THE GREEN ROOM IS  SOMEPLACE WHERE ACTORS SIT UNTIL THEY ARE DUE ON STAGE --  IT CAN BE AN ACTUAL ROOM-- OR A SIGN NAILED TO A TREE. 

EVERY ONCE IN A WHILE- LIKE ON THE TODAY ( OR TONIGHT) SHOW  I HAVE HEARD SOMEONE REFER TO  " THE  GREEN ROOM"  WHICH MUST SOUND STRANGE IF YOU DON'T  KNOW THE TERM...

IT WAS WATSON'S FIRST  EXPERIENCE WITH RUNNING BLINDLY  AROUND AND SUDDENLY BEING IN A FOOT OF WATER-- SUPER EXPERIENCE FOR HIM...  HE  STOPPED WITH A PERFECT HS ( HOLY SHOOT)  EXPRESSION...   HE RAN A LITTLE MORE CAREFULLY AFTER THAT... BUT WAS NOT THE FIRST TO JUMP BAK IN THE CAR..  I THOUGHT I MIGHT HAVE TO GET IN MY SELF AND LET HIM RUN A ROUND AND WONDER WHY HE WAS ALL ALONE...  THAT MAY HAPPEN YET..  HE WASN'T SPOON FED TO LEARN TO PAY ATTENTION....

BETSY'S RELATIVE IS DUE HERE TO SHOOT SOME VIDEO OF SDP...AND ME... SO I AM SUPPOSED TO COME UP WOITH " STORIES"   .. OH GREAT---- SDP IS ONE LONG GREAT STORY-- PEOPLE ALWAYS ASK HOW DID YOU GET GOING?  ...... AND I USUALLY COME UP WITHTHE STORY OF MY DANE STUD JUMPING A FENCE AND BREEDING 3 FEMALE  IN ONE DAY- GIVING ME 23 DANE PUPS 3 DAYS LATER-- TOO MANY LEMONS YOU MAKE LEMONADE... WHICH IS CERTAINLY TRUE... BUT SOMEWHERE IN THERE WAS TEH 4AM TRIP IN TO BOSTON WITH 15 ROOSTERS IN MY VAN---- ALL IN SEPARATE CAGES--( THEY FIGHT---) I  IN MY YOUTH ( 30 YEARS AGO?) I WAS "ANIMAL EPISODES" WHICH PRROVICDED ANIMALS FOR COMMERCIALS AND PRINT ADS ETC.... I  THINK IT WAS FOR THE MOVIE  HONOR BOUND  WITH /?JOE PESCHE?- WHAT ... I WAS ASKED TO BRING IN A ROOSTER FOR JOE TO CARRY THRU HARVARD SQUARE - IN A CRATE.  WONDERFUL !  SIMPLE?  NO WAY.... NOW LET ME TELL YOU WHY MOVIES COST SO MUCH TO MAKE-- IF THAT WS ALL THAT WAS NEEDED, I PROBABLY WOULD HAVE SHOWN UP WITH 3 ROOSTERS  ALL CAREFU;Y CRATED.... HOWEVER....... THE DIRECTOR DID NOT KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT ROOSTERS AND WANTED HIS CHOICE OF 5 BREEDS---AND EACH SHOULD HAVE 2 IDENTICAL  BACK UPS-- HENCE THE 15 ROOSTERS IN MY CAR AT 4AM.... BUT THAT WSS NOT THE END....  I DON'T THINK THERE ARE 15 ROOSTERS IN ALL OF NEW ENGLAND-- THEY ARE NOT NECESARY TO HAVE EGGS- AND TEHY ARE NOISY -- SO BANNED FROM MOST  NEW ENGLAND COMMUNITIES...  I HAD TO IMPORT FROM TEH CHICK PRODUCING COMPANIES IN MINNESOTTA-- OR SOMEWHERE LIKE THAT... NOR IS THAT THE END.... BECAUSE  THE  UNION OF TEAMSTERS IN  BOSTON HAD GIVEN THE FILM INDUSTRY SUCH A HARD TIME HIRING UNNESSARRY  DRIVERS.. THE FILM CREW WAS HERE TO DO ALL THE EXTERNAL SHOTS OF HARVARD-- AND WERE MOVING TO TORONTO FOR TH E REST OF THE MOVIE...  THESE ROOSTERS HAD TO BE READY TO TRAVEL....WITH FOOD AND WATER ETC.... POULTRY IN INTERNATIONAL TRAVEL MUST BE TESTED AND CARRY "PAPERS" TO PROVE THEY ARE NOT CARRYING SOME DISEASE OR ANOTHER...  15  DEPT OF AGGI CERTIFICATES  SO THEY WOOLD HAVE PAPERS ON WHATEVER 3 ROOSTERS THEY CHOSE TO TAKE TO TORONTO...   NOR IS THAT THE END... BEING SOFT HEARTED, I HAD A POLICY  TO BE AWARE OF THE FACT THT THESE ANIMALS  HAD JUST MADE MOENY FOR ME, I COULD NOT JUST TOSS THEM IN THE CHARLES RIVER...  SO AS I DROVE HOME, I PASSED MANY HORSE STABLES--- PEOPLE I KNEW  PRETTY WELL,-- SO I STOPPED IN TO BE SOCIABLE-- AND JUST BEFORE I LEFT, I MANAGED TO TURN ONE ROOSTER LOOSE IN THEIR BARN WITHOUT BEING SEEN... 11 WERE "RE-HOMED" THAT WAY... THE LAST ENDED UP ON A "FARM" THAT BOASTED OF HAYWAGON RIDES THRU APPLE ORCHARDS..  THEY NEVER KNEW....  UNTIL NOW IF THEY READ THIS... ************** THAT WAS VERY CLOSELY RELATED TO THE PEACOCK STORY---   BEFORE PARTRIDGEBERRY DEVELOPEMENT NEXT DOOR, I HAD A COLLECTION OF PEACOCKS-- LEFT OVER FROM SOME NBC JOB OR ANOTHER---  I HAD 2 FEMALES IN A SMALLER VERSION OF THE WHITE "G-TENT"    AND SEVERAL MALES THAT FLEW AROUND THE YARD LIKE DRUNKEN 747'S-- THEY RARELY ROAMED MOST OFTEN FOUND ON SOME HIGH PITCHED ROOF-- OR TREE.. SCREAMING WHAT SOUNDS LIKE "HELP" ( WHEN I GOT THEM , I WARNED THE IPSWICH OPLICE ABOTUTHE SCCREAMING FOR HELP BIT...)-- AFTER 40 OF  MY CHICKENS DISAAPEARED  ONE NIGHT WITHOUT A FEATHER LEFT BEHIND, I WAS AFRAID THE  "INTERNTONAL FRAMING CARPENTERS"  NEXT DOOR MIGHT MAKE A  BBQ PARTY WIHT MY PEACOCKS NEXT...  SO THEY HAD TO GO... I HAD HEARD ABOUT HTE MOST EXCLUSIVE GOLF COURSE OPENING UP IN IPSWICH "TURNER HILL"  AND THEIR  LOGO INVOLVED A PEACOCK....  SO I HAD LUNCH ONE DAY WITH MY SON IN LAW WHO WAS OPERATING HEAVY MACHINERY TO BUILD THE GOLF COURSE....  TURNER HILL NOW HAS PEACOCKS FOR REAL...  THEY ARE WILD ANIMALS... IN INDIA. FYI---- IN CASE YOU EVER HAVE TO CATCH A PEACOCK,  YOU WOULD NATURALLY GRAB FOR  THE  BIRD WHERE THOSE LONG FEATHERS MEET THE BIRD'S RUMP...-- AT WHICH TIME ALL THOSE BIG BEAUTIUL FEATHERS AND 47 MILLION TINY FLYFFY ONES WILL COME OUT IN YOUR HAND AND A TINY LITTLE CHICKEN  WILL RUNN OFF AND FLY. AWAY. THOSE FEATHERS AE NATUALL LOST EVERY AUGUST.  AND ARE VERY STURDY----.. Carlene, 

Dale, Dolly and I have been doing a little traveling. In our travels we came to TN and we're able to go to Dollywood. One of the shows they do, is with Dolly's Parton's family members. They sat us right at the base of the stage for the show so we that had extra room. After the show, Several of Dolly's Parton's "kin" came down to meet us (well actually Dolly, I just get to hang with her 😉).

It gave us the opportunity to share with them all about SDP and give out business cards. It was an awesome experience and we were so glad to be able to brag about SDP and all you guys do. We encouraged them to get into the website and look around. Explaining all the different areas on the site. 

You would have been so proud of her, she did wonderful. There were so many distractions, noises and people. She was a champ!

i struggle---i can not understsnd where/what i am missing....( aside from a memory - short or long) 

i had had an after dinner nap and decidedd to watch SNL

 i laughted  at   xxx riding the  white house  breifing room podium thru traffic  for sat night live-- and i marveled at the make up crew that transxxxxx her into him.... and who figured out that she even resembled him before being transxxxxx by the make up departyment....

i knew i had trouble finding SNL in the past-- so i went so far as to look up which network it would be on... and my trusty computer said NBC-

i hade heard of NBC a few times before....it was/is  one of teh biggies in boston...  channel 4-- right there between ch 3 and ch 5--  however a few years ago- for whatever reason...ch 7 became NBC  with one flip of a switch... and i remember one of the vp's of ch 7- who's bulldog i had often borrowed for the mac truck commercials...... was thrilled to "be able to sell the advertising around all the great NBC shows.

it did not take me more than 18 months to remember NBC was now ch 7... their checks were good after several peacock episodes.. i had that down pat... send teh bill to ch 7.... got it....

i really had not thought about the 4/7  switch until last night ... when after cnn's "shades of america" show -- great show with that huge commedian   with hair that looks like he's been struck by lightning-- it was time for sat night live-----SNL   11:30   

please.....i want  someone to tell me where my logic went wrong.....

not remembering which channel, i went to this trusty computere and it clearly told me SNL  was on NBC

back to bed...NBC is/was ch 7---  or so i thiught-- not this night -- it was broadcasting cake baking   ---not havirng any faith in my ability to remember, i tried ch 4 on the odd chance that NBC had decideed to switch  as it had once before...  no dice...it was on the great wall of china...

apparently verizon cable had a different number for nbc---

back to this computer--- verizon---"what channel is NBC?"---

"where?  ---  new york, or san antonio?  add your zip..."  all this was  beginning to blow my mind.... 

and i have certainly misseed the opning of SNL  so i added 01938

verizon said  boston  NBC was ch 14-- or 514

with great anticipation to have sollved the mystery.... i rush back to my room- and teh remote was dead

luckily the overflow room has a supply of a lot of things... including batteries--

change the batteries-- push 14 -- and the Tv tells me i am not allowed to watch this channel

i tried 514-- and i can't watch that one either... unless i call verizon...888-

how come???? please....

i shut off the offending machine....

but i am not quitting !!

luckily last night bud told me he does not stay up that late and watches it on youtube, xxxxxxx, or yyyyyyy

i will now cut this short and try to find  SNL  wherever they are hiding it..

i am not quitting.... a good laugh  is invaluable..

QUICK DOGGIE TODAY 

to all of you people who had all sorts of " findings'" as to why the pups had no worms... back off... the first reason was that grace did not give them the meds-- however she has now done that... and we are getting the usuall vermicelli spagetti...

 worms in pups are "normal"  and th new meds to treat them are not the messy loose stool bit they were when i was a kid. they get them... God gives pups  roundworms...-- the med is cheap-- just do it and don't get twisted up trying to figure out how---- couple times before 5 months is our rule.... then go to the  beneric wworming of all the others  they can get... we use "all wormer"  from austrailia--- they don't sell it in the usa... and teh service dog outfits in australia swear by it......(petsmegastore)

this is going  to be a rough day-- i had to throw out 2 monkeyfists already because i forgot to put in the marble.... how sidetracked can i get???

also i could not wear my usual "uniform" of bluejeans... consequently no pockets to carry my usual-pocket contents... so i have on  one of the fishermans vests someone sent long ago...   they are nice  in some cases....

they are now selling a fashionable vest tor normal people -- with a bunch of pockets-- like for travelers...

i am not doing well with the grass--- what i did spread so carefully at 6 seeds to the inch --got washed into  crevices leaving bald spots-- i cut the field yeserday .. and almost spread some more-- luckily i didn't because i hear we are due for 3 inches of rain before monday...  that will do it again...  when that field is a nice smooth green it is lovely to look at with the dogs running...  the fertalizer we spread is working well... we have teh biggest , most prolific dandelions i have ever seeen...  what the hheck-- they are usually green.  all these perfect golf courses with no dandelions just reek of chemicals--   we certainly can not be confused with anyone who spreads dandelion killer...  after all we ofetn plant small yellow flowering plants right next to where we have been trained to think the others are bad...

i remember.......way back in the 1940's my mother was  all riled up about people importing the "purple loostrife"  she was sure it would wipe out all the lovely blue wildflower  which she preferred -  she was right--- we now have fields of pretty purple ---where nothing else has a chance of growing.  we even have some here on the island  where we can nnot reach it.( because of the inhabitants of the isnald.... snakes.....)

and teh saga of my quest  for the roast beef of my childhood days..... the 7 pound rib roast  that cooked in one hour in that convection oven.... ann

suggested i reheat at 200 degrees to just heat it withouft cooking it...  and that seemed to work.

darn... i did not win publisher's clearing house-- whatta difference that would make !!  well some anyway... we could at least pave the driveway to the t tent--- not gonna happen..    we are paving to the electric gate... and we can bounce around  the potholes  after that... $20k.....and the next $5000 will be to straighten out the topsoil manufacturing  department  once called horse/donkey pastures...  those pointy feet , and   poo piles, watered regularly by runn off from the arena roof are  making black dirt/ onion growing topsoil  that is  150x 8 feet--18" deep... every 6 months...

so we will have to pay someone to straighten that out.... again...  ouR tractor will just not keep up-- another option is to have the big tractor carry all the goop up the hill and spread it at the top, seed it... and pray it doesn't all wash down hill againn before the vegitation keeps it there...

after all that , we should look good -- especially if all the grass grows that i hve so carefuly spread 6 seeds to the inch, like the old vermont farmenr taught me to do...  there is a way- of gtrabbing a handfull and flinging it from your right side to center front- distributing it over you index finger and takeing one step forward... you never adjust your manner of throwing due to the wind, you adjust where you walk when there is a breeze- done ringht it is better than any spreadder i have seen-- of course i have not seen many spreadders since i learned how to do this.

i suppose there is a mythbuster way of opening the bag of seed in front of a leaf blower-- which might work?????

(they did a stick of dynomite in a bucket of Paint in a closed room--- which did not paint the entire room....  but was good fun)

bud-- read the directions to my  car jumper starter--- if he did actually get it charged back to full, it will continue to be wondeerful--  the size of a  "thick" cell phone, it jumped my car 3 times before dying..  it is a critical piece of equipment i have-- why does my relatively new car constantly drain the battery???? good question... good answer is "tall dogs"    they bang their heads on teh ceiliing light, which due to some fantastic "ON" switching device designed by someone who makes $120,000 a year i am sure,   the guy who  designs teh auto "off" switch  took a year off to study garlic farms in india..... much to the joy of the car battery/jumper cable manufacturing devisio.

bud reads....i can read too... but not like he does... he reads and understands what he reads... i read mostly to get thru the words smoneone told me i had to read..-- like high school history class..--had nothing to do with remmembering what you read...  and it doesn't get any better as you age...  to th epoint now  where if i read the whole  long  sentance i have to go back and figure out what the frist part said...- boy tht slows up progress in reading directions in umbrella  installation  ( which we did yesterday at mail call...) we didn't even pull out the directions...just get a hammer-- and if that doesn't work, get a bigger hammer.

Next jab at  manufacturing-- and this is really an invention which is already invented...just no one is thinking--- how many sheets of paper would be savec by reducing the margins on  every printer to 1/4 inch..

just think--- no more "this pagre intentionally left blank"--- every notice i get from  medicare ( which is far to many already) there is a "last page" of about 3 lines

every time you get a mass mailing  put a circle around what you really need to read.... and think.... if paper for mass mailing came in a roll... and cut off the page 1/4 inch after the printed line just think....

it might take more to build the printers, but the printer people wouldn't care-..  they can give away printers  and get wealthy on ht ink anyaay

TAKE IT ALL OUT-- WHICH WILL INCLUDE TH HUGE CHAIR  WHICH WILL GO BETWEEN THT ICE HOUSE AND THE TEEPEE- ---PEOPLE DO LIKE TO TAKE THEIR PICTURES WITH A DOG IN THAT CHAIR... LILLY TOMLIN STYLE....

SET UP MY LOVELY AMISH TABLES --- I DUNNO WHAT WE WILL DO WITH THE REST...

BUT WE WILL TRY...

THE VERY BACK OF THE G-TENT  IS SUPPOSED TO HAVE 2 "TABLES" --- NOT TO BE CONFUSED WITH WORK TALBLES.... BUT AT LEAST PROJECT TABLES.... IT IS THIS AREA WHICH CAN GET OUT OF CONTROL...  THE "LATER" CRAFTS   LIKE  WE HAVE A HUGE COLLECTIO OF 4X4' CARDBOARD  WHICH COMES WITHTEH WONDERFUL PALLETS OF PURINA DOG FOOD... AND ALSO THEY HAE A VERY HIGH QUALITY PALLET ALSO.. SO THOSE HAVE BEEN STACKED...  LATER WE INTEND TO USE THEM FOR SOMETHING... FURNATURE YOU SAY?  GO AHEAD --- HAVE AT IT..  I AM GLAD I NEVER BOUGHT THE PLANNER TO SMOOTH OUT HT E  PALLET WOOD...

FIRST WOW... PUPPIES WORMED AT 4 WEEKS... AND SO FAR TODAY...NO WORMS....( I THOUGHT YOU'D BE THRILLED..)

THEY ARE COMING ALONG WITH THE BABY FOOD EATING/ SPOON   THEY ARE GOING THRU NEARLY A JAR OF  CHICKEN AND SWEET POTATOES--- A PUP A DAY...WE HAVE 5 CASES   AT 12 A CASE---  THAT IS 5 DAYS WORTH  BUT WHO'S COUNTING?  I WILL SWITCH TO PURINA CANS OF THAT SAVOOR  CHICKEN AND  RICE  IF WE RUN OUT...

 SECOND  WOW..... a 7 pound rib roast in one hour in that convection oven... no wonder we were burning things...  glad i bought the meat thermometer...

today i might  dig out the slicing machine someone gave us in the old ays of cutting up dog food beef...  it is a beautiful thing... and around somewhere...

the g- tent is lovely --  8 PEOPLE FROM  Novartis group,CAME AND CARRIED LUGGED ANS STACKED...  totally devoid of trash  and valuable trash..  we still have some away-putting to do...  but we need to decide... just where will tHe workshop be?  and the dumpster???--  the dump trailer is working very well---   there are still  dump loads' to get back to ground level...  

behind the arena...speciality bent cheap chairs... AND PIPES..
