june 14 2015

my thanks to michelle--- for  the kindle and an introduction to it... i am now enjoying the book instead of
trying to balance an unwieldy wad of paper while turning  a page in bed...  it does work !!

it also does many other things which cindy tried to show me-- i had to stop her... i really don't care if it is able to predict the   sum of the  weather in fairbanks alaska for all tuesdays in 2017.  i want to read a book-- and i can do that- i did go so far as to use the dictionry function... which i never would do with a hard copy...  i have always had trouble with the alphabet.
******************
i always scan teh emails-- and this morning i quickly went to grace's  chuck update... thinking she had some vomit reporot--- however... she had a  photo of the new guinea  chicks who are living in the storage room of teh laundry.. ( the laundry room is now airconditioned... and too cold for new chicks...)
******
scarlott is nearly back to normal -- question now is   was it th e  doxy or mommy nature... let me be quick to say tehre  are times-- like symon-- when mommy needs  medical help... but....
mommy nature  is often sadly ignored and not given credit for cures when modern medicine had nothing to do with it...

**********************
yesterdays language   lesson  included TRI AXLE   which is a very big dump trucck with 3 axles in the back part  which dumpeed 23 tons of stone dust for the girqffe house.

i was doing pretty well spreading about 1/2 when  the tractor just quit... just in time for bud to arrive  and read teh manuals on how to find parts etc.. he got it going again (? a fuse... but why did it blow??)  and i will try and finish teh spreading so  sunday people can level it today.... then they can sit in there and enjoy it...

they will enjoy it more if the mister gets fixed.... those misters are wonderful when they work-- but currently i have purchased 2, had one replaced, and still only have one working...  i will call the outfit tomorrow, but i have to admit it is a little discouraging...i was about to order one for the giraffe house,  but have held off... auramist--- when it works it is perfect at "airconditioning " an outside area.

can we get bella  and george's  shirts to 600???   ( story below...)
*****
First off I want to welcome all our new friends! A little background, Bella is a 10 1/2 year old girl with Morquio Syndrome. She has had 10 major surgeries and has another one being scheduled. George is a 20 month old Great Dane that was donated to her from Service Dog Project. George helps Bella walk. He has given her so much independence and life back in her step. He has helped her get so much stronger. They have only been an official team for just over 4 months. But their bond is amazing!

Bella raises money every year for Boston Children's Hospital. This year she wanted to also raise money for Service Dog Project to thank them for George. So we helped her design these t-shirts. They have Bella's handprint and George's paw print on them. (Profile picture is the shirt). So all month long we have been taking preorders to raise money for these 2 great organizations. Tomorrow we will put the order in for all the T-shirts, and ship them out by July 1st.

As of now we have 570 preorders! Can we make 600? Possibly? It would be great if we could. It just helps our donation amount grow!

So once again here is the Link to order shirts: http://goo.gl/forms/ulNXVkBc0M.

Thank you all that have already bought shirts or donated in some other way. We truly appreciate it and we love our extended family! Love Bella and George

then the passing of a great servce dog-- she had a great life with jodi...

Cinder Ryan passed away early Friday morning. She would be starting her 13th year June 22. Great Danes don't usually live so long. She was happy and passed away with Stormy cuddling and me in front. She put her paw on me and we cuddled together as she was dying. No pain, no vets, just Stormy and I cuddling. She was outside running a little just a few hours before. Rest in Peace my beautiful friend and companion for all these years.

I DO NOT KNOW WHY THIS DID NOT POST... HERE AGAIN...
somebody around here seems to be into rice cakes---
instead of donuts,  the coffee counter has several packets of rice cakes in different shapes.
the label says they are the perfect snack food.

really????
just what part of snacking do rice cakes satisfy???..  the   noise factor???
i had to turn down my hearing aids to chew one..
maybe if i smeared a bunch of cream chease and jam ll over them
it would deaden the sound and make them palatable.

big excitement of the day is ... there are no excitement  to report... as yet...

the building still stands... needs a bit of house cleaning.... and another truckload of stone dust
and i want to get one of the tables i saw at the co op... basically octagional...
therefore improving the conversationalability of  it.
*****
for those who might never have thought..... a restaurant approved by  the deaf community
has round tables so teh sign language can be seen by everyone.

which reminds me....of my opinion..... that sign language should be the second language taught
in schools.. then it would be second to everyone..

the oldies here have heard me tell ---- all i remember of 4 years of spanish is  "esso si que es"
which is how you spell socks.
all i recmember of latin is thst   "impedimentia"   has somethign to do with too much luggage which impedes progress
and that word was used before  "overhead compartment"    was even thought of.

so much for my formal education.
i will refrain from my informal one..

we waved goodbye at one bunch of  CP's  and look forward to the next..

as for a wish list,  i wish someone would straighten out this #$%^&*&(*&$%  for typing
the mail and dd...

sometimes it makes an entire paragraph one line long--- off the screen
other times it skipslines and puts a spase between every line.

i have tried to find out how and why....  it is beyond me !!

any ability i had with  computers was superceded by a bunch of gerds who programmed
alot of automatic functions
very similar to my car's headlights  -- which i don't understsnd either..

somebody said i need to have headlights on if my windshield wipers are on...
this is causing me to try and drive  nearly blind  because i understand  "intermitten"
but i don't know if somebody mqade these headlights come on with the wipers...
so if i push the lights button, am i turning them on or off?  ... seeing as i drive only in daylight hours ( usually)
i can't tell if the headlights are on or off unless i park in front of some store  window..
which if i am dealing with brief showers means  stopping in front of some store  window....every
few minutes with the on/off problem.

today is not lambchop day because steve (#18 -meatcutting ) will not be here today
and i hardly recognized steve( #27... charlie's steve)  because his wife made him buy new bluejeans...so he looks different.

Hi Carlene & all you great people at SDP,
Princess Ruckus & I are very excited about our upcoming visit Thursday 6/18 & Friday 6/19. Yeah, Crazy Acres here we come. We have been so busy with end of school year. Princess Ruckus (PR) & I finished up with kindergarten & middle school. Then we got a surprise invite (gig) at Fairport High School were PR won many hearts. PR does so well with the kids & again it is such a teachable moment to introduce the concept of a Service Dog & how she helps me. At first I was concerned about PR handling a more crowed school (we had 150 students every period, 8 total) & the higher energy level of high school students. She was AWESOME!!! Thanks to SDP great training. I'm glad, because as a retired high school teacher that is were my heart lies. PR has helped me with my appointments at physical therapy & dentist. It is very emotional for me to be able to "walk" into these places without assistance. In fact I now go alone except for PR. I'm also able to navigate my yard for the first time in two years. I planted flowers while PR chased ants. She's so funny!! Carlene, while I'm at SDP I want to talk with you about what Lynne & Renee are doing with presenting to local First Responders. If you would allow that is something I would love to do so "let's talk." I've attached several pics of PR!! You can use this in DD, Facebook or where ever. Again, thank you is just not enough to say for the way Princess Ruckus has changed my life & helped me to remain independent. I love her:))!!! See you soon & no need to provide snow this time lol Princess Ruckus & Carolyn Sent from my iPad

FOR ONE REASON OR ANOTHER I HAD TO  DEFINE VOLUNTEERING  HERE AS USING WHATEVER TALENTS YOU HAVE  TO BENEFIT SOMEONE ELSE...      DOES THAT WORK??  AND -- HERE--- IT IS WORK... A JOB... AND SOMETIMES FUN...  BUT THE RESULTS ARE  OUTSTANDING...
******
TEH KIDS ARE ALL LINED UP FOR SUMMER... AND SOME  PEOPLE ARE CONTRIBUTING TO THAT INTERNSHIP PROJECT... I HAVE TRIED TO IMPRESS ON THEM.... THIS IS A JOB...YOU DON'T DECIDE TO SKIP IT AND GO FISHING.. OR SOME SUCH...
*****
JERI AND STEVE BOTH DID A FANTASTIC JOB WITH OUR GIRAFFE MOTEL--  THE FINAL EFFORT-- WAS SLIGHTLY CONFUSED BECAUSE I HAD TEH TARP UPSIDE DOWN.. --- WITH VERY LITTLE EFFORT WE DID REVEARSE IT... NOW THE LABEL IS UP FRONT !!

WE MADE IT..
HOWEVER   SOME MIGHT SAY  WE FAILED AT FIRST-- THERE ARE ALWAYS SOME LIKE THAT   COME UP WITH THE MOST NEGATIVE TEH FASTEST.   THE SKY IS FALLING.....  DRIVES ME NUTS.....

IF YOU DON'T TRY THEN YOU CERTAINLY WON'T FAIL.

WE ALSO DID NOT CENTER IT  BECAUSE I WANTED TO LEAVE IT AS OPEN AS POSSIBLE TO THE T TENT.  SO WE LIFTED THAt side MAKING IT POSSIBLE  TO GET THRU ( IF YOU CAN BEND )  OTHERWISE YOU GO ROUND TO THE FRONT.... THE HP ENTRANCE...

NEXT IS ANOTHER LOAD OF STONE DUST..  WHICH WILL COVER A MULTITUDE OF SINS... AND MAYBE ANOTHER TABLE... MOVE ONE FAN... AND WE ARE IN BUSINESS...
AND CAN FINISH THE 4 PIZZAS LEFT FROM YESTERDAY.

THOSE  AURAMIST FANS ARE WONDERFUL-- HIGHTLY RECOMMENED-- THEY APPARENTLY ARE ON AMAZON  BUT THEY DON'T TELL YOU YOU NEEED TO HAVE EXTRA FILTERS ON HAND AN D CHANGE ?  6 MONTHS.. THEY HAVE A WATER TANK AND DO NOT NEED A HOSE CONNECTION.
******
NOW  DOGFEST.....
I AM GETTING ALOT OF REQUESTS  OF WHAT TO DO OR OFFER FOR THE 2 DAYS...  MOSTLY   WE OFFER MEET AND GREET FRIENDS YOU HAVE NEVER SEEN BEFORE AND WANDER AROUND AND ENJOY THE DOGS ETC... PICKING POOP AS YOU GO..

I AM TRYING NOT TO HAVE  TOO MUCH... IF  ANY.. SCHEDULED EVENTS...  CAMERA MARK-- WILL BE IN CHARGE OF ALOT  LIKE THE GROUP PICTURE...... AND IF ANYTHING IS HAPPENING   HE CAN ANNOUNCE IT OVER THE MIC... WHEN PEOPLE COME HERE... THEY COME HERE... IT IS NOT LIKE THEY WILL BE IN BOSTON AND COME RUNNING OUT FOR A 3:00 EVENT...   IT IS A HANG OUT... AND ENJOY WHATEVER YOU CAN .AND LISTEN FOR MARK TO LET YOU KNOW WHAT'S HAPPENING.... WHERE...
'*****
SOMEONE DID COME UP WITH A GOODIE....
WHEN I WAS IN EDINBURGH, SCOTLAND-- I WAS TOLD OF A TRADITION OF WHEN YOU CLIMB A HILL , YOU TAKE  PEBLE FROM TEH BOTTOM AND PUT IT IN A PILE  AT THE TOP.. "A CARIN"--- I THINK IT WAS...
SOMEONE SUGGESTED DOGFESTERS  BRING A SMALL ROCK ( NOT BIGGER THAN 6" )  AND SOMEHOW WRITE YOUR STATE  ON IT... AND WE CAN MAKE A CARIN AT THE TOP OF PUPPY HILL.

THAT SOMEHOW SEEMS IN KEEPING...

SCARLEOT REPORT
she is already moving around more than yesterday.  she’s still really stiff, but much better.   THAT IMPROVEMENT IS REALLY TOO SOON TO BE LYME IMPROVEMENT FROM THE DOXY ( ??? GEORGE?) THAT IS NOW SOUNDING LIKE SHE GOT NAILED BY HER LIVELY DAUGHTER  MISCHA AND IS JUST BRUISED.... ... STAY TUNED... AND KEEP IN MIND I AM NOT A  VET... BUT JUST OPINIONATED....

THOSE WITH SOUPY POOPYS YESTERDAY ARE ALL BETTER TODAY--- JUST ONE OF THOSE  MISC OVEREATING-- OR SUCH...

OUR FIRST BOX OF EMPTY FOOOD BAGS IS GOING OUT TODAY FOR THE DESIGN PROJECT FOR AUGUST --- USING ONLY PURINA PRODUCTS RECYCLED.
I HAVE GREAT HOPES FOR TEH CREATIVITY TO SET IN.

DOGFEST.....
WE ARE GETTING ORGANIZED....  WELL...TINA IS ALWAYS ORGANIZED...

I HAVE MADE 2 EXECUTIVE DECISIONS-- THERE WILL BE A MINIMUM OF PLANNED ACTIVITIES-- THIS IS TO BE 2 DAYS OF WANDERING AROUND PICKING POO AND GETTING A FEEL FOR  HELPING   THE WAY CRAZY ACRES REALLY WORKS.... AND...  NO HANDOUTS--- OR  PREFERABLY DARN FEW ---AND THOSE WILL FIT IN SOMEONE'S POCKET..  I AM DOING MONKEY FISTS FOR EVERYONE---  BUT THERE WILL BE NO FREE HANDOUTS  PROVIDED BY COMPANIES WHO WANT THE ADVERTISING... ZIP..  NONE..-- OR AT LEAST NO ONE HAS PASSED MY INSPECTION  YET..

IN MY USUAL FASHION OF WORRYING ABOUT BEING HUNGRY, I WAS CONCERNED WE DID NOT HAVE  ANY FOOD PLANED FOR SUNDAY LATE  AFTERNOON/EVENING... AND MARK JUST REMINDED ME ABOUT THE BEN AND GERRY'S ICECREAM TRUCK... WONDERFUL IDEA.  PERFECT.. I  WILL TRY AND GET TEHM.  SATURDAY IS THE 19TH
SO WE WILL HAVE A BIG CAKE FOR THAT  !!!
**************
CERTAINLY  WE  MAKE NO DEMANDS OF RECIPIENTS.... AND MANY DON'T LIKE TALKING TO PEOPLE ANYWAY,,  BUT I PLAN TO PROVIDE A CORNER OF THE NEW "BUILDING" AS A CONVERSATION CORNER WHERE IS A RECIPIENT WANTS TO  TELL PEOPLE ABOUT THIER DOG,  THAT WOULD BE THE PLACE.... WHICH ALSO MEANS IF A RECIPIENT IS WANDERING AROUND ENJOYING THE DAY.  ..... THEN IT IS A WORKING SERVICE DOG  AND  YOU LET THEM WORK...

IT HAS ALSO BEEN SUGGESTED WE HAVE NAME TAGS FOR THE DOGS---
***********

IT IS QUIET THIS MORNING   SO WE MAY BET THE TENT COVER UP-- OR TRY TO.... AS SOON AS MEGAN GETS HERE... THER IS NO WIND AT THE MOMENT.... WE DON'T WANT TO LIFT THAT SAIL WITHOUT BEING PROPERLY WEIGHTED DOWN...

Hello Carlene and everyone at SDP!
Things are going great here with Lola. In March we had the Sunday Stew with the local Floridians, it was wonderful. It was nice to give some people a chance to meet a SDP Dane for the first time. Lola also met a nice puppy friend and got to run zoomies in the back yard. It was a great day with lovely people.
We also did a MS Walk as well. It was so sweet crossing the finish line. They gave Lola a medal right along with us humans. It was also great because there were many people there interested in Lola and so we got to spread the word about SDP!!
I've recently shown such great improvements and strength that my doctor has started me back with physical therapy! Lola had a hard time at first, not understanding that I'm on the floor on purpose. Or when they test my gait, that sometimes I have to walk without her. But she's doing so much better and not minding the more frequent naps she gets to take now!!
She has been such a blessing. We miss you all so much!! Michelle, Melanie & Miss Lola

w/r/t feed bags........and  the creative use thereof... ... i don't want the ideas... i want  them done-- and on "exhibit"  late in august...come on with the creative  talent you all have--come up with some wierdo things... a regular desk stapler worked fine for  miss purina's dress... only stipulation is that  you use only purina products -- the purina name does not have to show---  the white dress is the insides of the bags... - structural  duct tape or wood etc is acceptable... but  99% of the visual must be  all from purina products.
*****
i am getting alot of suggestions on how to put up the cover on the building....all wonderful ones--with perfectly good ideas--- often assuming perfect conditions--which in reality reduces  the process to slinging ropes around banging each other in the head with monkey fists- and we have not even taken the top out of the box yet...  it comes with big warnings... do not attempt to handle this if it is windy... i have visions of hanging on to a corner while drifting over puppy hill, just as sheila obrien comes to do the accrediation inspection.
just get ready... if it goes without a hitch, it will be some kind of miracle.
***
i am now operation under the philosophy of... clearspan would give us exactly the pieces we need... haveing any left overs  is not a good sign.
jerri and steve  (cp's from ohio) are an amazing pair-- i can not believe they can work so well together and not had one arguement...and they are getting  a tremendous amt done !!  current ly going back over all the "joints"  putting in 2 self tapping screws and checking nuts   and  turnbuckles... absolutely amazing..  i would have had to shoot my husband  if i had to work as they have for the past few days...
***
and  then in the complaint department- i try and keep everyone aware of what is going on... but sometimes i can't.. or won't--or don't have time to go into the nitty gritty details that make  no difference anyway.. people have  other lives  which interfere with sdp... people get overtired and need less strenuous lifestyle...thankfully  this place suits alot of people for volunteering efforts--- but it is not for everyone...
*****
we have a couple medical issures to deal with today... apparently scarlott is  not feeling well--- stiff etc...does not sound good ...?lyme??
and we have a couple loose stools--- which always make us nervous-- but could be within the norm... we just don/t know...
and then there is mixing opal and mariah.
that could get exciting...  opals  neck is all healed from the last go round...--- i will  speak to both of them today..

*********************
from another ky dog person....who has cuba (2009)Well I'm sorry the KY vet has been a disappointment.Cuba is fine. I've never had a dog that loved me so much. Nor a prettier one. Nor one that i loved so much.
She has become somewhat bossy at times. Sometimes she gets me up (no ignoring her) to get a snack. Last night, paw in my face at 3AM, she took me to the fridge, on top of which is the only place we can store food out of her reach. We had a pizza on top. After two pieces she went back to bed. No big deal. I love her and we all have our quirks.

Hips are still good but I give her a "leg-up" when getting in the car. She rides with me daily and when she getting in, I put my knee under her butt and lift her into the car. She never could jump in with low ceiling.

You are a brilliant woman. I can remember you pissing me off big time in the past, but I now finally have grown to appreciate your intelligence.Very few could do the "Daily." i have very fond memories of Tinker and Tony and Chestnut street.  Youhave great girls. Just didn't want to be considered one of the "missing."
Over and out......Tommy

Hi Carlene and all at SDP,

I just wanted to let everyone know that Jonah is doing great.  I can't believe it's already been over 3 weeks! Jonah likes to be anywhere the kids are at all times.  He seems to really adore them like our last Dane.  It's very sweet and the kids equally adore him.  Caden (our 5 year old boy) helps me practice basic commands with Jonah such as "down" and it amazes me how a 130 pound Dane listens so well to a 45 pound boy.  Jonah's Vet appointment went well.  The vet did not have any concerns and we got the summer 2015 vaccines.

Jonah and I have been jogging a lot in the early AM and at night.  He is much cheaper than a personal trainer ;) He is doing well learning to "trot" at my pace on the leash beside me.  He also stays right with me when I let him off leash at a field nearby to run.  There have been a couple of occasions when Jonah has tried to jump up on me (my side) out in our backyard.  I think this is when he gets over excited and really just wants to play.  I have been very firm with him each time and we will continue to work on that to ensure it does not continue.  If Megan or Steve have any thoughts on this please do let me know.

Jonah has been great with all of the neighborhood dogs, kids and adults we have met.  He is such a sweet boy who loves to give kisses.  We are so grateful to have him.

Best,
Christine

super  camera person leaving this morning---     what a shame  --- but she has a husband and other animals to go home to.. in calif.

last night she tried to get me on a program to improve mental capabilities...  a free  lumoosity or some such..-----i couldnt't get it past "loading"--  but thi s morning  it was apparently loaded--- so i fooled with it-- and after it told me where i needed improvement, it said it could help me with memory...... for $12 a month... -- but the interesting part was in small print it said "recurring billing"- and it already knows my memory is bad-- so naturally they want to bill me monthly   automatically  !!  .

so i am afraid  you all will just have to deal with my unimproved memory.....  sort of like an external memory drive.
*********
we had a bunch of kids here from the cottings school  in lexington-- a wide range of special needs.-- had a fine time--( no accidents)
even got one very timid student to pat bailey..  they stayed a long time and ended with a visit to the teepee... for lifetime experiences, their visit was a successful one...   i sent them home with a sample poo picker  as a perfect project for them to do and send...

i think i will do an explore blog on " the picking of poo".. i do feel as my qualifications in that field are unsurpassed.-- even that woman from  teh UK who gave a lecture on her newly invented chunky vomit picker had to admit my used poo-pickers got bagged and tossed, and she was left with a dirty vomit picker.

************
camera people (the ohio couple)  have finished the cables on the building... so we are coming down the homestretch to  trying to get the cover over the top...  this will be a challange...  mostly because  the side i had hoped to start has a light  pole i forgot about
maybe today we can toss the ropes over t he top and get ready..

even better yet... find the directions and see if we can benefit by their experience in doing this...
***
i remember....... when explore hired the guy to put that camera way up in the tree, he had some very effective slingshot deal to get the rope upa and over to begin with...... and that is wht the monekey fists were origionally used for... throwing ropes between ships

after all my squaking about staying in touch...  and promises i heard.... i have not heard from crimson's partner in kentucky ----they swore they would stay in touch...  really?????...

it is time to work moriah back into the house bunch... will not be easy as she and opal can not be left alone......i will try and remind them that allies are people/dogs  with common enemies.... me !!

rose doggy gets teh  prize--- whatever that is... for theses "portable  laps" made from the discarded blue jeans of many camera people which she stuffed and  sewed  into comfy  puppy pillows-- the dogs love them--- and we laugh every time we look at them...

not only that -- but the huge boxes they came in have been everythgn from a cave to sleep in -- to a chew toy...

ok... rose doggy... now for some creative use of the purina produce bags.. for some "show" in either august  or at dogfest......  i think it would be to our advantage to see if we could come up with some things thay had not thoutght of themselves..  my "miss purina"  who 'gave us a hand'  is popular.. (and her dress  is put together with a desk stapler)
they( purina) senty another load of dog food yesterday-- 8 pallets --- the dry/wet  have  different order numbers so wet will arrive separately..i assume...
we/you  ---- as a community have  tremendous creative tallent-- so let's get it in motion.... what can you make of recycled dog food bags...???

if you can not come up with bags and labels of purina procucts from you r own use or friends.. i could send some empty  bags... they are light.
and this could be to our advantage so the expense of postage  is worht the  gamble.

depending on the  general effort... maybe having a "showing " at dogfest  would be .... to our advantage...   we could set up tables in the arena to display them-- and it would be opn camera...

june 8 2015
maybe some of the strange ideas i get are from leaving the tv on overnighty and the subliminal messages get  implanted     .i must call  1-800 xxx-xxxx  that is 1 800 xxx-xxxx and buy the worlds finest cucumber pealer  and if i call in the next 20 minutes i can double the order for shipping and ahndling for an  addtional 32 dollara and  64 cents....
why would i need a cucumber  pealer?  because  the next thing on line is a soushi chef showing  me how to wrap raw fish in pealings with white rice after dunking his hands in  something to stop the rice from sticking and allowing him to move quickly  so that his body temperature does not affect the quality of th e raw fish.
great !
.... i thought we cooked food to get rid of some of the problems of raw food... like it says at the bottom of restaurant menus." eating raw foods might be dangerous to your  health"i hate to think of  the time i have wasted cooking food for the past 40 years when i could  have just fed these kids raw stuff  like that friend of mine who gave her boys a cup of horse feed on thier way to catch the school bus...( and those boys  are now 6' plus and climb trees for a living)actually my kids did a fair amt of eating raw --- vegtables at least... i did have a garden in lynnfield... mostly early hatching peas  and corn-- i would tell gwen and janine to go shell and eat peas for 7 minutes then come in to the kitchen  for the meat course... and they do know how to pull up a carrot and wipe it off in your armpit before eating it.
.......mentioning armpits   reminded me of the atrmpit story qabout keeping sperm worm... whihc reminded me that moriah has ceased to become interesting to males.. specifically walter ( who has not been known to be a particularly enthusiastic suitor)   and  also grommet who was so good at whispering sweet nothings in moriah's ear.  he had no interest in her ear- or anywhiere else.  so   63 days  and counting...

sunday shatupon stew was a wonderful day-- we had many recipients back and they are doing beautifully with their dogs... our #1 exhibit was bella and george...interestingly  george hopped out of their car -- and greeted several of his siblings and megan-- and turned to keep his eye on bella.  they were here to have a go at wheelchair practice..  they ahd to go to some building whith good floor because the roughness of our parking lot was confusing george...  when they returned from the hotel, george had that look of "i got it" about him.
bella is due for knee surgery tuesday and will be in a chair for a while.the shocker for sunday  was a couple applicants who did not know qabout  the doggie daily ... or why such a fuss over chickens and numbers.there is something we are not doing right... we must make sure everyone knows about our support  from the shatupon society-- and-- when i write this dd i always assume a certain level of past knowledge..  like.... someone new to this daily doggie will not know aobut keeping sperm live in your armpit... kind of thng-- or why i spell the way i do.... sp pass the information around better.
..*****************
i must practice wheelchair riding.. beentley si a very enthusiastic puller-- not a problem...letting him pull my chair - all i can think of is a bowling alley where people fly sideways to avoid the out of control flying object  which is bentlye and me....... it is the steering..i keep careening into walls-- or people- megan says it is a simple case of leaning....ok......
there is a section of a mall which is relatively desearted...i  will try..with my sprained ankle, i am frustrated with the home depot and costco electric scooters-- they are goverened so slowly... if i had bentley pull me in an normal chaitr it would take 1/10th the time.  i am good for  walking 30 or 40 feet- then i need to sit or balance on something. my husbands words echo in my ears."if you weighed 20 pounds less, it would n't bother you so much"  he used that expression  all teh time... even if i had athletes foot...  that is not saying he was wrong... he was just eliminating any complaint... by presenting an impossible solution.

Sienna/Maria update early summer, Hi guys, it's been awhile and i wanted to say hi and give an update on Sienna and i.  We have been paired nite for 6 months and it has truly been a blessing! !!  We have been going on field trips with the girls, fishing with daddy and have become fan favorites at giovannis subs.  I am truly grateful to SDP for pairing us, she has made such a wonderful impact on my life which has aided me in impacting my family life as well.   She provided me with courage, companionship and walking aid allowing me to do so much more than i could before she came. She has been a godsend and increased the quality of my life tenfold.   My family and i send our thanks and praise to SDP,Carlene, the volunteers, the CPs and everyone who has made Sienna possible for me.  Carlene White you truly change lives for the better! !!
Thank you all so much. -
