feet down-  i arrived with ellie - who was one of m y origional 8-- great big dog- harlequin--- as steady as tehy come...  i had just used her in a hammock commerscial-- and let me tell you  to get a dog in a swing hamoch takes a steady dog.....-- the set had dug th e hole--3 sided- with a ramp down-- so down she and i went-- i had her lie down- and arrainged her legs as they wanted-- they got the shot--- and teh director said-- do you suppose we coudl cover her with dirt?  i said "lets try" -- it tooke just a few handfulls to get her used to teh

 ( rock free)  dirt they used to cover her... but she stayed nearly motionless-- they had to cut  the "take"  for teh small adjustments of teh dirt drop--

but the animal rights group said to me then- they were not gong to waste money observing me any more.  that was a huge compliment...- and they nearly stuck to it  until the  clint "make my day" episode with pigeons... but thzat is another story/

 The “Pig” and I had a great 4th of July! It was a hot one, so we didn’t do much walking. But he handled the parade like a champ(the fire truck sirens were a little scary) and I think we both looked great, if I do say so myself

WHICH BRINGS ME TO TODAY'S   FYI--- TEH AMISH AND THIER BUSINESSES  -- I BOUGHT 2 OF THOSE TABLES  FROM A LOCAL STORE-- AND THE THIRD-- IDENTICAL ONE  FOR ABOUT 1/2 PRICE + SHIPPING FROM SOMEONE IN AMISH LAND OUT OF TEH  LANCASTER COUNTY  BUSINESS DIRECTORY-- A HUGE PHONE BOOK THING- PUT OUT BY DAVCOADVERTISING.COM--   A CP SENT ME THE FIRST ONE- AND FOR SOME REASON I CONTINUE TO GET THEM YEARLY . I HAVE SINCE FOUND   THOSE  HIGH RISE ADERONDAC  "PLASTIC" CHAIRS AT 1/3 PRICE -- CHAIN LINK PARTITIONS.... CLIPPER REPAIRS AND SO MANY  LABOR INTENSIVE WORK  NO LONGER AVALILABLE IN THE  YOUTHFUL POPULATION OF TODAY.

IF I COULD EVER GET THOSE PURCHASES ATTACHED TO TEH DONKEY MOVING TRAILERS JANINE HAS COMING HERE FROM THE SLAUGHTER PEN OPERATION IN PENNA, I COULD REALLY SAVE MONEY.

scots book "knot today"  is  a darn good read--  i forget teh details of when it officially comes/came  out in print-- like maybe yesterday??  i know my copy is labeled "draft" - he  does give a pretty accurate description of  crazy acres with danes, donkeys , guinea hens  and wanda with a balloon tied to her back--  i don't know if it will help him   but in good ole amazon style-- they offer "people who bought this book also bought..." make way for donkeys" ??????  not realizing there is a logical connection.

 speaking of donkeys----  we have a semi serious situation..  janine says she paid for teh "neutering" of the last two donkeys... now i do not propose to be an expert  on male appendages, but where i would expect to see 2 relatively insignificant "containers"  the contents of which are ordinarliy removed during neutering,,,,,   they don't look empty to me.. and as of early this morning, the looked perfectly functional-- where only a problem with geometry and one other male donkey prevented teh success of  donkey reproduction for a female who was obviously "flagging".

 the only other fact i know about donkeys is----   when neutering a male donk, it is necessary to take one stitch-- which is not necessary with bulls and horses--  now if teh vet who was supposed to have done the neuter job, did not stitch that "bleeder" maybe the satchels just got filled with blood... which would make them look "real" ... maybe--

i am gong to feel very foolish to have to call bryan and ask him to come out and get under and look for evidence of scar tissue...

however ----  feeling foolish never bothered me before. - both these 2 males are fairly wild.... and  bryan is maybe teh only person i know who could deal with teh problem.

or we could just wait......  gestation is 12 months with a donk.  somebody ought to write down the date that the little brown donk was in heat..  nothing happened that i could see-- but i did not watch all night either...

Dear Carlene, 

Hope all is well. Pixie and I have been very busy with enjoying the fresh summer air. We have been doing our normal routine along with going to the park and going out to the park. 

It’s amazing how fast we adapted to learning how to have her help me up off the grown with one arm. My shoulder recently came out of socket and I have to be very careful not to use my arm as it slips out very easily still. We are going to PT 2xs a week to hopefully strengthen all the ligaments so I can avoid a surgery. Pixie has been a great help and all the staff at Pt absolutely adore her. 

Today was super hot out and while out my legs gave out and all I could think was how blessed I am to have received Pixie cause kept me upright and able to continue with my daily activities. 

Thank you so much for giving me my independence back and to be able to keep moving forward.

that 2 year old singing the national anthem is worth seeing...  if this "click" doesn't work, it is worth a google. she almost has teh words and almost the tune- which is better than alot of singers i have heard.

fans-- and my attention  to goldie's suggestions-----last night's 2am  nervous breakdown--   we have 2 fans blowing into the  horse stall you can see on camera-- i did see them being set up  and  told someone we shoud not run them til bud looked themover and maybe got the cobwebs out from last year.... i don't think he ever got that suggestion....   - then in passing bud asked me about hte $18 box fans in home depot-- suggesting  several new ones  every year might not be a bad idea. -- which i forgot  til 2am-- 

fact----- i can now  watch teh barn cameras on my bedroom tv-  

 fact-- bud  stopped me on the front porch  and said teh a/c of teh kennel ( a big whole house  thing in the feed room heat and a/c) in number 10 was not getting there very well- so maybe we shoudl get a $19 job to push air around  between 8 and 10.  i was in a rush to do the extra mail call at 5pm and it went in the back of my head.... until 2AM ---

fact--- udy brought a new thermometer and set it in kennel 10, i coudlo see that the temp there was 70 degrees... i then could not sleep---  why woudl we be  running those big fans at teh donkey stall if - without much a/c teh temo was 70 degrees -- and i got into a goldie moment-- why would bud talk to me about  barn fans on teh front porch unless it was goldie saying WAKE UP-- to have a dusty  unkept fan  hooked to the wooden rafters right over a big pile of hay-- was beyond stupid-- so poor grace  who was the overnight-- i went and asked her to go down and shut it off..  which she did.

these donkeys are wild animals who put up with  all sorts of heat and flys in nature.. we give tehm a lot- but we might have to  ask that they use their tails  for fly swishing---

in teh meantime-- i listen to all the ads on tv about outdoor "events"   vs bugs in general-- and  my raw liver  plastic bottles far  out performs any otehr commercial ones i have tried... plus-- this year-- i dunno why-- maybe my aging nose does not perform as it ouce did.. but the bottles are filling with flys faster than the rotting smell of teh liver-- there  23.7 oz poland springs bottle with one chicken liver had 3 inches of black dead flys without producing the rotten stench- so i just threw those out and put new bottles down teher-- ( and i have rebagged teh 1 pound of chicken livers  in prep for more replacements)- i hear someone cooked and ate some for lunch-- not a problme

 volunteers----  tehre is so much around here that gets done by teh "standard purple shirters"  and teh "  almost purple shirter " -

i came to sunday sanday last saturday with 8 rolls of toilet paper  in the middle of teh driveway..  i commented on how nice it was of her to supply toilet paper-- and she said "i have been doing this weekly for the past 8 years..!"

  there is more of this around here than most people realize....   teh "shoe fairy" that notices when my shoes are getting worn- and sends me a pair -- to the karenda bed menders....  there are soo many--
