TEH TUFT'S VOLUNTEERS WERE SUPER ROCK ROLLERS YESTERDAY-- I FIGURE WE MOVED AVOUT 3 TONS OF SLIGHTLY BIG STONES-- ABOUT 1 TO 2 FEET IN DIAMETER...  THERE WAS A COLLECTION UP ON DONKEY HILL THAT WAS NOT HOLDING DONKEY HILL IN PLACE SO TUFTS ROLLED TEHM DOWN SO I COULD CARRY THEM IN THE TRACTOR TI THE =NEW DRIVEWAY  WHERE THERE IS A BANK IN NEED...THEY WERE GOOD SPORTS AS I SMILED AND CHEERED THEM ON FROM THE A/C COMFORT OF THE TRACTOR CAB...

THERE WAS A SECOND GROUP WHO WENT AROUND AND MEASURED EVERY GATE ON TEH PROPERTY-- BECAUSE VERY FEW OF THEM ARE SUITABLE FOR THE OPENING  THEY ARE SUPPOSED TO "GATE" ---- THEY GAVE ME THE LIST AND LOCATION OF 29 GATES- SOME ARE JUST INTENTIONAL GATES AND ARE LEANERS JUST WAITING FOR A CALL TO SERVICE.  SO MANY OF THESE ARE PUT IN PLACE-- TOO LARGE --- JUST AWKWARD-- BUT THERE ARE A FEW  TO WHICH WE HAVE ADDED A PIECE OF PLYWOOD AS A DOG DEFLECTOR. .. PLUS A FEW WITH THE ODD BEND- THAT NEED TO BE JUMPED ON...

WE HAVE A GROUP  OF 25   BLACKROCK EMPLOYEES  ASKING TO COME VOLUNTEER ON JULY 31-- ALWAYS A CHALLANGE TO FIGURE OUT WHAT A LARGE GROUP CAN DO-- I WOULD LOVE TO  GIVE THEM THIS  GATE  LIST- BUT I THINK I MIGHT BE BEYOND ANYONE WHO IS NOT INVOLVED WITH  WHO GOES WHERE AND WHY,

.... LIKE GOATS-- WHICH WE NOW HAVE 2 OF.... ONE SKINNEY, ONE EXCEEDINGLY FAT AND/ OR PREGNANT...

CAN BE SEEN ON THE DONKEY CAMERA-- SO FAR WE HAVE DETERMINED THEY WILL SCOOT THRU ANY AVAILABLE OPENING  BUT THEN JUST STAND- OR FOLLOW SOMEONE AROUND  WITHOUT THE INSTINCT TO  HIT THE ROAD-- LIKE MO...

TO THAT COLLECTION OF DONKEYS WAS ADDED A NICE LOOKING   RIDING SIZE MULE WHICH APPARENTLY WAS SOMEONE'S PET- AND DOES NOT LIKE BEING BEHIND A FENCE.

THE SWAPPING AROUND OF ALL THAT LIVESTOCK LEFT ME- WITH ONE TOO MANY TRAILERS IN THE YARD. WHICH MEANT   WITH  RECIPIENTS IN BOTH THE GUEST HOUSE AND TRAINING ROOM  THERE  WAS ONE OTHER DRIVER  PERSON SLEPT SOMEWHERE AS YET UNKNOWN TO ME;-- OUR LAUNDRY BUILDING HAS 2 BIG COUCHES-- HOPEFULLY THAT IS WHERE... BECAUSE BY THE TIME I GOT ROUND TO FIGURING  OUT, WHO  DROVE THAT TRAILER,  THE TRAILER.. WITH TEXAS PLATES WAS GOING DOWN THE DRIVEWAAY.  THE TEXAS TRAILER IS ONE JANINE USES TO BRING EQUINES HERE FROM THE SLAUGHTER PENS AND THE DRIVER KNOWS SHE CAN CRASH HERE.. SOMEWHERE...  MORE SHIPS PASSING IN THE NIGHT....

SOUNDS LIKE  A LOOSE ARRAINGEMENT- WHICH -IT ALMOST IS.... I AM HAPPY TO LET THEM CRASH-- THEY ARE WELL BEHAVED  WORKING  PEOPLE..

 WHICH BRINGS TO MIND...... WORKING---- THIS IS NOT A PETTING ZOO WHERE YOU COME AND ENJOY THE ANIMALS AND SIT AROUND PETTING THEM -- WITHOUT SO MUCH AS PICKING UP  HAY STRING,  SWEEPING OR RAKING.

AS I HAVE SAID MANY TIMES THERE ARE DARN FEW PEOPLE WHO CAN NOT HELP SOMEHOW. IF YOU ARE ONE OF THOSE PEOPLE  THEN  ENJOY !  HOWEVER WHEN I COME TO AN ABLE BODIED VISITOR JUST SITTING PATTING TEH DONKEYS OR DOGS FOR AN HOUR- TALKING TO AN EMPLYOEE  WHO IS TRYING TO BE POLITE  WHILE WORKING -  I GET FRUSTRATED IF THEY ARE TOTALLY UNAWARE- THE FLOOR WOULD LOOK BETTER IF THEY SWEPT IT- IR EVEN PICK UP THE HAY STRING THAT MISSED TEH BARREL.   SCOOTER KAREN IS A GOOD  HELPFUL EXAMPLE-- WHEN SHE IS HERE , I KNOW THERE WILL NOT BE ANY BITS OF PAPER LEFT OVER NUMBERS FROM SHATTING ...  OR PLASTIC TYE WRAPS TOSSED IN TEH DRIVEWAY-- SHE PICKS THEM UP AS SHE WANDERS...YESTERDAY I CAME TO  SOMEONE  DOING NOTHING...  SO I MADE A FEW SUGGESTIONS.

26 -17 IS NOT VERY MANY DAYS TIL GABBY SHOUDL BE "COOKIN" -- WITH SIZZLE 3 DAYS BEHIND HER..-  IAM SURE SIZ IS PREGNANT-- BUT I HAVEN'T HEARD FROM LYNN ABOUT GABBY-- I ASSUME ALL IS NORMAL OR LYNN WOULD HAVE SAID SOMETHING-- THIS IS NOT LYNN'S FIRST RODEO.. *** LIVESTOCK REPORT....  GOATS-- OR NO GOATS- THAT IS THE QUESTION- I HAVE NOT SEEN ANY YET-  BUT I HAVE SEEN  A FEW OF THOSE DARK BROWN PILLS THEY PRODUCE---HOPEFULLY THEY ARE AROUND SOMEWHERE- 2 LARGE DONKEYS SEEM TO HAVE BEEN MOVED INTO HTE STALL WITH CAMERA-SOUNDS LIKE A JANINE PROJECT.. I KNOW SHE HAS THOSE BIG MULES ( MO AND FRANK) SOMEWHERE BECASUE SHE WAS LOADING SOME HAY  IN TEH TRAILER YESTERDAY------LIKE SHIPS THAT PASS IN THE NIGHT.... I AM TOLD WE ARE DOWN TO 6 GUINNEA HENS-- BUT ONE IS SITTING ON EGGS *** WE HAVE A WIDER DRIVEWAY NOW--- IT WILL BE POSSIBLE TO KEEP THE TRAILERS IN " THE PARKING PIT"- NOT EASILY REMOVED, BUT POSSIBLE...  THE GUY WHO OPERATES THAT EXCAVATOR IS DARN GOOD AT IT... HE OPERATED THA Machine on a hillside i would never attempt with our back hoe--and put  our  second manure pile  up on the hill---meaning in a year  it will cover teh hill with green stuff which if mowed regularly will resemble grass????  I WATCHED AS HE SORTED ROCKS AND STRIPPED  THOSE AWFUL VINES OFF TREES-- HE HAS LEFT AN AREA WE CAN NOW "DRESS UP" WITH OUR TRACTOR.. IT ALSO MEANS I SHOULD GO GET--- AND PAY FOR-- SOME OF THE HORSE MANURE I DROPPED OFF AT BRICKENDS  COMPOSTING PLACE.. crazy acres is just big enough to need a huge excavator about once a year for  "improvements". and misc chores   not sure how-- but we ended up with 2 big rocks  near teh ice house that i could not  pick up- and only shoved around to get out of the way  as teh way keeps expanding.. dog fest approacheth... and once i get all the tractors and traqilers  out of the way- we should have room for tab,les abnd chairs???  that is the next job... but not for a few days--  i am  told it will be hot. keeping all teh dogs hydrrated and  comfortable will be a full time job. *** question...  how come i have not seen any news about that personal flying device that france  introduced a few days ago--  thaT IS SOME KIND OF  SIGNIFICANT INVENTION ... IN MY OPINION...

ONE UPS MAN SHIP-  GOTTA HAND IT TO THE FRENCH WITH THE AIRBORNE SEGWAY aT THEIR BASTIELE DAY PARADE----DID ANYONE EVEN KNOW THAT WAS COMING???  I HAVE SEEN MANY COMICAL ATTEMPTS ON THE SCIENCE CHANNEL- BUT NOTHING THAT APROACHES A SERIOUS ATTEMPT to personal flight...AND TEH GUY DID NOT SEEM TO HAVE ANY  TREMENDOUS QUANTITY OF PARAPHNALIA STRApped to him-- kind of stood on a box...

now for my other science episode-- new york had a power outage-- and  casually said there will be more...- well.... minus a physical interuption of wires down... teh biggest problem is air conditioning- i don't have a clue how thie national grid goes together.. what i am worried about is all those big cities in teh northeast being around 90 degrees- and those huge buildings 100% air conditioned.-- i am going to have to put  riding in elevators in teh same catagory as california's earthquakes and new orleans mississippi level being many feet higher than the streets.... things i would just rather not do. ( these floating hotels are an absolute no-- even rowboats are questionable)

so when the power fails...... a spray bottle's fine mist does amazingly well for humans and dogs.......especially if ther eis a breeze...

volunteering and regardless of what your disability is-- there is always someone worse off  you might be able to help....

case in point---- guy came here for a visit---he had several strokes- affecting one sidee pretty severely--  and he can not volunteer here on n tuesdays because  it is bridge day-

-" oh you play bridge?"---

 "no  i hold the cards  in my one good hand--- for someone who can not hold them at all."

i ask alot of people if tehy voluntteer -- and i am happy to say-- most people do something... but that guy takes the cake.... and gives me a great  answer  when someone says "i can't volunteer, i am disabled" ..  i am not supposed to put peop le in groups- but 

there is a "can't"  group and a  "can do but" -- you know atttacking doctors is well within my capabilities and experiences--  far too often---teh doctor  gives you a diagnosis in latin -- to make it sound like they went to doctor school--- and then tells you what you can not do. i think next time i hear  teh i can't.... , i may get on the  band wagon.. "lets make a list of what you can do" 

ok... commonly said... 

**" i don't want you to work for 3 weeks"---doctors  will say that to a librarian with a sore toe ... rreason???  if i don't say that and your toe  gets worse you might sue me.

*** workmans comp will pay you for 17.5 days as long as they don't catch you doing what you said you can not do.." 

**  similarly ---teh VA--  really obscene rule "i need to be paid under teh table  because  if the VA finds out i am working-- i loose my benefits which i am supposed to get for teh permanent  damage to me... " 

so the VA is not reimbursing you for the damage  it has caused -- that damage remains constant altho i might argue  it  is less dominant if  someone works... 

.... the guy holding the cards is gainfully employed regardless of how the cards are played by someone else.. ?????  

i could cure 43% of teh unemployment in this country by outlawing teh expression " your call is important to us" meanwhile rescuing the rest of us from the hours spent on hold listening to dreadful sounds which could hardly be called music.

this huge problem rests somewhere between the insurance and medical professions

? how did insurance get to be a profession???

BULLDOZERS ARE HERE-- SHORT DOGGIE..    WIDEN THE DRIVEWAY AND MOVE AROUND SOME "VERY FERTILE SOIL"  PRODUCED BY OUR VERY PROLIFIC FERTILE SOIL PRODUCEERS.. 

COUPLE BRIEF NOTES-- NOW THAT I CAN SEE AND HEAR  THE CAMERAS ALL NIGHT IF I HAPPEN TO BE AWAKE--  I GOT ALL EXCEITD TO NOTICE ALL THE DONKEYS WER LYING ON THIER  RIGHT SIDES   AND I WONDERED???  THEN ABOT 3AM THE BIRDS MADE SO MUCH NOISE I HAD TO SHUT OFF THE SOUND AT MY END -- AND ALSO  ALL THE DONKEY GOT UP AND WENT OUT AND CAME BACK IN IN ABOUT 10 MINUTES....

I AM THINKING THEY ALL WENT OUT TO  MOVE THIER BOWELS- AND BOY WOULD THAT BE AN INTERESTING DISCOVERY !!!   COULD IT BE  THE HORSES  THAT ARE NOT HOUSE BROKEN  ?????  I KNOW  MARY ( THAT PERFECT DONKEY OF YEARS GONE BY..)  WQS EXTREMELY TIDY-- HAD 3 PLACES ON THE PROPERTY WHERE SHE WOUDL MAKE A DEPOSIT...

AS OF 5AM TODAY THERE WAS  ONLY CLEAR4 SHAVINGS SHOWING IN THE  STALL....   WOW !!!!

  EMAIL PANIC OF THE DAY..... GABBEY IS NOT THE PREGNANT GABBEY DANE WHO IS DUE HERE SOON TO HAVE PUPS IN 2 WEEKS  BUT A PERSON GABBEY WITH SERVICE DOG  THOR.   

SO THIS JUST HAPPENED. I CAN’T BELIEVE I DID IT. GABBEY AND #THOR ARE ON A JET. EVERYTHING WENT AMAZINGLY SMOOTH AND SHE CALLED SAID THEY LANDED AND IT WENT GREAT. KEEP PRAYING Y’ALL! WITHOUT THOR GABBEY WOULDN’T HAVE OR EVEN BEEN ABLE TO DO THIS AMAZING OPPORTUNITY. THANK YOU #SERVICEDOGPTOJECT FOR THIS AMAZING BLESSING IN GABBEY’S LIFE. SHE TOLD ME LAST NIGHT WHEN GOING TO BED THAT SHE IS SO HAPPY AND MUCH MORE CONFIDENT IN LIFE BECAUSE SHE HAS THOR BY HER SIDE, EMOTIONALLY AND PHYSICALLY.

pair of clydesdales got hitched yesterday--- i would have loved to have them 20 years ago, but they really are beyond my capabilities now.. start with picking up the harness off the floor, let along getting it up and over their backs.   I DID HEAR RUMORS OF JANINE HAD SOMEONE INTERESTED IN HAVING THE PAIR OF TEHM   ---- mo is still aROUND--  I THINK AT MERIDITH FARM WHERE THERE ARE HUGE FIELDS OF GRASS.. THERE IS A DETAIL OF  GETTING WATER TO THEM  TOTING WATER INVOLVES A SLOSH EFFECT--- THINGS LIKE SUNAMI WAVES- APPARENTLY IT IS POSSIBLE TO BACK UP TO THE FIELD-- AND MY EXP[ERTIOSE OF SIPHONING  MAY COME IN  HANDY-- I CERTAINLY DON'T MIND BACKING UP TO OUR HOSE AND SIPHONEING INTO THEIR WATER TROUGH... IT IS THE 2 MILES TRAVEL BETWEEN THAT CAN BE EXCITING.

I REMEMBER..... DID YOU DOUBT I HAVE A STORY CONNETTED TO WATER TRANSPORT???? WHEN THE HOUSE BURNED THAT NEW YEARS EVE LONG AGO--- I HAD ?14 HOURSES IN TEH BARN AND THE HOUSE WAS MY SOURCE OF WATER- THAT IS AN ABSOLUTE IMMEDIATE PROBLEM I HAD MAYBE 3 HOURS TO GET THAT SOLVED..-- WHICH WAS A BRAND NEW 55 GALLON DRUM IN THE BACK OF A SHORT PICKUP - INTERNATIONAL HARVESTER---  WHICH I FILLED AT THE NEIGHBORS AND SIPHONED INTO WATER BUCKETS FOR TEH HORSES.. WITH THE HELP OF MY SMALL CHILDREN...-- LIKE4-5 YEAR OLD GWEN AND JANINE...

ALL WAS WELL AND GOOD UNTIL THE DAY I DID NOT USE ALL THE WATER QUICKLY ENOUGH AND ENDED UP WITH A 55 GALLON BLOCK OF ICE-- WEIGHING QUITE A BIT- SLIDING AROUND DURING QUICK STOPS, AND UPHILL ACCELLERATIONS-- I THINK IT WAS A BLOW TORCH THAT GOT IT LOOSE ENOUGH TO TIP IT OUT SO I COULD USE IT..

 FOR OUR ACCREDITATION -- WE HAVE TO HAVE EMERGENCY PREPARATIONS... I WONDER WHAT THEY THINK ARE EMERGENCIES.    SOME OF THE  ONES I HAVE HAD ARE THINGS FOR WHICH THERE IS REALLY NO PREPARATION.  FULL TANK OF GAS IN MY CAR- AND ALOT OF CAFFENATED COFFEE  IS ABOUT AS FAR AS I CAN BE PREPARED.

I HAVE ALWAYS THOUGHT A HAND PUMP- OLD FASHION TYPE- ON A WELL WOULD BE AN INTERESTING AND USEFUL THING TO HAVE BUT THERE IS NOT A PLACE ON THIS 12 ACRES THAT IS FAR ENOUGH FROM MANURE PILES, WASHING MACHINE DRY WELLS AND SEPTIC SYSTEMS-- THIS PLACE IS USED... BIG TIME;

ONE OTHER STORY I ALWAYS THOUGHT WAS FUNNY...  THE USUAL WAY OF WATERING THE HORASES IN LYNNFIELD WAS TO RUN THE HOSE FROM THE TACK ROOM  TO THE INDIVIDUAL STALLS... THIS WAS A TWICE DAILY THING... STARTED WITH ME ON THE OUTFLOW END-- AND GWEN ON THE  ON -OFF LEVER/HANDLE-AND THEN JANINE GOT TO BE ? 3 OR 4---  THERE IS A PICTURE AND SHE IS NOT MUCH OLDER THAN 4- AND SHE GOT TO BE TEH ON /OFF PERSON AND GWEN  TEH HOSE CARRIER SCREAMING ON  AND OFF AT TEH APPROPRATE MOMENTS  AND ONCE IN A WHILE IT WAS LOUDLY--" JANINE  OFF OFF  OFF OFF...MOMMY HELP..." 

 IN HER BOOK, SHE TALKS ABOUT GRADUATING  FROM THE ON /OFF POSITION TO  THE FAR MORE PRESTIGIOUS HOSE END AS A VERY SIGNIFICANT  MOMENT IN HER LIFE.

ANIMAL CARE DOES DEMAND A ROUTINE FROM WHICH THERE IS NO ESCAPING-- WHICH IS WHY WHEN I WAS IN THE POSITION OF HIRING HELP FOR THE "WANT AD"-  I  SPECIFICALLY HIRED PEOPLE WITH ANIMALS- IT IS ALSO WHY-- FACED WITH A   WHOLE SUMMER WITH MY 2 KIDS AND 6 OR 8 MORE NEIGHBORHOOD KIDS- I  INITIATED 7AM  AS A FLAG RAISING CEREMONY- IN PREP FOR CIRCUS PRACTICE.  GET UP AND GET GOING. -- ACTUALLY  IT GOT  THE BUNCH OF KIDS TO FEED AND WATER THESE 14 OR SO  HORSES WE STILL HAD IN THE BARN.

I HAVE OFTEN SAID  COLLEGE DID REINFORCE THE KNOWLEDGE THAT 4AM ON A  SPECIFIC TUESDAY  HAPPENS ONLY ONCE  .  THAT WAS A LOT OF MONEY  TO SPEND ON WHAT CAN ALSO  BE TAUGHT BY  4-H....OR MIKE ROWE.

Three volunteers from our local Pets In Need organization  paid a visit this afternoon to the long-term care facility where I am a patient due to crippling arthritis.  They brought with them three little dogs that we got to hold!!!  

I told them about SDP and that you take SDP Service Dogs to visit nursing homes, and how important that is.  That's one of the greatest things you do!!!  You have no idea what a difference it makes in the lives of we who are "incarcerated" in care institutions!!!  :)

PAPERWORK WILL BE MY  PROVERBIAL STRAW.... APPARENTLY IN SCOTS BOOK --- knot  today-- A good read-- ---WE/?I GOT RECORDS TWISTED...

-- THERE ARE VERY FEW TIMES WE HAVE TAKEN A DOG BACK BECAUSE IT JUST IS NOT BONDING TO THE NEW OWNER - FOR WHATEVER REASON... 

 IN HIS BOOK.... THERE WAS A  "RETURNED" DOG KEPT IN A CAGE AT NIGHT-- WE ( PAUL)  DID GO PICK IT UP- - CROSS COUNTRY YET-- THE STORY IS TRUE...  HOWEVER...--  IT WAS NOT THE SAME DOG THAT SCOT HAS... I  AM SORRY OUR RECORDS APPARENTLY GOT TWISTED.  MY APOLOGIES FOR TEH ERROR-- IT WAS PROBABLY MINE.

TODAY'S PANIC-- WORDS LIKE " PLEASE HUNKER DOWN IN PLACE"-- DO NOT BELONG IN THE SAME NEWS CAST AS "FEET(plural)  OF RAIN"  "new orleans is a city in a bowl" -- "questionable levey"   i could never do "hunker" in that situation... there is entirely too much upstream from new orleans fior me to be comfortable there-- even without "and there might be tornados" so casually tossed out by some sugar coated,  high and dry weather reporter. the concept of a foot of water all over---- rushing to pile up somewhere else terrifies me.  ..... army corp of engineers  proudly gave a packaged speech about  how the pumps were capable of handling  1 inch in teh first hour and 1/2 inch per hour after that- he apparently had not heard teh "dumping 4 inches an hour"  speech given by teh weatehr bunch...

    made me remmember --- a piece of advice i often had from my father "BE SURE TO DRINK UPSTREAM FROM THE HERD" "

yesterdays  pequiliar observation involved.. home depot--  i took a pup (100 pound pup)  with me for training-- sizzle is giving me teh "maybe not today" look--  dogs in training  often need just siting around with minimal excitement--i got my 4 ubolts and made for teh contractors desk. --- teh cashier knows me well-- so do the men behind the desk- with whom i have had a few run-in's-   "this reg is for contractors, not women with lists" " oh? sorry, let me get the store manager to see if they can help me get some 2 x 6's " - he is not there anymore---however today  i needed 4 2x6x8' and 4 2x6x10'  to try and get the harness hung straight in "buds world" --  i actually didn't mind sitting because that is what the dog needed that i had with me.- they gave ma a chair-  sitting with my eyes at counter top level... i was immediately struck by teh number of arms covered with tattoos-- so i counted--- of teh eleven men going thru, ther e was one older man with normal arms-- the other 10 had hardly any normal skin showing. 

next--- There was a  customer with a little dog- dragging a leash-- running around.. my pup  with service dog vest---

 was lying still and stayed that way.---  --  the guy said "my dog's friendly " -- 

 i said --- quickly and INCORRECTLY ----" do you know there is an $11,000 fine for upsetting a service dog?" .....that  guy needed training....he then picked up the leash and kept the dog with him. ---

i am bad...... but  desperate times deserve desperate measures.....

"may  i pat your dog?"

"please don't"

"why-- does he bite?"

"no he spits" .

why would a person ask "why?"  i could have said a whole bunch of a lot more spectacular things...

The weather finally let up with the extreme heat today so we where outside. I forgot Pixie’s home harness inside I take it off when she plays outside cause when she plays with RugerDuke sometimes he will bite at it. Well I was beginning to stumble on the grass and Pixie  was having no part in this. No harness no vest. She stopped her play time which she was enjoying as soon as I said “tight” she came flying over to me got up tight my left side my week side and braces so I could hang on. She was glued to me all the way back to the house to where we where back in the house. 

As soon as we got in I told her how proud of her I was of her and she looked at me with her beautiful eyes like mom I’m just doing my job and I love you. Then I got a great big Pixie kiss. 

Every day I’m always so thankful for what Service Dog Project has done for me to enjoy my freedom walking and enjoying life to the fullest. Staying upright walking one foot in front of the other.

let's consider the planting of an idea.......  say i had a dream about glass blowing- a topic i normally know less than nothing about- but i am sure in my subconscious there is stored  a video from the "how do they make it" channel...so i type a few tidbits --- like----"i saw an video about 2 glass blowers-- both wore green hats"  -- 237 people read it - then 236 of them add a slant and  the "i read on the internet- glass blowers must wear  a special green hat" goes "out there" where a large portion of the internetting public is already overflowing with information and does not stop to think-- 4 people of the 100,000 now  reading the warped idea- now have a child who wants to get into glass blowing--- so the first thing they do is go buy a green hat-- never realizing  that the whole thing was actually an advertising gimic  put on by the green hat manufacturers.

 mind manipulation for --commercial, advertising , and political purposes-- 

so why my concern?   the testing of puppys for service dogs---  100 years ago when i had puppies- 2 people came  to test my pups.   With absolute authority- they told me they had  a way of testing pups for service dog training...  you rolled themn on their backs to see if /when and how they struggled-- you pinched between their toes to see how hard you had to pinch to make them yelp-- and several other disagreable things to see if they complained....- i am positive those tests are still around.

so why not add my test to the bunch?  i do not approve of teh  "normal testing" 

1. we never roll our dogs around ---- we  try never to use our muscles to control the pup-- and that starts with their very early lives--- if we have to,... of course we do------ but no one -- within sight of me  picks up a pup just for fun- you sit on the floor and if the pup wants to climb all over you -- that is fine...

  then i wrote this 

Puppy testing

Starting with I do not believe one should take any testing idea  100% seriously--  I have often noted- there is sometimes a “difference” in pups that we need to address at a  early age… before 3 months.

 The test is simple

Give the pup their dinner—and let them get part way thru…  then ask them to move their rear end over a few steps without stopping them from eating.  They will either

1.   move their rear.

2.   stop eating and move

3.   stiffen and not move- sometimes vocal

4.   stiffen and gobble food down

5.   snap at your leg

6.   or do nothing perceptible

#1 is desireable—

#6 is acceptable

#2  is very submissive- watch for timid…

#3,4,5 need special attention and correction.

Dear Carlene, I agree with your DD. I am the retired CP who worked at the VA and at hospitals and nursing homes. Trying to convince the idiots that run those places to get full Cable TV or internet is like pulling teeth. One reason is the companies like Verizon charge them a business rate instead of a residential rate. and you know how expensive your bill is. At the VA I was able to put internet services in my budget and buy computers. The IT people were sure we were playing poker and watching porn!! I was trying to expose them to the world. At one hospital I piggybacked on the alcohol treatments plan and they ran a wire to my unit. Most of the "activity " people at these places do not know what they are doing.  So keep it up!!

WALKING STAIRS HAS BEEN ONE OF THE MOST CHALLENGING ASPECTS OF GOING OUT FOR ME — BUT WITH SEAGRAM, WE DO STAIRS TOGETHER AUTOMATICALLY. SHE TIMES HERSELF PERFECTLY WITH MY STEPS, AND THIS IS SO SEAMLESS THAT WE DON’T EVEN NEED TALK ABOUT IT — THOUGH I DO TALK TO HER OFTEN AS WE ARE OUT & ABOUT...and I FIND THAT SHE LISTENS BETTER THAN MOST PEOPLE ;)

A FEW MINUTES PRIOR TO WHEN THIS VIDEO WAS TAKEN, AFTER SEAGRAM AND I WALKED *DOWN* THE STEPS, A WELL-MEANING APPLE EMPLOYEE TOLD US THAT THERE WAS AN ELEVATOR WE COULD USE TO GO BACK UP...OF COURSE I KNEW THAT,  BECAUSE THE LAST TIME WE WERE THERE, ANOTHER WELL-INTENTIONED EMPLOYEE HAD SUGGESTED THAT WE USE THE ELEVATOR. I REPLIED TO BOTH OF THEM ALMOST THE SAME WAY — “THANK YOU, BUT I LIKE THE CHALLENGE OF TAKING THE STAIRS, AND I HAVE THE PERFECT PARTNER TO HELP ME.”
