THE MECHANICS THERE HAVE HAD A HARD TIME  EVER SINCE I GAVE UP DRIVING THOSE OLD AMBULANCES.  I LOVED THOSE VEHICLES-- AND TEH NOISE MAKING DEVICES  ON THEIR ROOF'S... AS I AGED, I ENJOYED HAVING THE GENERAL PUBLIC JUST GET OUT OF MY WAY AT INTERSECTIONS..  OF COURSE THERE WAS TEH ADDED ADVANTAGE OF  BEING ABLE TO FIND THEM IN A PARKING LOT. PLUS THEY HAD CABINETS FOR COLLECTING CRAP...  THE LAST ONE SERVED AS A PLACE TO KEEP BAGS OF DOG FOOD WHICH... FOR A YEAR  WAS RAT PROOF-  ONCE TEH RATS DISCOVERED IT THEY PUT DOWN A HIGHWAY THAT WOULD PUT RT 66 TO SHAME AS THEY SET UP THEIR OWN STORAGE SYSTEM UNDER THE HOT TOP OF THE ALLEYWAY BY THE DONKEY STALL.. 

RODENTS MAKE AN INTERESTING STUDY-- FIRSTLY -- HOW WE HAVE T RAINED KIDS TO THINK RATS ARE EVIL--  PERSONALLY  I FIND RATS TO BE A CONSTANT IQ TEST AND  ETIMES I DON'T DO AS WELL AS THEY DO.  THERE IS A CHIPMONK I HAVE KNOWN FOR 3-4 YEARS NOW-- IT RUNS ACROSS THE DRIVEWAY FROM LAUNDRY TO  CHICKEN COOP  EVERY  HOUR OR SO.. ALL SUMMER. IT IS A WIDE OPEN RUN ACROSS TRAFFIC DESPITE HAWKS AND RIDICULESSLY  INADEQUATE GREAT DANE PUPPIES TRYING TO CATCH IT.   WHEN YOU HAVE CHICKENS-- AND FEED THEM BY TOSSING CORN ONTO THE GROUND, YOU HAVE  "RODENTS" OF ALL VARIETIES.

SPEAKING OF  RODENTS, THE PEOPLE FROM FLORIDA TO TENNESSEE ARE HAVING A PROBLEM WITH LARGE RODENTS.... VERY LARGE RODENTS.. EXTREMELY LARGE  RODENTS.. IN THE FORM OF WILD PIGS  --  THEY ARE SUPER ADAPTABLE-- THEY EAT ANYTHING AND  ARE INTELLIGENT.  A FEW YEARS AGO WE WERE AT SOME ADI CONVENTION AND I TOOK A RIDE ON THOSE SEGWAY THINGS AROUND A PERFECT COMMINUTY.. I ASKED THE GUIDE WHY ALL THE FLOWERBEDS WERE  TORN UP AND WAS SHOCKED TO HAVE HIM SAY  "PIGS".. I COULD NOT FIGURE OUT HOW IN THE  MANY ACRES OF HOT TOP- THAT THESE OVER 100 POUND ANIMALS COULD HIDE AND SURVIVE... BUT THEY ARE NOT ONLY SURVIVING.   BUT THRIVING.  I AM TOLD THEY ARE A THREAT  TO FARMERS CROPS - AND MOVING NORTHWARD...

Bella and George had a great day at school. Bella has been working on using her foot more but the outcome is that by the end of the night her hip is really bothering her. She wants to keep trying even though she is sore. George is getting back in the routine of working since he has pretty much had the last 

 6 weeks off. Even though he stayed with Bella he was t really helping her walk. He either walked with her as she was in the wheelchair or he walked next to her while she used 2 crutches but now after a 6 week vacation he has to get back to work. This girl needs her pal again. This is just the beginning of a 

 long road of getting bella back to running and riding her bike. We still have to consider doing the left foot once this one heals enough. But looking at the before and after pictures of her feet even though they are full of scars they look more comfortable. Tonight she climbed in bed around 5:30 and didn't 

 really leave it again. Learning to walk again takes a lot of work and effort. She is happy to have her puppy sleeping with her again now that it is colder. Bella's goal is to be able to walk up to Dr. Karlin in 2 weeks when we go back for her next appointment. She him her great progress. So she keeps working

I HAVE DECIDED I NEED TO WRITE A BOOK--A RESEARCH BOOK ON ELECTRICAL INJURIES... ASIDE FROM THE FACT I NEARLY GOT KILLED, IT DOES HAVE IT'S HUMOROUS SIDE... ALONG WITH THE FACT THAT -- APPARENTLY THE LEGAL TEAM ON "THE OTHER SIDE" IS READING THIS DAILY DOGGIE. .... TO RESEARCH BENTLEY'S SEX LIFE.. OR LACK THEREOF..

.I DO HAVE THE SURVELIENCE VIDEO OF THAT ELEVATOR EVENT.- THERE IS NO DOUBT WHAT HAPPENED... AND ALOT I DON'T REMEMBER--- BUT I DO REMEMBER AS TEHY LIFTED ME INTO THE AMBULANCE MY YELLING AT THE COLLECTION OF ABOUT 8 MEN "SOMEBODY GO SHUT THE ^&*()*&^% THING OFF"  AT WHICH POINT ONE OF THEM PRODUCED A KEY  AND WENT AND TURNED SOMETHING.

SO JACK'S WORK  IMPRESSED ME... BIG TIME.

I ALSO THINK RYAN LEARNED ALOT WORKING WITH HIM...

IN ALL PROBABLIITY  WE WIL  NOT GET ROUND TO PUTTING ON THE SHINGLES, I BOUGHT A BLUE TARP -- IT IS SUPPOSED TO RAIN FOR 3 DAYS  STARTING AABOTU NOON TODYA.. IF I CAN,   A FEW MORE ROPES TYIG IT DOWN MIGHT BE A GOOD IDEA.. 

MY EXPERIENCE WITH TARPS IS 2 FOLD...  THE ONE ON THE T TENT - I AM REMINDED LASTED FOR SEVERAL YEARS BEFOR I SPEN T MONEY ON SHINGLES.. AND WORSE... THE BARN-- 75' X 40'   REALLY NEEDED A NEW ROOF- THEY WERE TALKING  OVER $10,000 WHICH I JUST DID NOT HAVE...BUT MY FRIENDLY FARMTEK CATALOG HAD COVERS FOR  HAY STORAGE THAT WERE  R-E-A-L-L-Y  BIG-- SO I GOT A TARP  FOR ? $240- AND THAT LASTED ME ABOUT 4 YEARS TIL BOTH KIDS GOT OUT OF COLLEGE.

THE PROBLEM WITH THE CAN I AM NOW USING  IS THAT  TO GET IT BACK ON THE LOGS FAR ENOUGH  IT REQUIRES A BIT OF A TOSS....

NOW  RETHINK THE DROPLETS BIT I SPOKE ABOUT.  I HAVE LOST MY EYEBROWS MORE THAN ONCE.. SO TH ETIME HAS COME FOR ME TO GET SOME LIQUID POURING DEVICE...  HENCE THE OIL CAN WITH A PUMP AND A 12" LONG SPOUT... TO  PLACE THE OIL MORE CAREFULLY.

THE HORRIBLE MISTAKE YOU MUST NEVER MAKE IS TO USE A BLUE CAN  TO GET SOME GAS INTENDING TO EMPTY IT INTO SOME MACHINE...  WHICH THEN LEAVES A LITTLE GAS IN TEH  BLUE  CAN-- THAT IS A LETHAL SITUATION.

THE OTHER BIT OF FIRE EDUCATION  THE YOUNG KIDS NEED AROUND HERE IS  HEAT RISES     YOU CAN NOT START A FIRE BY PUTTING  A COUPLE LOGS IN THE FIREPLACE... ADD SOME KINDLING ON TOP AND  THEN ADD CARDBOARD ON TOP OF THAT..  THEY ARE ALWAYS CONFUSED WHEN THE CARDBOARD BURNS AND NOTHING ELSE-- I HAVE WATCHED THIS PROCEEDURE MANY TIMES...

TODAY HAS GOT TO BE "ONE OF THOSE DAYS"

THE PLACE IS FULL--- WE HAVE EVERYTHING WE NEED FOR THE NEW PUPPIES TO START ARRIVIENG  IN DECEMBER

HOWEVER I T IS GOING TO TAKE A WEEK TO FIND THAT EVERYTHING AMID THE ANYTHINGS BLOCKING THE PATH.

WE HAVE SOOOOO MANY ITEMS THAT WE SOMEDAY WILL NEED, WHILE NOT ENOUGH SOMEDAYS TO UTILIZE THE STASH.

WHERE TO START??  PRIORITIZE?

WE HAVE SO MUCH STUFF THAT SHOULD  BE USED BY THE VOLUNTEERS AND STAFF, THT HAVING A "IF YOU NEED SOME TAKE SOME" DEPARTMENT.. TEH CANDY SHELVING WAS SUPPOSED TO BE FOR THAT PURPOSE   AND WE ALMOST HAVE IT GOING ON THE BENCH BY THE DOOR..  BUT PEOPLE ARE NOT TAKING STUFF FAST ENOUGH-

HERE WE GO-- I AM TERRIFFIC AT SETTING UP SYSTEMS-- AND THEN FORGETTING WHAT I  ORGANIZED..

 IF AN OBJECT HAS BEEN OCCUPYING TH E BENCH FOR A WEEK  -- SAY PAM ARRIVA L (SUN AM)TO PAM ARRIVAL  THEN IT SHOULD GO OUT TO THE GOOD WILL BOXES-- OR SOMEWHERE...  O-U-T   THAT WOULD GIVE THE VOLUNTEERS A WEEK  TO LOOK IT OVER.

-I HAD PUT OFF CLEANING OUT MY CLOSETS BECAUSE I DIDN'T HAVE CARTONS-- AND THEN LAURA HRON AND TINA SENT STUFF  IN HUGE CARTONS---  STUFF  WHICH WAS VERY USEFUL--- BUT SO SHOULD THOSE CARTONS BE  USED. NOW I HAVE NO EXCUSE.... I CAN NOT GET BACK IN BED UNLESS I MOVE  TEH 4 BEAUTIFUL HUGE EMPTY CARTONS--

A MORE INTERESTING  "FOR INSTANCE" THAN MY CLOTHING... WOULD BE... THERE IS A PILE ON THE FRONT PORCH, AND IN TH AT PILE IS  ONE OF THOSE GREAT BIG CIRCLE COMPOSIT OF ALL THE CHICKEN BRICK PICTURES-- PLASTICISED... KIND OF A NICE THING I AM SURE SOMEONE WOULD WENJOY IT MORE THAN MY LOOKING AT IT THRU THE WRONG SIDE OF A DANE  DROOL DECORATED WINDOW.

WE HAVE SOOOOO MANY REALLY ACOMPLISHED PEOPLE AROUND HERE--TWO BEING AMY ND JACKIE OF QUILT  FAME... AMY HAD A BUNCH OF  PURPLE MATERIAL LEFT OVER FROM THOSE GREAT QUILTS OUT OF WORN FLUFFIES..  SHE HAS OFFEREED TO MAKE THOSE NECK WARMER TUBES OUT OF THE PURPLE- SHE SHOWED ME- AND I AM SURE EVERY ONE WOULD LOVE ONE... HOWEVER I AM TERRIFIED THAT THE 123  PURPLE NECK WARMERS WILL BE STORED BEHIND THE JARS OF DICKENSON CRANBERY SAUCE WHICH I CAN'T FIND EITHER. 

SO DON'T SET THINGS ON THAT BENCH IF YOU DON'T WANT THEM GIVEN AWAY.  WE DID MAKE A GOOD DENT ON THE DISNEY BALNKETS AS I THINK EVERY VOLUNTEER HAS AT LEAST ONE LOVELY WARM BLANKET....AND EACH DOG HAS 2.

--- I HAD OCCCASSION TO CARRY 2 JUGS OF DISTILLED WATER INTO MY BEDROOM - THO THEY WERE NOT WHAT I WOULD CALL HEAVY, THEY WERE BULKY AND CUMBERSOME.      AS I WALKED PAST THE SCALES, I WAS THINKING IF " A PINT'S A POUND THE WORLD AROUND" WHAT DID THESE  2 GALLONS WEIGH.   STEPPING ON THE SCALE    ---ABOUT 16 POUNDS....

I AM ASKING MY HEART AND MUSCLES TO CARRY AROUND AT LEAST 16 EXTRA POUNDS. -- SO STEVE....( STEVE #2...MEATCUTTER STEVE)  YOU ARE ON FOR THE BET... WHICH I HAVE FORGOTTEN   BUT  WHATEVER.. THERE IS GREAT NEED..

WHAT WOULD THE PILE OF WHIPPED CREAM LOOK LIKE THAT CREATED THIS 16 POUNDS-- THE SIZE OF TEH ARENA??? 

SO TODAY IS THAT DAY TOO.

CAKE ON THE 19TH  WITH WHIPPED CREAM....   THAT LEAVES 29 OTHER DAYS TO EAT THINGS NOT AS ATTRACTIVE .. OR CALORIC...

I CAN SEE DISTANCES VERY WELL AND NEED GLASSES  ONLY TO READ.. OR COMPUTE.. SO  NOW I AM INTO THE BUSHELL BASKET OF GLASSES YOU ALL HAVE DONATED , AND BETWEEN MY BEDSUDE, DESK AND CAR, I HAVE17 PAIRS OF GLASSES, NONE OF WHICH ARE QUITE RIGHT..

 IF TODAY IS ---THE--- DAY  ---I NOW HAVE IN MY POCKET THE SCRIPT FOR READING GLASSES...   - I COULD PROBABLY DO WELL ENOUGH WITH THE $1.99 ONES, BUT THE SCRIPT CALLS FOR 2 DIFFERENT STREGNTHS... AND WHY NOT... MAYBE IF I SPEND GOOD MONEY ON THEM, I WILL KEEP TRACK OF THEM.... MAYBE...

THEN THERE IS TEH EMPTY BUS BIT  ----    I TOOK CHAOS, BENTLEY AND SIZZLE TO THE FAIRGROUNDS TO RUNN IN THE PARKING LOT FOR 2 MINUTES... GOOD PRACTICE FOR SIZZLE TO  COME GET IN THE CAR WHNE I SPEAK TO HER....  IF SHE DOESN'T IT IS A GOOD PLACE TO GET IN THE CAR AND SHUT THE DOOR LEAVING HER OUTSIDE WONDERING WHAT T O DO.  SOOOO   IT IS WHERE THE SCHOOL BUSSE ARE PARKED IN A GREAT LONG LINE,  A COUPLE YEARS AGO WHEN I RAN  THE LITTERS OF PUPS DAILY, I NOTICED THE BUSSES HAD AN  "EMPTY" SIGN INTHE BACK WINDOW...  IT WAS  AROUND TEH TIME SOMEONE FOUND A VERY YOUNG CHILD ALONE IN A PARKED SCHOOL BUS-- SOMEOHOW FORGOTTEN--  WHAT A WONDERFUL IDEA-- AND SO SIMPLE....

SO WHY DID WE STOP THAT?  IT IS SUCH A GREAT IDEA  ---THE DRIVER WALKS TO THE BACK ... MAYBE PICK UP ANY ITEMS LEFT BEHIND AND SET THE SIGN INTHE WINDOW INDICATTING THE CHECK HAD BEEN MADE...WHEREVER THEY PARK THESE THINGS, IT IS ALWAYS IN A ROW,  FOR PEOPLE TO NOTICE---  THE ARGUEMENT  IS  NOT SHOULD WE DO IT, BUT WHY SHOULD WE NOT DO IT.?

 SCHOOL BUS DRIVERS HAVE MY TOTAL SYMPATHY - I WOULD  HAVE SOME DEFINITE IDEAS ABOUT HYOER KIDS BOUNCING OFF THE WALLS IN  BUS--  THEY WOUOD LEARN TO SIT AND STAY- AND I WOULD BE IN JAIL FOR CHILD ABUSE. BUT BECAUSE IT IS SUCH A DISTRACTING JOB, I CAN SEE WHY A LITTLE  KID COULD GET LEFT  HIDDEN IN THE BACK...  AS HAS HAPPENED MORE THAN A FEW TIMES ... SO WHY NOT.?  I AM GOING TO MAKE A PHONE CALL... AND MAYBE WRITE TO THE LOCAL   NEWSPAPER????

WAY DOWN BY THE GE FACTORY IN LYNN THERE IS A LADDER STORE-- I AM GOING TO GO BUY 2  TEN  FOOT LADDERS FOR THE NEW BUILDING--   ONCE PAINTED THEY ARE A PERFECT PLACE TO HANG BEDDING, TOWELS AND THE LIKE LEANING AGAINST THE WALL--  YOU CAN HANG 4 OR 5 BATHROOM TOWELS IN TEH SAME WALL SPACE A S THE USUALL TOWEL RACK.. WHILE BEING ABLE TO CHANGE LIGHT BULBS AT THE SAME TIME.  THEY MAY HAVE TO BE 9.5 FEET-- BUT HEIGHT CAN BE EASILY ADJUSTED.

i heard on the telli...black friday  will now start on thursday-- i wonder what our european relatives think about that..i must put stickers on 2 "day" clocks  friday will be held on thursday- and to alleviate confusion  thursday will be done on tuesday.  next week wednesday will be eliminated entirely.  there is no end....already i know.. with the trash... if monday is a holiday, then thursday collection will be friday.

 all of it is the design of many people who spend the entire year trying to figure out how to get the world to spend money they don't have on items they don't need.  i am as guilty as any... parked next to the antique icebox is a voting machine from florida.. it was on ebay years ago-- for $300  i could not resist- i had to have a look at this hanging chad bit. it has been worth the $300 to see one of the voting irregularities in florida that year. an error of design..

.there is a left side, right side, and in the middle are the holes to punch out making the chads...

on the left -- names of presidential candidates  bush, gore, and 4 more 

 on the right side  are another 3 candidates. pat buchannen, davis someone and  one more. 

people in general don't read alot anyway,

 so if gore was teh second one on the list, one might assume to poke the second hole to vote for him.

however   the second hole was for  top guy on the right side-- the gore chad was the third one.

i have shown this to many people and unless i warn them,  they all push teh 2nd chad  thinking it for gore

and that is pat's chad.. -- an innocent error of design?  could be... however....

i would like to see our voting proceedure "revisited"

i want new rules-  you should not have to wait more than 1 hour to vote. why should any section have a 6 hour wait?

and forget the computerization of voting. i want a paper ballot-  with all the paper wasted in and around teh gov't don't give me 

baloney about save teh trees... and  i much prefer the dunk a finger in purple ink  method-

all this is because i just sent $50 ( not sdp money....  mine...) to the ones wanting to count some ballots-

-that is not a statement about trump or hillary... my statement is... i want to know--

  ever since  that hanging chad bit, i have been very suspicious of anyone who says teh voting  in the states is perfect.

MY INSOMNIA  IS GETTING WORSE, NOT BETTER, SO LAST NIGHT I  TOOK TO GOOGLING THINGS LIKE THE MBTA AND THEIR RELATIONSHIP WITH ELEVATORS-.  NUMBERS , UNIONS, ADA,  AND THINGS LIKE THAT.. GOOGLE  WORKS.. IT WAS ENTERTAINING...

I WOULD MUCH RATHER BUILD BUILDINGS AND ARGUE WITH THE BUILDING INSPECTORS- BUT THERE IS ALOT OF INFORMATION "OUT THERE"- 

 BORING STORY....THOSE INITIALS ---MBTA-- ARE VERY CLOSE TO MTBE WHICH  IS WHY I HAD MONEY TO SPEND GETTING SDP UP AND RUNNING... LONG STORY....MY FAMILY HAS A TINY PIECE OF PROPERTY WHCH HAS BEEN A GAS STATION SINCE 1917- ORIGIONALLY  TEXACO-- THEN LASTLY   GETTY- WHEN I DECDED IT WOULD BE NICER TO HAVE A MCDONALDS THERE,  THE WORLD CAME CRASHING DOWN-- SOIL TESTING REVEALED GAS AND OIL IN THE SOIL.  I AM NOT SURPRISED.... THE GAS STATIONS FOR YEARS USED TO POUR THE USED OIL DOWN THE STORM DRAINS--- UNTIL EPA CAME ALONG AND THEY HAD TO HIRE SOME RECYCLING COMPANY  TO COME- TAKE IT AWAY  AND POUR IT DOWN THE SAME STORM DRAIN-- THEN THEY GOT STRICT..AND DISCOVERED THE TRICK... GETTY SAID TEXACO DID IT--- I WILL NEVER KNOW WHY I WONDERED ABOUT ADDITATIVES TO GAS... BUT  I FOUND MBTE WAS PUT IN GAS IN 1985- AND SINCE IT WAS A GETTY STATION THEN, GETTY HAD TO CLEAN IT UP... OTHERWISE WE WOULD HAVE LOST THE PROPERTY AND THERE WOULD BE NO SERVICE DOG PROJECT. ALSO McD'S WAS VERY NICE TO DEAL WITH-- MY SISTER AND I DID IT ALL WITHOUT A LAWYER OR   REALESTATE AGENT-- I JUST PICKED UP THE PHONE AND CALLED MCDONAO=LDS AND ASKED FOR TEH REAL ESTSTE DEPARTMENT----WE ARE ON OUR SECOND 20 YEAR RIGHT TO RENEW- AND IT IS ALL WORKING FINE.  

I KNOW LAWYERS AND REAL ESTATE AGENTS ARE VERY HARD WORKING- BUT-- DEPENDING ON WHO YOU ARE DEALING WITH... I DUNNO... I SOLD MY HOUSE/FARM IN LYNNFIELD  THE SAME WAY  .TO AN EXEC FROM DIGITAL ( I THINK)-- HE GAVE ME A CHECK, I SIGNED MY NAME AFTER INCLUDING THE STATEMENT ABOUT "YOU ARE BUYING THIS PROPERTY AS IS  WHERE IS" THAT WAS 1978-- AND THE SHED THAT WAS MY FIRST "BUILDING" FOR WHICH THE LYNNFIELD BUILDING INSPECTOR WOULD GIVE ME NO PERMIT BECAUSE HE WAS SURE IT WOULD FALL DOWN..... JANINE IS EXPECTED TO RIDE IN "THE HUNT" ---  IT IS LOVELY TO SEE BOTH JANINE AND LINCOLN ALL GUSSIED UP. LET ME TELL YOU IT IS A SHOCK--SHE WILL EVEN HAVE A WASHCLOTH FOR SOMEONE TO WIPE OFF HER BLACK BOOTS AFTER SHE IS ON THE HORSE.  LINCOLN WILL BE "BRAIDED" WITH HIS HOOVES POLISHED.. I HAVE TO ADMIT-- THERE  REALLY IS NO BETTER LOOKING HORSE ONCE HE IS CLEANED UP.

SHE BOUGHT HIM AS A 6 MONTH OLD GANGLY LOOKING TEENAGER- AND I THOUGHT SHE WAS NUTS.- BUT HE WILL HOLD HIS OWN TODAY WITH THE  VERY  EXPENSIVE  FIELD OF HOUNDS.RED JACKETS AND THOROBREDS.   MORE  IMPORTANT THAN WHAT HE LOOKS LIKE  IS THE FACT THAT SO FAR HE HAS CARRIED HER ROUND THIS MADNESS WITHOUT ERROR....I.E.  NO FALLS.

IT IS A DRAG HUNT-- WHERE THE HOUNDS ARE FOLLOWING THE SCENT OF A SMELLY RAG DRAGGED AROUND THE COURSE VERY EARLY THIS MORNING.  MY FRIEND ANN  USED TO "RIDE THE DRAG"  BUT TODAY I THINK  WE  WILL SIT IN MY WARM CAR IN HER DRIVEWAY  AND HOPEFULLY  WATCH THEM GO BY..  I AM ALWAYS NERVOUS--- ALOT CAN HAPPEN-- AND IT IS VERY COMMON TO HEAR THE AMBULANCE SIRENS- AT WHICH TIME ANN CAN TELL WHERE THEY ALL ARE.. Goldie and her brother Finn from the Service Dog Project in Ipswich began visiting students this fall and the faces of the children showed how much joy the two dogs brought. Goldie and Finn recently visited Sarah Schocker's class of students with severe physical and cognitive challenges. Staff was able to help students reach out their hands to pat the tall dogs and they were delighted.  Goldie also stopped by Recovery High, where she was eagerly greeted by students.

 

"There is so much evidence that interacting with dogs can help children with their health, emotional regulation and social skill development.  Seeing the looks on the faces of our students when they are with the dogs is amazing!  We are thrilled to have Goldie and Finn visiting our Kevin O'Grady and Recovery High students," said Fran Rosenberg, Executive Director.

it is all ingrids fault--- she sent me a  "thing' to send her a big file...and my machine  did an amazing collection of saved vfiles shortened into larger ones -- it is now sending a 3.1 GB file where it says only 1.9 GB is possible...  proving once again it is alot easier to talk about computer capabilities than it is to actually get anything done with them.  i am sure this  computer has a perfectly good reason to consider a shortened file bigger than the origional, but i won't bother today..

there is also the arguement about  "how many angels on the head of a pin" when i ask the movie thing to copy it somewhere it make a tiny dot--- upper right--then swings a  tiny minute hand  kind of thing that caused 3 adults to stand and say "i think it moved.... no it didn't .. i'm sure it di d"   then  all of a sudden it says "no i didn't"  and you are back to the start. which then causes a round of "my machine doesn't do that"

so the doggie bag will have   janine's new book ( if she finishes it-- it is on horse rescue-  very interesting.. not amusing) betsy' jewelery, my donkey toothpick holders, harness, and things like that-- kitty gets the gold star for pulling the calendar thru... once again .. it is a thing of beauty..  keeps gettin g better.... and every time it makes us swear to start filming  the next one in january-feb snow-- and we end up trying to find snow in september for the christmas shot...

WOOOWOOOWOOWOOOOOO

Just got back from having sonogram at vets. I know you don't trust them but we did count 7 puppies, very active and good strong heart beats. 

Gussie is doing extremely well. She weighs 134.5 which means she's gained 5 pounds. Dr looked at liver, kidneys, bladder etc and proclaimed her very healthy. 

That's all for now. Take this all with a grain of salt, as you know. Will be in touch as we get closer to Dec. 10

i like that report and trust that  discovery..... just fyi.....my feeling on  sonograms  if they can see one good strong heartbeat, that would confirm the pregnancy  -- however...-if they can not find a heartbeat that does not necessarily mean no pregnancy...it just means they could not find one....you get to talking probabilities here-

- simply put --- a yes is a yes-- but a no is only probably a no...

now as for the number-- counting pups is not an exact science... i have seen in my lifetime   things like 7 puppies turning our to be 3 because they counted teh same ones 2 or 3 times...  and 7 pups turning into 13  because they missed some. the game there is how many heartbeats did they see in the same frame- and i doubt it was 7-- sometimes you can see 3-- for the vet to say 7 i would suspect more than 7...- at any rate she  "has a belly full" 

if she is due dec 10, she should come here around the 3rd or  4th  which would make dec 2nd-3rd furnature moving days.

now as for the donkey-- janine decided she was too stressed separated from the "herd"  so she removed the barrier--- probabilities here, mean she will probably have it outside and off camera- but if she is stressed, and janine could be right,   we have to deal with her first- then the cmeras..  she looks perfectly comfortable now...  we still must hand feed her grain-- she is thin...

we had a traffic jam in the yard yesterday...  the huge truck with the lumber for the roof arrived and unloaded the supplies onto the second floor of the building-- then the hay truck with 200 bales of nice timothy hay for the loft in the barn.. and then the firewood  2.5 pallets dumped by the teepee  which , until ryan gets it stacked, is blociking in one of the golf carts-- we did get it covered with an orange tarp- so it is all under control as  much as it ccna be.

my nutty prof will have to be at 11 am today-- hopefully someone will record it and replay at 1:00.   i do have a dr. apt which i must keep...  and i got all ready-- i will be dealing with the panama canal and getting heavy ships overland with a demo with my rubber ducky and moving water..  i like water....

i have read a couple books on the building of the canal - non so far have dealt with the physics but talked greatly about  bugs and people dying with  mosquito borne  diseases- which certainly was a huge factor.

i am also going to move the camera angle to get a slightly  more  horizontal view-- the straight down version is hard to visualize...

you have no idea how  our  5 gallon water bubbler sounds like a dog vomiting.  i wonder if the dogs hae discoveed tht every time anyone gets a drink of water, i run around giving out cookies so they don't have empty tummies early in the morning... with danes, morning empty tummies = a small quantity of yellow goop ceremoniously dumped on the floor by one dog while the other rush over to see what comes out.

 i think  the reason the dogs/pups find  the process of vomiting so attractive is the fac that  when they are about 3 weeks old mommie  backs off from nursing, and the only way a wolf mommy can bring home food is to fillher tummy and vomit it up at home for the pups.  i try to tell the mommies here it is not necessary, but they all seem to do it...  that unique noise carries on into their adult life.

THIS WAS THE WEEKEND OF THE FIREWOOD...  SOMEONE  GAVE US A BIG TRAILERFULL OF CHUNKS  OF AIR DRIED WOOD, WHICH WILL BE WONDERFUL TO HAVE----WHICH TANNER AND I SPLIT-- TANNER LIFTED,  I HAD THE JOB OF  SIT DOWN AND MOVE YOUR HAAND 4 " EVERY 10 SECONDS-- NEARLY WORE ME OUT  !    THE SPLITTER THAT IS... THAT SPLITTER DOES NOT OWE ME A DIME--IT WORKS-- AND HAS FOR YEARS-- THRU MANY CORDS...  

I HAVE BEEN BUYING WOOD.... KILN DRIED... I LIKE  A FIREPLACE--GOING FROM NOW TO JULY !!

HOWEVER... A CORD IS A CORD  IS A CORD AND AT $500 PER KILN DRIED I WAS VERY SUSPICIOUS AN D WARNED THEM I WAS GOING TO STACK IT-- 4 X 4 X 8 A FULL CORD.. EVEN WARNED, I WAS ⅓ SHORT..

I WAS REALLY PLEASED WITH THE 2 DOGS IN NEW YORK-- CHARLIE AND FINN--AND THE PHOTO OF THE 2 OF THEM STANDING  IN TIMES SQUARE-- JUST LOOKING AROUND---  DOING WHAT THEY WERE TOLD TO DO....NO LEASH  ON EITHER ONE.... 

 I AM AWARE....PRIDE GOETH BEFORE A FALL-- & I KNOW I AM STILL REACTING TO THE  RESPONSE I HAD WHEN I FIRST JOINED ADI  "YOU DANE PEOPLE ARE NUTS"   BUT I AM VERY PLEASED WITH THE DOGS WE ARE PUTTING  OUT..  THE "WE"  IS NOT JUST MEGAN AND STEVE... BUT ALL OF THE VOLUNTEERS WHO HANDLE THEM FROM PUPS... AND START THE SPOON FEEDING.

I AM GOING TO BE INTERESTED IN THE AUTHORS AS THEY GO ALONG.... FOR SOME REASON WE DID NOT DO AS MUCH SPOON FEEDING OF THEM AS WE DID THE SNAILS- I DUNNO WHY... BUT I REMEMBER WE NEVER HAD A REALLY DEFINITE MEGAN MARCH PROCESS... AND THAT WAS  DUE TO THE  SHORTAGE OF SPOON FEEDING. ---WITH THE NEXT TWO LITTERS COMING, I THINK WE SHOULD PAY MORE STRICT ATTENTION  TO THE 2 TAPS ON THEE CAN( DISH) ... I THINK THE AUTHORS GOT SHORTCHANGED.

We delivered a pumpkin pie to the firemen of our area and once again, they were very please.  Smiles, hugs and handshakes enjoyed by all.  We chatted and laughed and they told us about the all night fires they fought the night before, in extremely strong winds.

You always use the saying “Random Acts of Kindness”.  We experienced that kindness today when Captain Dave, Seppi and Garrett came to our house equipped with new smoke alarms, ladder and all the tools to replace the old ones...they even added a couple.   How is that for Our Appreciation Day!

I wonder what our neighbors were thinking when they saw that big red fire truck sitting in front of our house...pictures attached.

small world---  long story....  really about apples?

ever siince i went and bought 100 blue ribbons for 15 cents each rather than  trundle arouwnd to many dog shows, i have not been a favorite of the AKC-- and rightly so- i am more than slightly opinionated   (just in case no one noticed...)...i had a female dane i wanted to breed---and being unregistered no member of the  showing world would even talk to me-- breeding unregistered dog was/is against the teachings  of the akc as a matter of fact breeding a dog tht does not have a championship title is dreadful..  

They have a point- they are trying to discourage random breeding  and   "improve the dogs- to breed standards"  and alot  of people work very hard at that..  my problem is the people who have set the breed standard have lost track of a basic healthy strong dog.

let me remind you  pride goeth before a fall - and i should not open my keyboard  to this because disaster can strike anywhere anytime  especially in animal breeding....( we all know the disasters of random breeding of humans-- but i won't get into that)

what set me off- at least this last time, is a woman called  yesterday  who wanted to donate 8 dane puppies she couldnt sell for $700... and being well aware thaat goldie ( our ghost of the left hand drawer)sometimes comes up with suggestions to which i should at least consider... i asked her about her  danes.... she had 17 which she called  "her dogs"  plus these 8 pups.-- i know what it is like to have 25 dogs-  and  i constantly live in fear of having a bunch of dogs i can not afford or physically afford  to care for...- but even assuming hers are perfectly cared for, i went on about what kind of danes?  she immediately bragged about  "they are all over 39 inches tall and 200 pounds..."   now that is a big dog by my standards...my next question was  how old is your oldest ?  6 years.--it was difficult-- but i  was careful and said we tried to keep the size around 32 inches  because they seem to us,  to live longer/healthier- at which point i got the "breed standard" lecture... which was all about color, height, weight... 

not all show breeders are that  insensative--- there is one breeder   jp  yousha of chromadane  from ? texas  --- i would love to connect with her  -- she has very accomplished danes in the agility world- and i would be thrilled  to  maybe get a pup of hers or use one of her studs to  keep our bloodlines varried.. and even better get her involved with adi and put some of her dogs to work as  certified service dogs.    i have never been able  to convince her that i was not  a complete nut raising unregistered danes for profit..  darn it...

so back to my apple story---- way back ... i had a nice  dog( 100% bmw  kennel) i wanted to breed -- and called around-got no where --- til i ran into Linda-- in marlboro new york--- had a nice dog  EARL   was only 4 hours away by car... and was happy with $1000 without all the "pick of litter" or breeding agreements that  are worse than adopting a child.  i wandered back and forth every 2 days to get mabeline bred-- which produced pipi and  much of our current line...mabeline->pipi->bitsy-> thumper-> nearly every dog we now have....

so why apples?  linda's family owned  apple orchards- and had a apple storage building that would make our arena look like a small shed--  and all those  apples had stickers on them  to identify the original orchard  .... 4812--- which i just found on  the apple i had for breakfast today.

 now for a particularly distasteful topic.....apparently thoreau threw up again last night... and ate it back again..  danes often do that -- sort of wanting to look it over and leave out one piece that wasn't working...

Charlie and Finn were amazing ! They handled the city traffic and sounds like champions ! Finn even had no problem peeing on tiny patches of mulch when I would ask him to ! All the people in the city were very educated about service dogs and no place we went to gave us a hard time . Everyone just talked about how beautiful the dogs were and how well behaved they were for being so large . 

We went to get some dinner after we watched a rehearsal and Q&A about the performance .We made sure to arrive back at the Duke theater early so we could find Ann and figure out where the best place to sit with the dogs would be . So we got front row , dogs yet again we're great . Charlie commented that he enjoyed watching the Danes expressions during the show as they sat and watched the actors on stage portraying soldiers dealing with PTSD . At one point there was a lot of commotion on stage followed by a gun shot and Finn made it clear he needed to try and check on the solider in front of us acting . He quickly returned back into his down stay half tucked under my chair . 

We sat next to the founder of warrior canine connection during the performance and met his service dog ( 11 year old golden ) . After the show Finn and I quickly found the bathroom were he tucked in nicely . Leaving the bathroom we came across a veteran in the hallway having a really difficult time after watching the show . He sat with his head in his hands trying to slow his breathing . Finn saw him and I told him it was okay and he walked right over to him and put his head in the guys lap . Instantly calmed him and put a big smile on his face , a beautiful thing to watch . I called Finn back and he pranced back over and we waiting for Charlie and Ann . We then loaded up on a giant charter bus . It was packed with people and we squeezed on with the Danes . Charlie boarded last and couldn't stop smiling and said he loved seeing the Danes in the sea of people and everyone was so happy to have the dogs around . 

We arrived at the after party were we were greeting by Charlie and explore staff and cast members of the show . It was an excellent opportunity to talk with Charlie one on one . He had nothing but nice things to say about what we are doing at Service Dog Project . He even really enjoys the mail calls/trainer talks :) !! He got up on stage and specifically mentioned SDP and how we are doing such wonderful things , by helping so many veterans . There was a photographer there that got a lot of nice images he is going to email them to me . Overall it was a great experience for us and the dogs , we appreciate you allowing us to go and represent SDP .

NO HANDCAPPED PARKING IN FRONT OF STORES THERE....     ACTUALLY, THEY PARK  ALL THE CARS IN NEW JERSEY....

NEW YORKERS ARE-- UNIQUELY A GUTSY BUNCH...WHEN  PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION BROKE  DOWN  THERE ARE PHOTO'S OF THOUSANDS WAALKING ACROSS THE BRIDGES TO GET TO WORK...... IT WAS NOT JUST 9/11  BUT MANY A BLIZZARD HAS ENABLED THE CITIZENS OF NEW YORK TO ORGANIZE THEMSELVES.  I HAVE SEEN  ?WHEN?  THE MAYOR GOT ON THE HORN AND  APPEALED TO NEW YORKERS TO  RESPOND TO  NO ELECTRICITY-- OR TOO MUCH SNOW.. AND THEY DID WITH MINIMAL LOOTING BEHAVIOR.

WHEN I WAS A KID-- MY MOTHER  WOULD TAKE US ON  "EDUCATIONAL TRIPS"  ONCE A YEAR---   I LATER FOUND OUT IT WAS THE WEEKEND OF THE  YEARLY  PARTY OF MY FATHER'S MENS CLUB--- I KNOW SHE BROUGHT THE 3 OF US TO BOSTON TO LEARN ABOUT PAUL REVERE- AND ALL I REMEMBER WAS THE PARKERHOUSE ROLLS WE HAD  AT THAT HOTEL... I HAVEN'T CHANGED MUCH.....  HOWEVRE SOMETHINGS  HAVE CHANGED....BACK THEN - YOU THREW GUM WRAPPERS OUT THE CAR WINDOW- YOU JUST STEPPED OVER HOMELESS AS PART OF A CITY EXPERIENCE...THE  LADIES ROOM EXPERIENCES WOULD SEND  ANY SANE WOMAN RUNNING BEHIND THE NEAREST TREE... PLUS RESTROOMS COST 10 CENTS IN A MACHINE THAT LOOKED LIKE A PARKING METER.  -- YOU ALWAYS HELD THE DOOR FOR THE NEXT PERSON SO THEY COULD SAVE 10 CENTS.

 HOW DID I GET GOING ON THIS???

CONTINUING... IN BRITAIN ... IT WAS CHEAPER- EVEN WITH THE EXCHAINGE RATE...  REST ROOMS WERE A PENNY ( WHICH WAS A HUGE COPPER  COIN)  AND THE  TERM OF "I NEED TO SPEND A PENNY"   REPLACED MANY OF THE AMERICAN DESCRIPTIONS WE HAD FOR THE PROCESS....

CONTINUING WITH A THREAD.... THE HUGE PENNY COIN WAS IN ANOTHER EXPRESSION... THERE WAS ALSO A ¼ PENNY CALLED A FARTHING-- ABOUT THE SIZE OF THE AMERICAN DIME... SO THOSE BIKES WITH ONE BIG WHEEL BECAME "PENNY-FARTHINGS" 

THUS ENDETH THE LESSON OF THE DAY.

I COULD DO A WHOLE DD ON THE CREATIVITY OF THE BRITISH MONETARY SYSTEM-- IF OUR MONEEY IS BASED ON  THE FACT THT SOMEONE HAD 10 FINGERS, I CAN NOT IMMAGINE WHAT THE GUY LOOKED LIKE WHO DESIGNED SHILLINGS( BASE 12), POUNDS, ( BASE 20) & GUINNEAS( BASE 21)--- AND THEN THERE WAS  A PERSON'S WEIGHT... FIRST POINT TO PONDER....I CAN NOT SAY I OVERSLEPT, BUT I DID WAKE UP EXPECTING TO HAVE TO TRY AND STAY IN BED TIL 4am- WHEN IT WAS ACTUALLY 5:30am... VERY STRANGE.. LAST TIME I DID THIS WAS A DAY WHERE MY DUTIES OF THE DAY WERE WELL DEFINED- AS THEY ARE TODAY...

SO MY QUESTION IS----- DOES TOO MUCH FREEDOM CAUSE INSOMNIA  AS YOU MENTALLY WANDER....I AM TOTALLY CONVINCED DOGS LIVE LONGER HAPPIER LIVES WHEN THEY HAVE A JOB TO DO.  IS THIS A CASE AGAINST RETIREMENT COMMUNITIES WHERE EVERYONE SITS IN ROCKING CHAIRS ON A PORCH COMPLAINING ABOUT THE SQUEEK OF THE LOOSE RUNG UNTIL THEIR HEARING DETERIATES TO THE POINT OF HAVING  TO COMPLAIN ABOUT  THE US POSTAL SERVICE - OR SOME OTHER USELESS PURSUIT.-- IT WOULD MAKE MORE SENSE TO COMPLAIN ABOUT THE FIRE DEPARTMENT'S EFFECIENCY, RATHER THAN THE POST OFFICE.

THE SALE WAS LAST WEEK- SO EVEN IF I DID NEED BLUE TOWELS, TELLING ME I MISSED THE SALE WOULD JUST MAKE ME FEEL BAD.

SO FACED WITH A  GROUP OF PEOPLE WHO'S IMMEDIATE LIFE COULD BE SPARKED BY A NEW AN DIFFERENT CONCEPT OF PUPPIES BEING TRAINED FOR SERVICED DOGS, I THOUGHT A ½ HOUR VIDEO MIGHT HAVE A PLACE INTHE HOLIDAY SEASON OF PARTIES...  I HAVE PACKED UP ALL THE PIECES-- A POSTER,THE NUMBERS, A SHORT  EXPLINATION OF WHO AND WHY,   THE WIINING CERTIFICATE ( SIGNED BY ME !!! )-- EVEN A COUPLE PAPERCLIPS TO CLIP THE POSTER TO A BOOK  DUBBING AS A EASEL.

I LEFT OUT THE DONATION AMT BECAUSE  IT CAN BE ANYTHING-- DAWN DID 25 CENTS AND HAD FUN -- IF YOU ARE AT A HIGH ROLLERS COCKTAIL PARTY WITH  THE KIND OF PEOPLE WHO HAVE  A WAD OF $20 BILL S RIGHT OUT OF AN  ATM  MACHINE YOU CAN SAY TH E NUMBERS ARE $20 EACH -- HOWEVER IF A GUY  COMES ALONG WHO ONLY HAS $1, YOU CAN  GIVE  THEM A NUMBER TOO..  THAT'S NO SKIN OFF YOUR NOSE... ALL YOU NEED IS A LAPTOP OR SOMETHING TO PLUG THE THUMBDRIVE INTO  - AND YOU WOULD HAVE TO STAND AROUND AND TRY TO  EXPLAIN THE SHATUPON SOCIETY --  THE PUPPIES SHOULD  GATHER A CROWD.  IT WOUOLD BE LOVELY IF SDP GOT 100% OF THE  "TAKE"  BUT IF YOU ARE DOING THIS FOR A SCHOOL OR CHURCH, 50 - 50 WOULD BE LOVELY TOO.  AND IF WE DON'T GET ANYTHING, WE COUDL ALWAYS HOPE FOR PUBLICITY  AND MORE CAMERA PEOPLE....

SO THAT IS WHAT IS SUPPOSED TO HAPPEN- AND  RACHAEL ( OF  BELLA AND GEORGE FAME ) WILL TEST IT.

WE SHOULD BE READY TO MAIL THE PACKAGE WITH ALL THE  STUFF...  THE FIRST OF THE WEEK-

I REALIZE I COUDL WAIT ANOTHER YEAR AND GO THRU PATENT OFFICE AND COPYRIGHT ETC....AND THIS   THUMBDRIVE COULD BE USED OVER AND OVER- TRUE... BUT THEY WILL BE GOING TO  OUR "COMMUNITY" OF   CP's - THERE ARE ENOUGH PICTURES OF CHILDREN IN THE PHOTOS FROM WHOM  I AS SDP -  HAVE PHOTO RELEASES-- AND OTHER PEOPLE DON'T- SO THAT SHOULD DETER SOME...  BUT I AM NOT GOING TO WORRY ABOUT THAT.

I  SHOWED IT LAST NIGHT AT MAIL CALL--- AND ASKED FOR COMMENTS- BOY DID I GET THEM....

NO WAY COULD I CAST ASPARAGUS AT ANY RETIRED TEACHER-- THE FACT THAT  THEY SURVIVED TEACHING IN GENERAL DESERVES A LARGE MEDAL--- IF I WAS IN CHARGE OF EDUCATION THOSE LITTLE BEASTS OF UNKNOWN FATHERHOOD, I WOULD BE IN JAIL FOR MAKING THEM WEAR A DUNCE CAP.

SO THE TEACHER INSTINCT TO  CORRECT ANY AND ALL OF MY TYPICAL SPELLING GOT ME MANY EMAILS FROM FORMER TEACHERS....

AND I DECIDED ----FORMER TEACHERS WHO ARE STUCK ON  PERFECTION ARE DETRIMENTAL TO  MY PROGRESS.... 

MANNERS IS AND MANNERS ARE WAS THE MOST COMMON-- AND I  WOUOLD LIKE TO CORRECT THAT ONE-- WHICH MIGHT TAKE A WHILE....

THE FACT THAT I DID NOT LEAVE WORDS ON THE SCREEN QUITE LONG ENOUGH IS MAYBE THE MOST  IN NEED OF FIXING... AND I KNOW HOW TO DO IT-- MAYBE NOT THE CORRECT WAY, BUT I KNOW HOW I CAN GET THAT CHANGED...
