gotta hand it to  all 3 of our very young recipients...  eve  bella and hunter-- whether it is because we donated a dog for them or  it is their  "get up and go"  attitude that  caused us to note that they were 3 kids who had the uummphh   to  keep themselves moving forward in a community where regardless of their handicaps, they could help someone else... eve with her lemonaaade-- bella with her shirts -- and hunters tote bags -- involving children's hospital--  i.e. benefiting  other children instead of  concentrating on  just what the dog does for them.... or on the things they can not do..  i expect these kids to grow up, get an education and cure cancer-- or whatever....

THERE IS A LIFETIME OF DIFFERENCE BETWEEN  "IN SPITE OF THE HANDICAP"   AND "BECAUSE OF THE HANDICAP" AND I CAN GET PRETTY ADAMANT ON THE TOPIC.. 

THERE IS AN --"I CAN" --  VERSUS-- "I CAN'T"-- IT IS THAt  "apostrophe T" that  makes a world of difference.

one  of the most spectacular  stories is the person we gVE A DOG TO--- AND TOLD THEM TO COME BACK IN A MONTH  SO WE COUDL WORK ON "SPECIAL SITUATIONS"  -- THEY CAME BACK AND WE STArted to explain how to manage a dane on an airplane-- and she said she had already flown 18 times that month and delta loves her.

maybe it is that i see a service dog more something to remove a problem as opposed to being a help.  there is teh plus and minus....

i have to suggest everyone read rachael's paper on  organizing bella and george--  he does need to have a  water jug in the car-- needs to be fed.. and scooped... and  a runabout-- and blanketed in winter.  it is not a dog you "use" to walk... and stick in a crate at night.  we had someone try that waaaaaaay back at the beginning-- the person could not understand why the dog kept walking circles   and into walls-- turns out she used teh dog during the day, and when she got home put the dog in a crate and played with her  tiny lap dog.  we drove to her home- south of the hudson river.... and picked up the dog who was happy to leave and become a pet for someone in mass.

next problem-- we are going to have puppies... as  i am sure you all are remembering....aug 10 to 15th???   which means by  september  they can -- for a few weeks be part of our visiting the senior living pROJECT.. i once had ( AND MY POOR ORGAINZATIONAL SKILLS RUINED) A BRITISH PRAM-- ACTUALLY 2 OF THEM  WHICH I USED TO CARRY PUPPIES AROUND VISITING..  IT WAS LITERALLY A HOOT !!  SO I WENT OUT TO EBAY... AND FOUND THE ANTIQUE ONES WERE WELL OVER $1000   BUT I FOUND ONE  NEARLY NICE NOT ANTIQUE..FOR $90.  AND I BOUGHT IT...SOUNDS GOOD SO FAR..

PROBLEM IS-- IT IS " LOCAL PICK UP ONLY"-- AND I THOUGHT OF ALL THE CP'S AROUND AND JANINE SHIPPING DONKEYS THRU PENNA-- SOMEHOW WE OUGHT TO BE ABLE TO GET THAT PRAM FROM-- I THINK IT IS SUDBRUY((?) PENNA  BEFORE SEPTEMBER  WHEN I COULD USE IT.  I HAVE PERFECT FAITH...  I HAVE ALSO ASKED FOR AN EXACT ADDRESS... BECAUSZE THE EBAY  ONLY FLASHED THAT PICK UP TOWN ONCE--- AND I HAD TO EMAIL FOR THE EXACT TOWN....

PENNA  IS PENNA  NOT ALASKA... SOMEHOW  WE NEED TO GET THAT PRAM TO IPSWICH  BY SEPT.

TO WALK IN A  PLACE WITH A PUP OR TWO IN THAT PRAM WOULD GIVE THESE PEOPLE 3 MONTHS WORHT OF CONVERSATION-- NOT JUST THE RESIDENTS.... BUT THE STAFF !!

having a washing machine that  washes clothes was so exciting that i tossed my cklothes in and happily pushed teh button -- aND IT that worked i- THANKS TO BUD'S PERSEVEARENCE...-- HOWEVER.... I WAS forgetting that in the pocket  were 3 donations- 2 checks and a bill.-- the bill made it and dried without a problem- however the checks are 100% gone. not a shread... i am sorry to have to ask the two people for replacement-

i suppose it is a compliment to the bosche to have filtered out all the remains of the checks.

IT CERTAINLY  IS NICE TO HAVE CLOTHES WASHED IN A PEOPLE MACHINE  AND NOT ONE OF THE 3 COMMERCIAL MACHINES WE HAVE FOR "DOG LAUNDRY"

BUD IS NOW SITTING AROUND STARING AT TEH  2 PIECES OF  TEH GE MACHINE THAT I THINK ARE THE BROKEN BITS -I HAVE ORDERED 2 MORE OF THOSE-  IT IS TEH MODERN WAY... JUST KEEP REPLACING THINGS TIL IT WORKS AGAIN...

IN TAKING IT APART, I NOTICED A TINY USB  PORT- - NOW I WONDER IF THAT IS LIKE THE ONE IN THE CAR WHERE YOU HAVE A $80,000 COMPUTER THAT WILL ANALYZE WHAT THE  CAR'S PROBLEM IS  BECAUSE ALL MACHINES HAVE BECOPME SO COMPLEX THEY DEFY THE LOGICAL APPROACH..

THEY ARE TRYING TO DO THAT WITH MEDICINE   --- KEEP A HHUGE DATA BANK IN THIS "CLOUD"   SO EVENTUALLY  YOU CAN SIT AT HOME AND PRICK YOUR FINGER, WIPE IT ON  THE SCREEN AND IN 14 SECONDS OR LESS IT WILL TELL YOU YOU HAVE SOME PROBLEM WITH A LATIN  NAME....AND HOW MANY  OF WHAT KIND OF PILLS YOU NEED TO TAKE-- IT ALREADY HAS YOUR DAILY WEIGHT FROM THE SEAT OF THE CAR YOU DRIVE.

THAT WILL SAVE HAVING TO SPEND $300,000 TO PUT A KID THRU MED SCHOOL.

EVERY NIGHT AT MAIL CALL, I GET  THE QUESTION...   DID YOU DO ANY TRIANING TODAY.??..    WELL...HAVING BEEN KNOCKED NEARLY FLAT BY THE 4 HOUSE DOGS, I CERTAINLY DID TRAIN YEASTERDAY.   TOOK ME ALL OF 5 MINUTES..

I HAD A PROBLEM TRYING TO EVEN GET THE FRONT DOOR OPEN...  

I NOW SAY "WAIT" AND OPEN THE DOOR WIDE- NOT ONE WILL MOVE TIL I SAY THEIR NAME.  SOMETIMES ALL IT TAKES IS BEING CONSISTANT AND GIVING THE DOGS YOUR UNDIVIDED ATTENTION.... THEY ALL KNEW BETTER-- NOW THEY ARE ORGANIZED... IT IS IMPRESSIVE.... AND ALL IT TOOK WAS A FEEW MINUTES OF MY PAYING ATTENTION AND NOT RUSHING OUR TH E DOOR MYSELF.  NOW THAQT WILL WORK GETTING INTO AND OUT OF THE CAR.. ETC...

Today was extra special for me because I found out I am going to be a GRANDMA  for the first time and then see that I've been Shatupon !!!! YAY a day I will never forget.

15 minus 2 is 13 --  as in 13 missing and 2 working phones-- so today wibll not only be a shatting day, but a phone hunt day..  they do crunch a bit.. and i know we have lost at least two to puppy teeth ----   linda has anotehr 3 which squalk "low battery" constaNTLY  and maybe one got left in the tractor... but that still is alot missing... AND THE REST OF TEH PROBLEM IS.... EVERY TIME I BUY PHONES-- I TRY AND GET THEM MATCHING-  BUT THEY ARE NOT QUITE THE SAME  SO EVERY 3 OR 5  PHONES I BUY HAS IT'S OWN "BASE STATION AND LITTLE CHARGERS.  SOME WELL PLACED NAIL POLISH SHOULD MAKE THAT SIMPLE...  BUT  WE HAVE REACHED AQ SATURATION POINT OF "IS THIS   RED FIRE AND ICE OR A SCARLOTT O'HARA ECAUSE THE FIRE AND ICE PHONES DO NOT GET CHARGED INTHE SCARLOTT O'Hra chargers...

i had 2 emails re yesterday's topic of  is pacing a normal thing..to be ignored... here is an interesting one... might help someone- (pacing = same arm and leg moving forward at the same time)

from a CP..... YEARS AGO I WAS IN A CAR CRASH. MANY SUBSEQUENT TRIPS TO THE ER ALWAYS SENT HOME AS "JUST ANXIETY." HAD MANY BALANCE PROBLEMS MANY VISUAL PROBLEMS MANY COGNITIVE PROBLEMS, ONE OF WHICH WAS A TOTAL INABILITY TO EXPLAIN MYSELF, HENCE THE ANXIETY DIAGNOSIS, WHICH I SUBSEQUENTLY DEVELOPED FOR REAL. AFTER SOME TIME I REALIZED I WAS PACING - ARMS AND LEGS WENT FORWARD IN UNISON INSTEAD OF OPPOSITE. I HAD A WHOLE SELF INVENTED REHAB PROGRAM AT THAT POINT TO WHICH I ADDED RELEARNING TO WALK CORRECTLY. MANY HOURS SPENT PRACTICING WHILE WALKING AROUND A POND. AT FIRST TWO STEPS ONLY BEFORE I REVERTED BACK TO PACING. EVENTUALLY I DID RELEARN TO WALK WITHOUT PACING. MY THIRD OPHTHALMOLOGIST TOOK ONE LONG LOOK AT ME AND ASKED IF I HAD BEEN IN A CAR CRASH. DIAGNOSED ME WITH UNDIAGNOSED HEAD INJURY INCLUDING CRANIAL NERVE DAMAGE WHICH CAUSED THE VISUAL PROBLEMS AND A NOTICEABLE HEAD TILT, WHICH HE SPOTTED RIGHT AWAY. HEAD TILT MY BRAINS WAY OF TRYING TO COMPENSATE FOR THE FACT THAT MY EYES NO LONGER WORKED IN HARMONY. YOU COULD CALL IT EYE PACING PERHAPS. NOW YEARS LATER I AM MUCH IMPROVED. SOME PROBLEMS REMAIN INCLUDING PTSD AND OTHERS BUT I GET BY. YOU ARE ABSOLUTELY CORRECT TO REGARD PACING AS INDICATIVE OF A NEUROLOGICAL ABNORMALITY.

Hi Carlene and crew,

Charlotte and I joined our family for a test of skill and patience in RV camping! We went to the quad cities in Iowa/Illinois to visit some of my wife's family. It was a really great trip and we got to see many cousins/sisters/nephews/etc. Charlotte was outstanding keeping things moving and not with me hitting the floor. Setting up a trailer at a campground was much more difficult than I thought it would be. Bending down to put in the tire chocks was easy, however standing and quickly turning around were not the task I had anticipated. Fortunately Charlotte was there to help keep me upright, a good position to be. Hooking up all the utilities and stuff weren't hard to do, just frustrating because I thought I should be able to do all those things. More than a couple of times (each day) I started to go down but each and every time fortunately Charlotte was right there and I avoided the abrupt collision with the ground. Charlotte was a real good sport through the whole trip including a trip to (a really really small) zoo. I kid, but the quad city zoo is MUCH smaller than ours in Cincinnati. I'm spoiled I guess :)

Thanks again for all you and the crew do. This would have been a much different outcome if I had tried to do it without my service dog. Bless you all.

puppies a'commin    -- lainie is ready to nurse about 17  hungry pups- her entire milk department is

----shall we say--- exceedingly well developed...  we are ready to move along-- 

 case in point -- 2 of our volunteers have gone home with the ultimate thank you...-- i.e.    2 fabulous failures-  now perfectly trained-- lovely dogs-- beautiful danes-- just not suitable for service work...

how did they become FF? or as sokme people prefer perfect pets????    #1 our very best  of the litter get STASHED away as future breeding dogs-  NOT TO BE SPAYED OR NEUTERED IN CASE WE NEED TEHM... #2 SOMETIMES THERE IS A DOG THAT JUST CAN NOT KEEP THIER MIND ON THE JOB AT HAND--- HAPPY CHEERFUL- BUT NOT WHAT YOU WOULD CALL STUDIOUS.

#3.. PHYSICALLY-- THERE HAVE BEEN A FEW WHO HAVE GOTTEN HURT IN THE PROCESS OF THE ROUGH AND TUMBLE OF CHILDHOOD AROUND HERE... ONE EXAMP[LE IS... PACING...  IF A DOG PACES I  WILL WASH THEM OUT-- I SEE SEEING EYE DOGS.. LABS... THAT PACE ALL THE TIME, BUT PERSONALLY I THINK IT IS AN ABNORMALITY-   THAT CAN FORTELL OF FUTURE PROBLEMS..MY FIRST EXAMPLE WAS DONALD---  WHO I GAVE TO  COLLEEN--  BIG BEAUTIFUL HARLEQUIN MALE--- HAPPILY PACED TIL THE AGE OF 14.

DOGS ARE SUPPOSED TO TROT WITH DIAGIONAL FEET... WE MOVE SIMILARLY.. TRY WALKING AND SWINGING YOUR RIGHT ARM  FORWARD AS YOUR RIGHT FOOT MOVES FORWARD- IT IS  AN AWKWARD SWAYING MOVEMENT---- IT JUST IS NOT RIGHT IN MY BOOK...- I KNOW FOR A FACT THAT IT HAPPENED WAY BACK WITH 2 DOGS-- LONG BEFORE I THOUGHT OF SDP.... GIGI-  GOT KICKED BY A HORSE-- AND MOVED AWAY FROM THE KICK IN A NORMAL FASHION- BUT 20 MINUTES LATER  HER STRIDE WAS SLIGHTLY "CONFUSED"  AND  WITHIN  AN HOUR  SHE PACED....  AND WENT ON TO BE UNSTEADY ON HER FEET  TO THE POINT OF OUR HAVING TO PUR BATH MATS AT EVERY CORNER IN THE HOUSE- BECAUSE IF SHE SLIPPED, SHE WENT DOWN...-- SHE ALSO WENT ON TO BE A WONDERFUL MOTHER OF DOGS THAT DID NOT PACE-- AND HER SISTER, PIPI, BEGAT BITSY  WHO BEGAT THUMPER WHO IS  SOMEHOW RELATED TO JUST ABOTU EVERY DOG WE NOW HAVE.    THE OTHER DOG WAS POKER - WHO SLID ON THE ICE, AROUND A POLE AND  GOT UP PACING..  AND FINALLY PARTIALLY PARALIZED...  SO.... WITH NO MEDICAL TRAINING,,.... I DON'T LIKE  TO PUT A YEARS TRAINING IN A DOG THAT PACES, JUST IN CASE..

BEING  OF HORSE BACKGROUND, I DO WATCH HOW A DOG MOVES, PROBABLY MORE THAN MOST DOG PEOPLE--   SINCE WE  ARE ON THE TOPIC......THERE IS ANOTEHR

ABNORMALITY.... COMMON IN PUPPIES AND USUALLY OUTGROWN...TEH NEXT FASTEST GAIT IN DOGS/HORSES IS A CANTER  WHERE  BOTH LEGS ON ONE SIDE MOVE FORWARD IN UNISON... AND THOSE CHANGE SIDES AS THE DOG TURNS --  THE LEGS ON THE SIDE THEY ARE TURNING TOWARD ARE SUPPOSED TO  GO FORWARD FIRST... IT IS CALLED BEING ON THE LEFT OR RIGHT "LEAD" -- THIS TIPS THIER BODY SLIGHTLY TOWARD THE WAY THEY ARE TURNING AND KEEPS THEM BALANCED...

PUPPIES OFTEN "GO ON A SPLIT LEAD"  WHICH AS THEY EXERCISE MORE AND GET MORE ORGANIZED..  WORKS IT 'S WAY OUT... 

AN ADULT ON A SPLIT LEAD HAS SOME PROBLEM  WHICH- I AM SURE A VERERNARIAN COUL.D DIAGNOSE  ,  GIVE A LATIN NAME TO....AND OPERATE ON FOR $10,000.

MY SOLUTION IS TO LET THEM LEAD A HAPPY LIFE   AS PETS.

me  vs the washing machine

SO WHEN WAS PLAYING ON THE STUPIDITY OF OTHERS A LEGITIMATE WAY TO RUN A BUSINESS????--

 I CALLED THE SAME DAY FIXER COMPANY FOR MY WASHER-- 

NOT REALIZING OF TEH 14 "SAME DAYERS"  LISTED ONLINE,   I PICKED TEH SAME  ONE WHO TOLD ME LAST YEAR THAT MY WASHER WAS TOTALLED- GO BUY ANOTHER-- WHICH BUD FIXED FOR $13.

this time...GUY COMES IN-- BLOWS A FUSE-- I SENT HIM DOWN TO THE PANEL- AND HE CAME BACK... HE COULDN'T OPEN THE PANEL DOOR . AND IT WAS NOT locked  ... 

I WENT DOWN AND OPENED THE DOOR FOR HIM TO FLIP THE SWITCH.  THAT WAS A CLUE..... I OPTED TO WATCH HIM FIX  THE WASHER    AND GOT A CHAIR . HE PULLED IT AWAY FROM THE WALL  AND LOOKED- THEN SAID " THE BOARD IS FRIED-  TEH NEW BOARDS ARE3 $400 SO YOU MAY AS WELL BUY ANOTHER-- " ON HE RAMBLED ABOUT YOU CAN NOT FIX  THESE NEW MODERN MACHINES  BLAH BLAH BLAH.. HERE IS OUR BILL FOR THE VISIT  $130.00" - 

WAIT ONE MINUTE...  IF YOU CAN NOT FIX THESE WHY DO  YOU COME HERE IN THE FIRST PLACE...  HE EVENTUALLY OPTED NOT TO CHARGE- IT WAS NOT HIS Fault-- he had zero skills at trying to logically see what was wrong.... -- and... another clue... his tool bag was not battered and worn...

please.....mike rowe--- speak louder.....  something is very wrong wiht "formal education" 

i was lazy you are right-- or busy trying to deal with sending a grant paper on a computer prone to faults and no linda here....

so i stopped everything...  and looked online  ge parts--   that  computer board he is talking about is $37  not $400---  but as i wandered around the ge parts-- i think the provblen is with the lid locking-- so for $22 i am going to take it apart and  maybe wreck it completely- but at least i will have an education..\ judy and i will... she got into  the washer problem too.

i already have the education part about do not believe anyone who is on the other end of your checkbook.

that includes blue apron-- nearly impossible to cancel them-

how impossible you ask??  .... when you try, you get 6 companies boasting about "let us cancel your automatic deliveries for you... and  for a fee"  to have  those 6 companies even exist smacks of serious "advantage taking" --- we have enjoyed blue apron --- but have a new idea on meal deliveries

had a great visit with elvis ( and owner fiona) -- she had something done to her ankle which caused them to wrap it up in a baby blue  stovepipe thing...  she said the doctorrs at chldren's hospital were thrilled with elvis-- and for a while george was in the same hospital wih bella..

 the 2 dogs look very alike-- except elvis is only 15 months old --  george is more like 3 years...

the interesting part is that   fiona said he behaved and functioned perfectly  -- totally focused on her-- to the point  of "running away"  to the door of the OR  when fionas sister tried to walk him when fiona was in surgery... 

ADI's ( assistance dogs international) usual is to give a pup to a family for 18 months then bring it back  to the  training facility probably to a crate--  for training-- then to a person to work... my contention is that  the dog is bonded to the family that raised it and  not totally  focused on working for the final person..  ours are rasied here... with minimal overnights in a home-- so when the get their person... they are thrilled to  focus on just that  one person,.

maybe it was/is  dumb luck... but whatever... we'll take it.

 maybe everyone already knows but i was shocked to be told that.. when flying,   .there is now no longer a "carry on luggaGE... YOU ARE ALLOWED ONE "POCKETBOOK"  SIZE-- THE REST IS WEIGHED AND YOU ARE CHARGED FOR IT.-- MEANING EVEN MEN.... WILL BE CARRYING  SMALL LAP SIZE OBJECTS...  PERFECT CHANCE FOR US TO SELL FEED BAgs !!!  i hope some cp's can look into this and  we can capatilize on that !!  these are very handy !! and sturdy -- i know ---  i tested on with the new mule "barbie"  and nothing gave out.--  believe it or not we have almost gone thru the first 500-- got to make a few  further tests... like can a laptop be rammed into it??? 

i once owned a laptop--  but it developed rabies - i also had a few other things that were far too intelectual for me, and have wandered off into the sunset... now  to listen to the audio books, i have to get in my car-  which is a fine place--a  portable  heated and air conditioned cell in which i can nap undisturbed...- and harder for  me to misplace..... so far..

it would only take about $600,000- "capital expense" in addition to about the same for  yearly running expense...

 my working life began with 25 cents/ hour babysitting-back when gas was 5 gal for $1...so that was the frame of refverence for my mind...  20 cents over the years became $2.00 then finally $20.00..  kids now have $20 bills   like i had a quarter. never did  i ever think i would be putting so many zeros on any project..  

coins....hardly have any use anymore at all- my kids grew up on  the coins from teh WantAd magazine- as  the 16 delivery people gave me their  weekly results in cash, in coins,and in brown paper bags...  i'd bank the bills and we would live off the  coins---  a  genetic collection of coins without the quaRTERS PICKED OUT  IS VERY CLOSE TO $20 A CUPFUL.  AND IF YOU REALLY NEED TO KNOW.... A GALLON OF PENNIES IS ABOUT $60.  I KNOW FOR A FACT THAT  5 gallons of pennies was $291.63- because i fillied one and used it as a prize "if you guessed the right number of pennies in the jug."  it also weighed a ton !!!

my bropken  washing machine  "B"   --- hardly an interesting story....except--- i googled and called a same day deal- he asked if i had ever uysed them before "i dunno" ----but he looked it up and yes i had called them before...  the guy came and said "A"  was unfixable and i should buy another "B" which i did-- and set "A" aside--  bought "B"--- then  bud came along and fixed "A" for $13.50... which i then put in the cellar as back up... "b" now broken and the same outfit is coming back???? 

there is a bad vibe here somewhere...

MARTINA AND I JUST CAME BACK FROM ONE OF THE MOST AMAZING TRIPS I HAVE BEEN ON. WE WENT WITH THE FAMILY TO YELLOWSTONE AND GRAND TETON NATIONAL PARKS. MARTINA DID AN AMAZING JOB WITH THE 5 HOUR PLANE RIDE TO SALT LAKE CITY FOLLOWED BY A 5 HOUR CAR RIDE THE FOLLOWING DAY TO THE PARKS. I AM CONVINCED THAT IF I HAD NOT HAD MARTINA I WOULD HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO DO MOST OF WHAT I GOT TO DO WHILE WE WHERE THERE. WE GOT TO SEE THE STAPLES INCLUDING OLD FAITHFUL, THE GRAND PRISMATIC LAKE, YELLOWSTONE’S GRAND CANYON, AND THE GRAND TETONS.  

IF I WAS STILL USING MY WALKING STICK OR MY CRUTCHES I WOULD NOT HAVE BEEN ABLE TO GET TO SEE SOME AMAZING VIEWS. MARTINA GOT A TON OF COMPLEMENTS AND I GAVE QUITE A NUMBER OF PEOPLE SDP’S INFORMATION AND TALKED TO THEM ABOUT WHAT YOU DO, I HOPE YOU GOT A COUPLE OF NEW CAMERA PEOPLE FROM OUR TRIP OUT THERE. I AM AMAZED AT HOW MUCH BENEFIT MARTINA HAS GIVEN ME IN MY LIFE AND HOW MUCH INDEPENDENCE I HAVE NOW WITH HER.

THE SUCCESS  OF MOST ANY BUSINESS FALLS  SIMPLY ON REPUTATION- AND THO  I THINK  SDP DESERVES TEH FINEST REPUTATION AND I  STRIVE TO KEEP IT THAt way.... .... I FEEL COMPELLED TO HELP WHERE I THINK  A NEGATIVE REP[UTATION IS UNWARENTED....--

LIKE  MY FRIEND WHO STRUGGLES TO KEEP ALIVE HIS  GAS STATION/ITALIAN/ INDIAN RESTAURANT--  WHENEVER  I MENTION INDIAN FOOD- THERE IS ONE IN THE GROUP "OH I COULD NEVER EAT THERE IT IS TOO HOT"-----  THAT POOR REPUTATION IS UNWARRANTED - AND HURTS HIS BUSINESS-----IT IS POSSIBEL TO ASK FOR MEALS TO BE  MILD--- MEDIUM--- OR HOT -   IN MY case iN point...MILD-----   THERE IS A FAMILY STAYING IN THE GUEST HOUSE AND  I HAD BROUGHT HOME A SUPPLY OF INDIAN FOOD-( TO BE AUGMENTED BY A BBQ CHICKEN AND MASHED POTS.)  THEY WERE HAPPILY EATING TH E INDIAN FOOD- THE HUSBAND  WAS SHOCKED TO HEAR IT WAS INDIAN... BECAUSE HE HAD HEARD......BLAH BLAH BLAH....

MANY OF TEH INDIAN SPICES  ARE LOVELY-- AND NOT MOUTH BURNERS AS THE REPUTATION WOULD HAVE YOU BELIEVE... IT IS A HUGE DIVERSION FROM ITALIAN... NAMELY PIZZA-- EVEN THO MY FRIEND HAS TRIED TO DEVELOPE AN INDIAN SPICED PIZZA  WITHOUT ALOT OF SUCCESS ( AT LEAST WITH OUR BUNCH.)

THERE IS ONE  WAY OUT IF YOU EVER END UP WITH SOMETHING TOO HOT FOR COMFORT--  YOU CAN ALWAYS ASK FOR A DISH OF YOGURT AND MIX THAT IN  IF YOU END UP ORDERING SOMETHING   "TOO HOT"  --IT CUTS THE HEAT PRETTY WELL...  BUT MOST  RESTAURANTS ARE AWARE OF TEH "TOO HOT" REPUTATION - AND TRY AND DEAL..

THAT REPUTATION... LIKE A FACEBOOK REPUTATION ---   OF  "I HEARD THAT...."  IS A TOUGH ONE TO BATTLE..

IN AN EFFORT TO KEEP HIM IN BUSINESS,   -- WE HAVE PLACED  2 DOGS  WITHIN A MILE OF HIS PLACE...-- ONE BEING  SIR RICHARD...---  SO I SUGGESTED THAT THEY TRY-- AND HE WAS THRILLED TO TELL ME  ONE OF TEH "DOG PEOPLE" HAD ORDERED OVER $100 OF FOOD FOR A PARTY-- ? HOW DID THEY CONNECT??   HIS POKER CHIP WAS ON TOP OF HIS CASH REGISTER- AND THEY NOTICED IT...

IT IS LIKE THE ITALIAN PIZZA MAKERS  HAVE A VENDETTA OUT FOR THE  POOR INDIAN  NAAN MAKER- AND PROMOTE  THE FEAR OF "TOO HOT"-  THERE IS GREAT FINANCIAL ADVANTAGE TO PROMOTING THE FEAR OF TEH COMPETITION'S PRODUCT...

NOW EVERYONE GO OUT AND TRY MILD  AT AN INDIAN RESTAURANT.
