OH DEAR.....IT IS ABOUT THE 5 LLAMAS I BROUGHT HOME YESTERDAY....  it might have been more clear if i said  llama beans?
 THE SHAKEY HANDS HIT AGAIN
WELL HOPEFULLY   THAT WON'T GET ME IN S MUCH TROUBLE AS TEH    PROJECT/PROCESS   MISTAKE DID...
*****
this willl be a short doggie
i need to write stuff for teh new explore web---- and i am not sure what  tone to set...
****
someone sent an email worried that the little donkeys were not getting enough  hay to eat-- becaus e the cameras don't show the fact they are all standing in hay outside by the hay feeder...

thank you for your concern--- but  in my opinion it is not the hay problem... they are walking around in my expensive hay both outside and what falls out of the bags.....donkeys can live on hay and water..  pockets has something else going on...  she is going to be a big girl  and could stand a little grain as could aging mo...  but if the little ones get grain they will burst... it becomes a problem of geometry tall mo -- but if we hang a bucket for pockets the little ones will try and treach it. i had hoped everyone going by would giveb her a handful--

she also still  has a some wierd bug/alergy... her nose doesn't run like a typical case of strangles.. but two or three times a weeh, it is goopy...  i am hoping she will kick it herself

and then ther is the ?sap? or rain rot patches common at this time of year on her back....  so we watch....
******
this is the biggest news i can think of.... it involves dogfest dates   i have no idea what the detais are  but a round trip for $19 caught my eye...
If you haven't planned a summer vacation yet, you may be in luck. Southwest Airlines' massive bi-annual fare sale is back -- and get this, some round-trip flights are below $100.
According to CNBC, "Flights begin at $49 each way on Southwest's shortest routes and increase to $79, $99 or $129 each way for longer flights." The reduced prices are valid on domestic travel between August 22 through December 13, 2017 (okay, so it'd be more like an end-of-summer or fall vacay) and only apply to nonstop flights.

Hi Carlene!

Just a quick note to let you know Wendy did an amazing job on our Boston field trip! She was not a fan of the puddles, and had her first duck boat ride. Lots of compliments about Wendy and it was super busy at the aquarium! And we had Lainie's mom's relative come up to us to see if she was from SDP. We included a video of what Wendy does best, help me. This time up, steps at Quincy Market with no rail with my legs tired. All possible because of you and everyone involved with SDP! Thank you!

june 6 2017
lordy... i used a wrong word and  caused grief and agrivation..  this internet stuff is dangerous... last night bonnie bergin ( of bergin university of canine studies called)-   i was thrilled to talk with her...  we have a great deal in common--  except she  has worked 1000% harder longer and correcter  than i have... and has a huge training facility  where they put out some fantastic dogs ---   i am afraid to make a joke and call them "almost dogs" ( i.e.... but the are not danes :)  ) for fear that will go viral....

couple days ago in the DD.....i was trying to imply  that maybe they (bergin univ.)were unaware of the wierd training PROCESS   we have with starting spoon feeding and i said "they were unaware of our project...."  WRONG    i meant to say PROCESS..  i have long wanted to expirement with our  concept of training on  a litter or two of the "normal" service dog   labs and goldens-- i even suggested it to purina somewhere along the line...
she even invited me to come out to california    and have a discussion  with her bunch-- which i would dearly love... except ... flying across country is not my favorite occupation..  i did tell her one of her masters candidates had contacted me from australia and we are setting up a skype conversation...  she said her two masters candidates from there were  wonderful--- that may be my goldie moment... to  discuss in depth the training via skype.. with her and let her bring it to bergin... ( i will figure out skype...somehow)

since i only knew bonnie's name  i "went out there"  and looked her up-- only to find in her  xxxxx  who is....?  that the idea for service dogs came from the concept of the use of donkeys in  other countries....BINGO--- FULL CIRCLE  ---- she started thinking  service animals with donkeys.... here i am  without the  courage to write to sheila obriens ( our ADI  accreditating inspector)  and give  a long pitch for mini donkeys as service animals.. with or instead of the mini horse concept...

problem there is donkeys are the butt of many jokes-- not unlike great danes--- the general public- could stand to be more educated about both...
donkeys are not  always stubborn  and danes are not  always goofy-- altho  they often look like it.
***
so the upcome of the episode is ... i will try and get our training  a bit more organized in my head-- and hopefully this person from australia  could cause a conversation among trainers to consider  some of the things...
*****
bonnie said she couldn't consider  adding danes for another 3 years as she is building a building.... i can certainly relate to that--  after my dealings  with the ipswich building inspector deciding my dog house was a commercial building...
*****
gotta hand it to courtney... she does not miss a thing.
*****
anne finally got the interim report out to cummings- they had a problem uploading our budget info.. --anne had read the exact directions  and was confused about  how to do the report... i had not read hth directions  and was determined to be confused  without going the road "when all else fails read the directions"-- i hate calling people and sounding like i can't read..  i certainly can read teh words... understanding them is a whole new problem...
so she got that off...
****
we have a wandering illness-- donna is out-- and now linda -- both blaming pam..   or megan...  whatever..
which brings me to  ? immunity...  and c5  "puppy shots"...

i must have a discussion with george.....or anyone with some scientifif background.... if the c 5 shots are repeated at 6 weeks 12 weeks and 16 weeks to be sure that they trigger antibodies--- becaise  if teh mother's colostreum  provided the antibodies to prohibit the vaccine from working... then why is there such a panic about letting the general public  be near puppies before "their shots"
i am sure there is a perfectly logical reason...   but it sounds like  it could be one of those things  which could get going.... " if you use your cell phones in the birthing area a puppy will be stillborn"
george?????
******
judy just brought in a copy of "IF" by rudyard kippling--- to frame and put on the wall   over the coffee pot-- there are places to put things where people are forced to stand and look around-- the kerig coffee maker is one-- men's urinals are another...
****
mindy--- the mantle female  pup i am trying for the house-- and breeding ... along with sizzle..  i took her out with me yesterdy---the mission was to go buy 6 pieces of electrican conduit pipe  to makd teh new puppy bus into a covered wagon sort...i got distracted as i wentby the lima bean store and ended up buying 5 bags of baby limas instead .
as with donkeys and danes--- so many people have bad vibes about lima beans that  they are hard to find...  now they are being  re-thought of...and put next to the edemamy beans  that they are beginning to appear in  stores.
****

i will try for the pipe again today..

JUNE 5 2015
TODAY, TOMORROW AND YESTERDAY---PLEASE--  SAVE ME EXTENSIVE RESEARCH.....WHEN ASKING ME TO DO SOMETHING, GIVE ME A POINT OF REFERENCE-- LIKE TODAY IS MONDAY..-- I COULD FIGURE OUT THE REST ALL BY MYSELF..
WHEN I GET AN EMAIL THAT SAYS , I WILL CALL  YOU ABOUT 10 AM TOMORROW, I GET VERY CONFUSED... ESPECIALLY WHEN SOME OF YOU PEOPLE ARE ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE WORLD--- AND TEHN THERE IS  10 AM WHO'S TIME????EASTERN STANDARD DYALIGHT SAVINGS TIME.??.. AND THINGS LIKE THAT...

MEANWHILE..... YESTERDAY -- SHATTING SUNDAY-- WAS A BEAUIFUL DAY.. FIRSTLY BECAUSE WE SOLD OUT TEH 2100  NUMBERS AND A BUNCH OF THE PURPLE FLYING EGG ONES TOO.
FOR ALL YOU NEWCOMMERS....HERE ARE SOME DETAILS
THIS "NONSENSE"  HELPS  PAY OUR PAYROLL.. LITERALLY... AND WITHOUT IT  WE COULD NOT OPERATE.. EVEN WIH ALL THE VOLUNTEERS ( WITHOUT WHOM WE COULD NOT OPERATE EITHER)  EACH MONTH I PUT OUT 2100 NUMBERS -- WHICH FOR THE PAST 4 YEARS HAVE SOLD OUT--BLESSED BE ALL THOSE PEOPLE WHO "MEET THE PAYROLL"  WITH THEIR $10  DONATION...  JUST FOR FUN, ONCE THAT IS SOLD OUT, I PUT UP THE PURPLE EGG DIVISION  - A SECOND SET OF NUMBERS - THE WINNER OF THAT DIVISION IS DETERMINED, NOT  BY A HEN, BUT A SOFT BOILED EGG ROLLING DOWN A  TWISTED  CHUTE AND SPLATTERING ON THE NUMBER BOARD.
THE ONLINE  PROGRM IS MANAGED BY A GUY NAMED MATT-- WHO HANDLES ALL THE  BOOK KEEPING ....CHARGE ACCOUNTS AND  THINGS LIKE THAT.  THE BIG REASON HIS CHECK TO US IS LESS THAN YOU EXPPECT, IS BECAUSE OF ALL THE CHECKS WE GET FOR  QUICK PICKS WHICH WE  "PROCESS".. OUR CHECK FROM MEMSAIC  IS USUALLY BETWEEN $17,000 AND $20,000 WITH THE DIFFERENCE HAVING ALREADY BEEN DEPOSITED  BY LINDA  WITH THE CHECKS IN THE CHICKEN DRAWER...MATT ,& CHARGE CARDS  FEES AMOUNT TO ABOUT 10%  WHICH IS A HUGE BARGAIN.. NO WAY COULD WE COPE FROM THIS OFFICE...

ALONG WITH EATING WONDERFUL FOOD PEOPLE BRING- AND MARK COOKS ...THE CROWD  ENJOYS A SOCIAL HOUR WHILE THEY STAND AROUND PUTTING ALL THOSE STICKEERS ON THE TABLE  AT 2PM    AND THEN REMOVING THEM AFTERWARDS  ( 3:04 PM YESTERDAY  )WHILE PASSING THE TIME OF DAY----- HAVING THT ROLL UP TABLE COVER ( TARP) IS A GREAT IDEA BECAUSE IN BAD WEATHER WE CAN DO IT IN FRONT OF THE FIREPLACE-- IN THE PAST WE HAVE SUFFERED FROSTY FINGERS PEALING OFF THOSE NUMBERS.

WHY DO WE NOT LEAVE THEM ON?... BECAUSE, WE DON'T....
******
PUPS HAD A WONDERFUL DAY IN V PEN... THERE WERE ALOT OF PEOPLE TO WATDCH OVER THEM... THEY ARE STILL HAWK SIZE--I.E.  NOT MUCH BEGGER THAN A BIG RABBIT ON WHICH THE HAWKS DINE... SO WHEN WE MOVE THEM TO AND FROM THE  HOUSE, WE NEED LOTSA PEOPLE AROUND..    THEY CAN NOT GO ON PUPPY HILL TIL THEY ARE MUCH BIGGER BECAUSE WE COULD NOT KEEP THEM ALL  TOGETHER... AND GUARDED.
*****
THE DONKEY WALK  WAS ENTERTAINING AS PETER GOT ON MO... WHO POLITELY TROTTED OFF DOWNTHE DRIVEWAY-- SINCE SHE DOES NOT REALLY STEER HE WAS GONE FOR A WHILE..  THEYN THERE WAS A TRAINING SESSION WITH POCKETS-- ON THE  BOX... AND THEN JANINE HAS GOT ALL EXCITED ABOUT SOME DONKEY RACE IN COLORADO WHERE KIDS TRY AND GET DONKEYS OVER A RACE COURSE WITH CARROTS FOR FUEL..
POCKETS COULD LOOK BETTER..  I THINK SHE HAS TREE SAP ON HER BACK...PULLED OFF SOME HAIR...  SHE  IS NOT FAT ENOUGH TO GET THE USUAL  RAIN ROT  WHERE RAIN SITS  ON THE FLAT BACK OF A FAT DONKEY AND PERKOLATES..... I WILL HAVE TO LOOK AT IT TODAY.. ( MONDAY)

BELLA
Fun filled afternoon! Today we did some chores this morning and then after meeting we went for a bike ride. We went to Great Brook state park. Bella had a blast riding her bike and George had a blast running and chasing everyone. We rode about 3 miles in the woods. That was enough for
bella to request some Tylenol before bed. She got some Motrin and tucked in. Everyone was impressed as usual with George when he comes out from under the table at a restaurant. Our waiter didn't even know he was there until we were almost done eating. That is one good doggie! His

under is pretty good. Well I am off to bed.

shatting day... and already ... the faster i go, the behinder i get.
i wonder if along with loss of short term memory, there is a coefficient of distraction..

all i was trying to do was refer a parkinson letter to renee an d needed to find out her web
AND  in wandering thru i found that she had written to bergin university for some information on serv dogs and  dealing with the public
and was told  they did not  think balance dogs were possibe because they knock you over...

and that has made  me very angry-   mostly because i don't know how to send them the video of george getting bella down that flight of stairs.
along with the poem "somebody said that it couldnt't be done---  but he with a chuckle replied... etc,,,,

tehre is a golden retriever, yellow lab mentality in all of ADI  which is hard to  counter...  mostly because --one of the basic  puppy tests for participating in  a "normal" service dog facility, it to  throw a ball and see if the puppy goes after it... and hopefully even picks it up in their mouths...and even returning it to you?????   i have seen these  trainers try that with my dane puppies  and just turn them down as prospects...

what those trainers fail to see, is the danes have a much more intellectual approach ..  they will sit down and look at you and say " why did you do that-- and if you threw it away- i better leave it there."  danes have zero instinct to reteieve..  with great effort they can be taught....
a quick story-- then i must get to teh shatting....

i had thumper-- one of the origional stud dogs-- on stage one day where i was trying to convince other trainers to try danes-- and  i got the usual  ' they don't retrieve" ----   well... thumper had been taught to do that -- so i took my wallet out and dropped it -- he looked at it - and the entire audience lookied at him.. not moving until i said 'would you please pick that up for me"  he walked over and handed me the wallet-perfectly......  someone in the back said  " i didn't see that.. make him do that again" -- i dropped it again and asked thump to get it.. he looked at me  with a perfect "i am not a trick dog-- you don't MAKE me do  anything."  i had to pick  it up myself...

so i must write a letter to gergin university of canine studies... and let them know there is a whole training program of which they are unaware..... apparently....
***
and i must now go  parboil the purple eggs for the flying egg division of teh shatting ceremony??/

but i am unhappy with bergin...

i hate to think-- (boy isn't that the way to  start the day?????)  -- but anyway... i hate to think  that chocolate is teh culprit in tachycardia-- but it is loaded with caffeen-- that is enough to upset anyones day...-- however my new blackjeans just fit so teh revelation about chocolate might have dual purposes.
moving on....

i had alot of advice/coments about 911 and the ER's...  this one has posibilities of better service....
*
Dear Carlene,
Last year I fell \  I broke left wrist, collies fx.  You're right, call 911, which I didn't do. Church friend took me to ER. Triage, yes broken arm. I'm white ad a ghost, pain.....off charts.  Told to go sit down.  Left arm looks really wonky.  My Priest came in, because that's what he does.  He takes out the oil and begins to anoint me. Orthodox Christians do not have last rites.  Anointing is for healing. Prayers being said.

ER Is over flowing since this was around Christmas time.  People start whispering, she's dying.  I hear " oh why isn't she getting seen by a doctor.  Now several people louder stating that I'm dying, since priest is here.   Out come 3doctors in a rush.  Now my eyes opened wide, what the h..ll.  I'm taken FAST in the wheelchair they had me strapped in. The female doctor is pushing me yelling, ONE EYED ER DOCTOR COMING THROUGH.  I turned to look, God bless she had one eye. My friend and priest follow.
I'm seen by the doctor, joking saying my priest pushed me, don't joke in ER.  If that were true then it would have to be reported.
Moral of story.  No need for 911.  Have a priest anoint you in ER so people scream, she's dying!
**
i remember ..... i had a solution ot the crowded doctors office... i used to have janine... then 4-5 years old  carry a coffee can like she was about to vomit... and  no receptionist or nurse wanted that all over the floor in the waiting room...  this was obviously before i married  the doctor involved...
later  i had another  solution to a quick entry  to any other crowded waiting room.....  the expression heard most often in any office is " where  did that pen go?" so i went on ebay and for $40  they sent 1000 pens-- with misprints-  wonderful pens... so i would take a shoe box full of pens and the receptionists were beyond thrilled...  better than chocolates..   now the pens are ( last i looked)  $40 + 20 postage... but they are still a terriffic buy..   we still have boxes full of pens.... they just are not in my drawer
separate problem...
*****
we had many comments about murphy--- poor dog...i had never seen a dog piddle green mixed  with blood and urine  --along with a few other massive problems-- skin -feet--ears--- elbows... megan is working overtime on him--along with running him next to the golf cart to loosen up his mind with exercise...  please no  more questions --for which i have no answers anyway....--- we are doing the best we can for the dog.  he should be fine....we will be using some of the fun fund to pay for all his meds...  so far $395... even at a discount...
*****
it is saturday--- hardly news to our astute camera crowd....  but usually steve shows up abput now with diced ham and chopped chicken ...why? you ask??... apparenelty he works at a school where the cafeteria personell save the diced ham and naked chicken ( all cooked)   and he brings it here for the dogs....  and if you believe they get all that diced ham, i have a bridge in brooklyn to sell you.--that ham-- with a bit of diced onnion and yesterday's eggs... is my favorite saturday breakfast...  he is usually here before 7 and teh dogs are barking...
time to wind this up and HOPE...

Hello Carlene and everyone! Rogue is doing awesome ! She just had her annual physical and the vet was very impressed with her behavior and how calm she was. Normally I try to get the female vet but we had an older gentleman and he was soo awesome with her. I was impressed because past experience not so great with male vet. Anyway she looks great weighs 125lbs. Eyes , ears and heart is great! She had her vaccines and she is all good. We are ready for our summer adventures. Rogue is so good with children but like Annie she becomes serious when her vest is on. She loves when her vest is on and we go out. She loves to be with us all the time and has been better about not knocking down my 22 month old by mistake ... rogue just loves her so much that she walks beside the baby and makes her trip or gets infront of her to stop her from waking. It is really funny in a good way. Rogue isn't rough or fast but gentle. She becomes very concerned about the baby and where she is. She still protective when strangers come near but is better about it. Anyway rogue has been very healthy no diarrah or vomiting but she did have one UTI but that was resolved with antibiotics... She enjoys just being close to me and the kids.

We enjoy watching explore on you tube and reading the daily doggie. I hope we can take a ride down soon on a Sunday. 4 kids have been a bit over whelming to go places at times but I will get down there soon!

Thank you soo much.
Melissa and rogue!

SINCE I'M A COUPLE OF YEARS OLDER THAN YOU, ALMOST 84, I SHARE YOUR FRUSTRATION WITH THE ELECTRONIC GADGETS, LIKE COMPUTER AND CAR.
YOU MIGHT BE INTERESTED TO KNOW THAT SOME COMBINATIONS OF BUTTONS ON YOU CAR KEY FOB HAVE A PURPOSE.
I DRIVE A HONDA MINI-VAN AND THE KEY FOB HAS 6 BUTTONS. I PARK IN THE GARAGE AND FOUND SOME OF THE CAR WINDOWS DOWN A COUPLE OF INCHES THE NEXT MORNING. I ROLLED THEM UP AND IN DRIVING I COULD HEAR WIND NOISE.
IT TURNS OUT THE MOON ROOF WAS OPEN A LITTLE BIT. SOMEHOW, I HAD PUSHED THE RIGHT COMBINATION OF BUTTONS TO OPEN THE WINDOWS AND MOONROOF A LITTLE BIT TO CIRCULATE THE AIR ON HOT DAYS. THIS CAN BE DONE REMOTELY TO COOL THE CAR BEFORE GETTING IN. ONLY THIS WAS IN DEC.
I WATCH YOUR WEBSITE, READ THE DOGGY DAILY, WATCH MAILCALL AND BUY CHICKEN BRICKS.
KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!

JUNE 2 2017
I ONLY INCLUDE THESE DETAILS OF YESTERDAY FOR YOUR EDUCATION  ABOUT WHAT I EXPERIENCED   CONFRONTING THE MEDICAL "INDUSTRY"  .-- KEEP IN MIND... I MAY HAVE ALL THIS WRONG.... BUT...
HISTORICALLY. THERE WAS/IS A WAR IN BOSTON BETWEEN TEHE OLDER ESTABLISHED MASS GENERAL HOSPITAL -- ( NOW REFERRED TO AS  "PARTNERS")  AND THE LAHEY GROUP-- BACK WHEN TOM WAS GETTING OUT OF PRACTICE, HE WAS COURTED BY BOTH PARTNERS AND LAHEY AND HE OPTED TO  'RETIRE ' WITH A PARTNERS ASSOCIATION.  CRITICAL - BECAUSE THAT MEANT ANY OF MY DOCTOR FRIENDS TEND TO BE "PARTNERS"  ( SOME EVEN READ THIS ..)  HOWEVER MY CLOSEST HOSPITAL IS OF TEH LAHEY GROUP....  WHEN THEY HAUL ME  OUT BY AMBULANCE AND THEY SAY CLOSEST-- I LAND AT LAHEY. ...
SO YESTERDAY - I KNEW I WAS HAVING RAPID HEART PROBLEMS...-- LONG AGO  I BOUGHT- ON EBAY AT 3 FOR $10 A PULSE/ OXYMETER THING WHICH GOES ON YOUR FINGER-- AND IT SAID 155- I HAD BEEN TOLD OVER 140 FOR NO SPECIFIC REASON MEANT TO GO FOR HELP.. I SAW NO REASON TO GO FOR AN AMBULANCE RIDE-- SO JUDY OFFERED TO DRIVE...  BLESS HER...

HISTORICLLY  I TRIED VERY HARD TO COLLECT ALL MY RECORDS  FROM LAHEY  AND  GET THEM TO DR.  BD GUPTA ( PARTNERS)  WHO I HAVE KNOWN FOR YEARS.  LAST MONTH,    BD DID EKG'S/ STRESS TESTS.ECHO ETC-( ALL FINE) DONE BY  A PARTNERS  HOSPITAL...
SO LINDA CALLED BD'S OFFICE AND WAS ON HOLD FOR ?25 MINUTES  BEFORE BEING TOLD TO CALL TEH DR COVERING HIM- SHE CALLED   DR "L"  SHORTER HOLD...18 MINUTES... AND DR "L' RETURNED THE CALL... NICE GUY- TOLD ME TO GO TO THE NEAREST PLACE TO GET AN EKG AND FAX IT TO HIM.   I TRIED.. I REALLY DID..

I HAD STUMBLED ON  A NEW MEDICAL OFFICE ABOUT 3 MILES FROM HOME WHICH WAS AFFILITATED WITH PARTNERS - AND CALLED THEM-- YES THEY HAD AN EKG... AND COULD GIVE ME AN APPOINTMENT FOR NEXT TUESDAY.. I SAID I HAD BEENTO D TO GET AND EKG AND FAX TO DR "L" --THAT STARTED  THE QUESTIONS..... " WHO WROTE THE ORDER?  THEY HAD NO RECORD OF AN ORDER..."  I SHOULD CALL 911 AND BE "PROCESSED " THRU  THE 911 SYSTEM...

I CALLED TEH NEXT CLOSEST EKG PLACE... THE LAHEY HOSPITAL ANNEX   WHERE WE TRAIN THE DOGS.. AND GOT  "YES WE HAVE A CARDIOLOGIST  BUT HE DOES NOT SEE EMERGENCIES-- CALL 911"  ----- NOW IF I CALLED  911   I KNEW  THE AMBULANCE AND 3 FIRETRUCKS WOULD ARRIVE IN MY DRIVEWAY ---- 6 BIG MEN IN BLACK UNIFORMS WOULD WALTZ INTO MY LIVING ROOM AND WE WOULD BE SCREAMING AT CHAOS NOT TO BITE THEM  WHILE WE  PRAY BENTLEY DOESN'T  GGET ANNOYED AS THEY STRAP ME TO A CARRYING DEVICE AND ALL 6 LUG  ME OUT THE DOOR....( I DID THAT A COUPLE MONTHS  AGO) --SO JUDY OFFERED TO DRIVE.

WHEN YOU GO BY AMBULANCE  EVERYONE  IN THE ER PAYS ATTENTION RIGHT AWAY...  IF YOU WALK IN.. YOU WAIT... THEY MAY RUN YOU THRU A TRIAGE SITUATION WHERE A NURSE MAY DECIDE IF YOU LOOK LIKE YOU ARE GOING TO KEEL OVER  OR GET SICK TO YOUR STOMACH...-- BUT YOU GO TO THE WAITING ROOM..

THERE IS A DIFFEERNCE HERE TOO.... IF YOU GO TO A N EMEERGENCY ROOM IN A SUBURB YOU WILL WAIT LESS.... BECAUSE IF YOU GO TO A EMERGENCY ROOM   IN --OR CLOSE --TO A CITY.....YOU WILL BE LUCKY TO FIND A "CHAIR" IN THE WAINTING ROOM.
IT IS MUCH MORE ENTERTAINING    IN THE CITY "ER" AS YOU SIT AND WONDER WHAT THE DIAGNOSIS IS FOR ALL THIS HUDDLED MASSES YEARNING TO BE SEEN BY A PHYSICIAN...  WAITING TIME IN THE LAHEY IN BEVERLY( CITY) WAS OVER 2 HOURS LAHEY SUBURB 15 MINUTES...
EVEN IN THAT CITY ER, THE ONES COMING IN BY AMBULANCE SKIPPED THE  WAITING ROOM-- THETE SEEMED TO BE SOME RULE, IF YOU CAME IN FLAT, HYOU STAYED FLAT .. MAYBE IN THE CORRIDOR, BUT FLAT ON A BED/GURNEY...
ONCE IN A ROOM IN THE ER... I WAS HOOKED UP TO  A THING WHICH  BEEPED AN  INSIGNIFICANT  ALARM EVERY 3-4 MINUTES  WHCH MEANT AN ATTENDANT CAM IN AND POKED A RESET BUTTON - SAYING SOMETHING IS WRONG WITH THIS THING.  IT GAVE JUDY AND I PLENTY OF TIME TO CHECK MY 3 FOR $10 METER AGAINST THIS $7000 ONE  WITH THE MISFIRING ALARM...
A VERY NICE-- PHYSICIAN CAME IN AND DISCUSSED WHAT TO DO ABOUT MY SPIKE IN  NUMBERS-- I LIKED HER APPROACH "LET ME GIVE YOU 1/2 A PILL AND SEE WHAT HAPPENS IN 30 MINUTES... JUST IN CASE YOU HAVE A BAD REACTION...-- I COULD DEAL WITH THAT... 30 MINUTES LATE MY PULES WAS BACK TO NORMAL-- SHE GAVE ME A SCRIPT AND WE LEFT...

THAT AS TEH LAHEY GROUP--- AND TEHY WERE VERY SPECIFIC-- YOU MUST SEE A CARDIOLOGIST IN THE NEXT 3 DAYS-- HERE IS THE LAHEY NUMBER.... AND IF YOU DON'T CALL THEM, THEY WILL CALL YOU....

MY TAKE AWAY?
***THE SYSTEM IS  " CALL 911  "
*** IT DOES  NOT PAY TO WASTE TIME CALLING YOUR DOCTOR'S OFF CE WHICH HAS A MACHINE THAT SAYS.. " IF THIS IS AN      EMERGENCY , HANG UP AND CALL 911-- OTHERWISE PUSH 2 FOR  TEH JANITOR""  --
*** SO FAR, WITH MEDICARE AND MEDEX, I DON'T SEEM TO GET ANY BILL FOR ANYTHING
*** AVOID CITY EMERGENCY ROOMS AT ALL COSTS...
***  3 TIMES NOW THE ER DOCTORS HAVE BEEN  WONDERFUL IN THE SUBURB TYpE ER's
***  IN THE CITY ER's YOU MAY NEVER SEE AN MD.....BUT   THE ASSISTANT TO THE PHYSICIAN'S ASSISTANT IS SYMPATHETIC AND JUST TRYING HARD  TO GET STERILE TECHINQUE DOWN PAT.
*** WHILE ALL THE  INSURANCE BUSINESSMEN ENJOY THEIR RETIREMENT FUNDS  HAVING SAVED MONEY FOR THEIR INSURANCE COMPANIES BY DECIDING  THAT LIVING IN GENERAL IS A  PRE -EXISTING CONDITION.
******
P.S..  1/2 A PILL WORKED-- I NOW CARRY ONE  IN  MY WALLER WITH  MY HEARING AID BATTERIES

Hi Carlene,

Wendy & I are doing good. The school year is almost done...June 23rd!  We are going on a school field trip on Tuesday to Boston with all of my 5th grade class. We are going to the aquarium, see an Imax movie, going to Faneil Hall and going on a duck tour. The bus company was going to take seats out for Wendy, but we told them we will be fine in the back of the bus since we've done it before. We have a step up day to middle school coming up in a couple weeks. We are excited for middle school and think everything will go great and Wendy will enjoy her naps there too! We have a few things planned for the summer and more to come for sure and we will update you.

One thing we are working on is planning a fundraiser, to benefit SDP and Boston Children's hospital.  We want to make sure it is ok to include SDP info on the design. We are still in the planning stages, but are getting the ball rolling. We are planning on selling reusable, probably canvas, bags. We hope we have your blessing.

We are hoping to visit down there soon and will be in touch!

Love,

Hunter & Wendy

june 1 2017
shocker of the day.....
along with alot of things i never thought would happen.. like credit cards and landing on the moon...
one of our canadian camera people , wanting to come to the usa for dog fest...., needed a letter proving they were not coming to volunteer and  take another american's job.

IT WOULD REALLY HELP ME GET ACROSS THE BORDER IF YOU COULD EITHER SEND ME AN E-MAIL OR A ‘SNAIL MAIL’ LETTER CONFIRMING THE DATE OF MY VISIT (JULY 19 TO JULY 25) TO “VISIT THE FARM AND LEARN ABOUT THE TRAINING PROCESS”.
SO SAD THAT IT HAS COME DOWN TO THIS   LOOKING FORWARD TO SEEING YOU ON JULY 19TH.

i did hear that on CNN, but i never thought --  i guess that is the problem... alot of americans  never thought unemployment would be addressed this way...-- just to prove how self centered i can be......   now i am panic'd that the farm down the street--  mariini's-- won't be able to import all those men from wherever to  work his fields.. he has done that for years... and the only  bad thing i ever heard was maybe he should improve his dormitory for them..    that fresh picked corn is something you just don't get in new york city-- or houston -- or san fran...--
i must remember to get a bushel of corn for dog fest as a do it yourself project. it won't be available if he has to count on the citizens of ipswich o plant and pick it....

so i guess anyone planning to come to dog fest- better address that problem and maybe stress that you are coming here to learn...something... and if you need a letter let linda know....  unbelievable !!

i wonder if that pertains to hockey players....if it does, then the stanley cup is sure to go to  canada...
******
thankfully goldie was on duty yesterday with the imovie project of trying to put together a 3 minute video of service dog project for a grtant...jenna was here interning on puppy duty and i happened to mention the $^%&*()_*&^%$^&*() video i had to suffer thru creating...- and she said she could... and boy could she...  she reached for the mouse and started to move pictures  and  explain how to do this movie bit... while my head was still on the fact that she was moving the mouse...
my reaction time has always been very slow- but compared to her... it was less than ridiculous-  i could not even follow her curser let alone her thought process.  then she found my computer would not record sound unless i bought a garage program---talk about  a logical  name-- i was all set to buy it when she set her phone down and said "we can use this just poke the red button"..  so i did that and  she poked it to stop and teh sound was already on the video we were making...  the speed was  terrifying me... one wrong button and it would be blasting from  the microwave... or my car.  couple more clicks and it was not 3 minutes 14 seconds but 2 minutes 58 seconds...  as needed.
how bizzarre is this thing??? the pictures were all slightly crooked so she undid the "ken burns effect"--  i could wonder where they got htat name...   but it was from ken, i am sure---- how couold i possibly have figuresd that out...
***
yesterday i said  i don't quit...  well allow me to revise that.... if i don't even try ... is that quitting???  there is no way i can catch up-- i am still dealing with right or left button on the mouse...
basic problem is  someone figured how to get 4 choices out of 2 buttons... right click once--right click twice-- left once-- left twice...
if they ever get to the right twice  plus   left once concept i am destroyed.  i at least know the words for that.... it is permutations and combinations.
i've got the concept OK....

how dare i question the  face down   hours kids spend texting on these powerful tiny machines...  i do hope a few of these kids take time out to learn to  dig a hole and plant some peas  or they will all starve while they text away...

there is stuff they don't know--  linda asked me where i learned the measurements of a 2 x 4 are actually 1.5 x 3.5 of "finished"   lumber..
or the fact that keroscene lying quietly in a puddle will burn-- while gasoline will expolde... or the fatter an extension cord, the better..

all those facts are on those little computer/phone things  --- but there is a "hitch"   computers don't give you time to learn by experience why keroscene must always get put in a blue container-- and gasoline in a red one.-- get that wrong just once and you could lose your life.
i wonder if someone did get it wrong- and had only a minor explosion - not getting killed--- how long would it take to figure out the relationship between the red/blue bang problem...

i do have one gasoline blow up  story... the movie "blown away"   blew up a ship in boston harbor- huge fireball etc....- and it took only 3 gallons of gas..  ( to do this they did stop traffic on the bridge and were supposed to  clear the tunnels ( not sure that got done) however--- big bang....3 galloons. and 2 weeks later the film company was still sitting in mcdonalds writing checks to people with cracked windows and chimneys up to 1/2 miles away.

i have been at this daily doggie so long , i can't remember what stories i have told.... hopefully there are new people who have not heard them...

(MAY HAVE BEEN BEEN PARAPHRASED)  "YOU GIVE THEM A GOOD LIFE.  THEN WHEN IT'S TIME, YOU LET THEM SLEEP. "
I DID THAT THIS MORNING WITH MY LOVELY CAT.  VET CAME TO MY HOUSE.  CAT AND I HAD SEVERAL HOURS ON THE SOFA TALKING ABOUT OUR LIVES TOGETHER.  HER BROTHER AND SISTER JOINED US. I  HAVE USED YOUR MAXIM SEVERAL TIMES WITH MY MATURE CATS.  THANK YOU....IT GIVES ME STRENGTH AND THE COURAGE TO DO WHAT IS RIGHT FOR MY PETS AND NOT WHAT MAKES ME FEEL GOOD.

THANK YOU,
