WE ARE BLESSED WITH THE ROVING PANCAKE STOOLS--- YOU KNOW YOU ARE IN TROUBLE WHEN YOU CAN HEAR THEM FIRING AWAY---  AND AS HAPPENS WITH PUPPIES, IS THEY DON-T UNDERSTAND  WHERE THE NOISE IS COMING FROM-- SO THEY TRY TURNING AROUND AND LOOKING ( WHILE  SQUIRTIHNG)  WE HAD NEARLY A PERFECT CIRCLE DONE BY MURPHY-- I WAS GOING TO PUT IT ON LINE  BUT MOVING THE CAMERA WAS SECONDARY TO CLEANING IT UP BEFORE THEY STEPPED IN IT...

 

I HAVE SEE THE PERFECT CIRCLE  TWICE BEFORE... BOTH WITH BIGGER DOGS ..... I.E.  BIGGER CIRCLE--ONCE IN AN AIRPORT IN GERMANY WITH A LARGE PUP I WAS IMPORTING... AND THE OTHER WAS POO DEAGLE-- WHO WAS VERY EMBARRASED IN OUR LIVING ROOM.

 

YESTERDAY'S CASE WAS MINOR BY COMPARISON...

 

THE STOOL SAMPLE WE SENT TO GEORGE CAME BACK GIARDIA AND ROUNDWORMS-- WELL WE KNEW TH EROUNDWORMS-- IT IS TIME AGAIN ( LIKE EVERY 2 WEEKS AS PUPS.).. BUT THE GIARDIA-- VERY COMMON-- THANKS TO TH E  CANADIAN GEESE.

 

SO TODAY'S JOB IS WHO GETS 1/8TH OF A PILL OF WHAT...AND FOR HOW LONG..

I KNEW IT WAS EATING MY SOX AND SUCH-- BUT I REMEMBER BUYING 3 SETS OF COTTON  LONG JOHNS  WHICH SHOJULD BE ... ON ON ME...ONE IN EHT WASHER... ONE IN THE DRYER

 

BUT IT DOES NOT WORK LIKE THAT.

I DO NOT UNDERSTAND.

 

  THE ONLY POSSIBILITY IS THAT THE DRYER IS NEXT TO THE OVERFLOW ROOM-- AND THAT GETS WORSE BY THE DAY

I THINK I NEVER SHOULD HAVE PLOWED LAST NIGHT---   I REMOVED ALL THE SLUSH- THAT HAD IN  PLACES RUTS THAT WERE  6"  DEEP -- SO I PLOWED IT SMOOTH-- AND GUESS WHAT??? IT FROZE-

 

THIS IS ONE TIME WHEN GREAT DANES ARE DANGEROUS--  THEY HAPPILY COME AT YOU LIKE A BIG BOWLING BALL AND DOWN YOU  BOTH  GO IN A HEAP.

 

I CAN TRY AND GET THE TOWN SANDER TO COME IN HERE AND LOOP AROUND-- BUT IN THE MEANTIME- I AM NOT SURE ANYONE CAN EVEN GET UP THE DRIVE BEFORE ANY SUN COMES OUT-- IF YOU DO... COME IN THRU THE GARAGE AND GET ON ALL THE  ICE WALKER THINGS WE HAVE BEFORE TRYING TO GET NEAR THE DEAGLE HOUSE...

 

THE TRACTOR IS FACING OUT IN THE GARAGE   BYT I CAN'T EVEN GET DOWN THAT HILL WITHOUT SLIDING SIDEWAYS-- WHICH ALSO WOULD SUGGEST IF YOU DO GET THIS FAR--- DO NOT PARK OPPOSITE THE GARAGE....  I HAVE SLID OFF THE HILL INTO THAT PARKING PLACE MORE THAN ONCE.  THERE IS A BIG PILE OF SNOW WHICH STOPS ME FROM LANDING IN TH EFLAT FIELD.

 

I DID NOT "DE-RUTT" DOWN TO THE BARN-- SO I DON'T KNOW WHAT SHAPE THAT IS IN..

 

FROM VISUAL ONLY-- IT LOOKS LIKE WE HAD ANOTHER INCH  OF SNOW ON TOP OF MY PLOW JOB-- SO IT MAY NOT BE GLARE ICE--

FOR CHARLIE  WE SENT THE EXPLORE OFFICE A PHOTO OF THE ONLY CANDLE I COULD FIND (6 INCHES)  GLUED TO THE TOP OF A CAN OF DOG FOOD  AND LIT...- WITH A HAPPY BIRTHDAY SIGN LEANING AGAINST OLIVER..

- ACTUALLY--- THEY OWN A COMPANY WHICH HAS SEVERAL BOX TRUCKS---- MIGHT BE A BETTER WAY FOR HIS SORE KNEES TO GO...

FLYERS IN THE MAIL-- SO I PUT TOGETHER AN ORDER-- ON PAPER WITH PRICES- AND DECIDED TO DO IT ONLINE...  INSTEAD OF TYPING IN THE SKU'S, I CLICKED "BAKED POTATOES" OR WHATEVER-- AND I NOTICED A FEW $$ DIFFERENCE IN PRICE FROM MY "FLYER"   SO I CALLED AND THE PERSON SAID THERE WAS A DIFFERENCE IN PRICE BECAUSE OF A DIFFERENCE IN THE SKU ENTERED... WAS IT THE SAME PRODUCT??  YES.--  TURNED OUT EVERYTHING  I ASKED FOR WAS UP TO $5 LESS IF I STUCK TO MY GUNS AND ASKED THEM TO FIND THE LEAST PRICE.

 

THEY DID THAT.. AND  GIFTED ME THE  2 POUND HAM PROMISED ON THE  FLYER.

 

THEN  SHIPPING WAS $24 ----  BUT IF  I ORDERED A MANGERS SPEC ( OF 6 STEAKS AND A FEW OTHER THINGS) FOR $39.00  SHIPPING WOULD  BE    FREE-----SO FOR $15.00 I GOT  A GOOD SIZE COMBO..

 

THEN IT CAME TO THE-- IT WILL BE THERE MONDAY--- I ASKED ( HOLDING MY BREATH ) WHAT IT WOULD COST TO HAVE IT DELIVERED ON SATURDAY   -- THAT WAS NOT $30 MORE----   BUT ONLY $5 MORE.

 

SO THIER PRICING IN GENERAL IS STRANGE - AT LEAST TO ME.  SO BE CAREFUL...

firstly i would give a pretty penny to see what  if anything is happening at the post office in rochester nh right now.   things mailed Friday and Saturday might be coming in now... i would expect the bulk tues/wednesday...

  i must figure out the batteries on the 2 cameras.... explore's sony which says i have 176 minutes---- which i don't trust  and th egopro which says i have 56 minutes with the additional battery pack-

and i don't trust that one either.  experience comes from bad experiences.

 

my goal is to get enough film  for bob to sort into some meaningful video like he did the last one..- and to get that done aon a daily basis  so maria can take the memory cards home with her..

 i have   one mpre [rpoblem  that needs more help every day.......... and i spent an hour on it yesterday.... this fool email   prints itself out size 10-- i need it in size 14 because of what looks like dog slobber on myu glasses-- i have been advised to try cleaning my glasses-- or having surgery-  neither appeals to me.- so increasing the print is the next option.

the big dog news is the 3 nuppies have graduated to  what used to be called the living room (place with the fireplace)

they are really nice pups ( except for an ear infection....) 

lu - of east coast assistance dogs-- was here and told me she has a few dogs as  "facility dogs"  basically for places associated with weterans-- where they have a semi permant job as therapy dogs..-

 

that might be a great plan for these 3 pups.--

 

they have such good shape and size  we should keep our eye on them as breeding  dogs...and as facitilty dogs --  being the only dogs in  a residential situations they woul d not have to be neutered-- if they show no complications of being  left "entire"  

 

a good example is bumpy--  he has no interest in his sexuality ----- until necessary--- then he has perfect aim without wasting any time.

 

if those 3  prove to be like him, we should  keep them  working around here where we can find them ...   that would leave us 25 pups for next year... 7 + 8+10 --  a very respectable number   finished by the end of 2014 

 

and we have to keep thinking now of the following year... sounds strange but get your pencdils out... 

 

also chaos is either in heat or is getting a vag infection-- bently is fascinated

.......................'says a lot for the male instincts..

yesterday ----a   great corned beef and cabbage  birthday  party for maria------i thought about having it in th e house because of the pups, but since the floor does have a pequiliar spring to it, i thought better the guest house with the concrete base. There were quite a few people there.

  ron??? how about some lally columns???

 

and we met 2 new vets- who seemed to fit right in-   i forget her name-- but  i think the guys name was "albert"   I REMEMBER HIS NAME BECAUSE i almost roared into albert and the lion  - of stanley halloway fame...-- the one where albert, at the zoo  shoves a stick in a lions ear and gets eaten and regurgitated before the parents can collect the life insurance-- it is a very long poem that i used to know pretty well.. so i remember his name.

 

if he is here next Sunday maybe we can have a poetry session-- or better yet google it... 

 

those monologes of stanley halloway are worth reading..

there is another one about noah argueing with the lumber salesman about the

price of some nice birds eye maple to panel the side of his bunk as the water rises to his chin....

somehow the sony is easier bedcause it  has a button for individual functions-- the go pro has only 2 buttons which are multi tasked by sequences  ... 2 pokes on button  S---  followed in 4 seconds by 7 pokes on button P-- turns it on... things like that are very difficult or me-- especially when it does not do what it is sup[osed to

which is why all th ego pro films start with a photo of my nostrils-- i am just trying to see if i turneed it on or off.

WE THOUGHT OF HAVING IT HERE IN THIS HOUSE  BUT EVERY TIME EVEN A LARGE DOG WALKS BY THE FLOOR KIND OF "GIVES"   SO WE MIGHT BE VBETTER OFF IN THE GUEST HOUSE WHICH IS ON A CONCRETE SLAB.

 

RON -----ANOTHER JOB FOR YOU IS TO PUT IN A COUPLE OF THOSE SCREWUP 4"IRON POSTS IN THE CELLAR  BENEATH MY DESK-- IT HAS NOT SPILLED MY COFFEE YET-- BUT IT IS MAKING WAVES.

BUT  FOR A VERY LONG TIME I BLAMED THE DOGS FOR A STREAM WHICH WENT ACROSS THE  KITCHEN FLOOR AND ENDED  UNDER THE FRIDGE-  -- THEN I WORRIED I HAD VERY SICK DOGS BECAUSE  THE STREAM WAS CLEAR AND FOAMY-- IF I HAD CALLED GEORGE I WOULD HAVE NEVER HEARD THE END OF IT- FORTUNATELY WE NOTICED IT WAS NOT COMING OUT OF A DOG -- BUT THE DISHWASHER...-- WHICH BY NOW IS AT LEAST ONE INCH OUT OF "PLUMB"- AND TAKES 2 BIG BATH TOWELS TO COLLECT IT.  HOW IT GOT TO BE CROOKED I DO NOT KNOW... JUST ONE OF THOSE MYSTERIES OF LIFE.

firstly-- thank all of you who are helping with this

 "the world is watching"  pink envelope---- campaign-

  i already got an email from  mike hopkins who is the superintendent of th e rochester nh school system,- with his plans to stop bullyng jocelyn's  service dog.. TEAL---. well-- here  you all read my very first copy an d paste of the day.

Dear Carlene,

The announcement will be made over the PA on Monday. An announcement is universally ineffective in every school. The administrators will be going around to each classroom to talk with students, it will be put into the Howler, it will be discussed at the next staff meeting. I have asked the Positive Behavioral Support Team (PBIS) to consider how they might help students and staff understand the correct behavior in this incident.

jocelyn  may be a tiny little thing  but there is a lot of tonnage behind her.

getting on with  the rest of life...

i need to get out walking with the dogs... oliver- according to megan is doing a super job with her-- but it remains to be seen how he will do with anyone else.  because of that... i need to walk...

and since i bsically gave up walking for the winter- and just deal with computer things.. i need to get in shape ( i use that term loosely)

to that end,  i chose  to wear my black sox this morning-and got 10 minutes worth of exercise putting them on.  they are stretch sox  made for socceer players  . earline bought them for me $14.  the reason she did was the sox that the doctor  said i should have were the exact thing except medicare would be billed $1234 for medical equipment.

they are terriffic sox-- as sox go- i mean at 75 years old, i have had a lot of experience putting on sox... but  i never have dealt with sox that are labeled   R  and   L.

i am very unhappy to report that i have put  them on the wrong feet and don't have th e stregnth to change them..  i burned 22 calories getting them on./.

this brings up another sticky subject-- ann getchell-- a friend of mine  who reads, writes, and spells things perfectly---, keeps telling me it is poor writing to use  extra words-- most offensive to her is HAVE..-- that last sentence "i have put them on the wrong feet-- should clearly- according to ann-- be i put them on the wrong feet. my appologies to anyone forced to interpret the meaning incorrectly.

perfection is expensive- and in many cases i am not sure why..  take Earline's ability to mINTAIN A PERFECT HAIRDOO amid all sorts of squalor.  people struggle to copy that perfect hairdo   --- I have never heard of anyone struggling to copy my hair do

annie is one of the 3 merle girls annie bella and maude born 2003- getting up there. we see bella often-- and last i heard maude went thru the panama canal on some cruise-- and spends summers in deer isle maine.

 annie had her annual physical. The vet was very please with how annie looked for being 9 and a half. She has two fatty lumps but nothing to worry about. Vet was immpresed with her calm behavor and how well she listened. Thank you so much for annie.. she is the best. She still alerts me for many things but sometimes she sleeps through. I think she is so used to the kids making noise she just sleeps through it. She loves her walks and running around the yard. Everyday she looks out the window until my daughter gets off the bus. She loves the kids and loves to paw at them for attention and hugs.

annual physical- a bit of strange language to me-- and i hate to agree with george-- but annie has always had the annual physical- and seems to survive  very nicely--  which made me wonder about this "pet insurance"--

paula was here last night-- she carries insurance  on her two- and it really paid off when one of her pups ate a sock to the tune of $1700 - which they paid. it might be something to look into-- vets are getting very expensive  ( sorry george)

this is how blue cross started with  medical dr.. sounds great and works well to start- but  15 years down the road and they are saying - see 15 patients per hour -- not 4-   and we will pay your $8 per patient for  a  office code 65830  unless you can justify code 65830b   and we will give you 80% of the $8. if you accept the assigned blue cross $6.40 we will send you the money-  if not we will send th money to the patient who will go to bermuda on your money.

somwhere along the way when i was computerizing tom's billing i calculated that for a $20 office visit, he was netting  $6.83  and the rest was office expense/paperwork. we were better off with gertrude who gave us a coffee can of home made beans every Saturday night.  she never got charged anythignng.
